Where can I find a list of new changes in Newspaper 7.6? Looked around and within first 10 minutes I did not figure out it yet. When I click details via Envato Market plugin it sends me to https://themeforest.net/user/tagdiv/portfolio?TB_iframe=true&width=640&height=662 but nothing there also did not found it from the forum and other pages. Did I miss something somewhere?
NB! Used Envato plugin to upgrade Newspaper theme (looks like it was not a good idea) and it still upgrading it, over 30minutes, So I cancelled it and upgraded it another way within few seconds. Has someone tried Envato Market plugin before?

Sorry for my bad English but I will try to explain.
Make please option for “Generating thumbnails featured images only”.
A small example: for uploaded images only to one post of a total size of 1.5 Mbytes generated images total size of 10 megabytes.
Why generate so many thumbs with different sizes for the inner images that more will not be used anywhere?
For internal images, as I understand it, it is enough to generate a few thumbs, for example, to display the gallery.
Over 2 years of using this Great Theme preview the junk accumulated on hosting more than 3 gigabytes.

As soon as I installed the newspaper theme, all of the authors names changed to section headers of my blog. For example, if the author of the article was originally John Smith, it is now changed to Arts and Culture (a section title). How can I fix this problem and retrieve the individual author names?

Okay so are there added values in one of these tables to elicit the behavior for the articles?
We need to be able to add from an interface the various values the posts are taking. For example, I want to be able to send the Via and Via URL from this interface. How does that happen what value is added and where? Also to be able to choose between video and standard post types. All the extras are the things I need to figure out so we can get this thing working properly and then start using it for our other publications.

If you want to have the sidebar on mobile before the post content, you will have to modify the theme files to make the sidebar come first before the post content. Unfortunately there is no setting for this and it can only be done through customization. Here is an example on how to do it:

that button does not ask for the theme activation. It asks to type the word rest in the field above. Even though you already see the word rest in there, it has to be typed again. Here is an example:

you might have changed one template and tested on another. If you edited the post templates like my example make sure the post you are testing has the default post style. You have to make this modification for each post style in particular.

a) The logo can be any size you want limited only by the screen size. It will resize along with the screen. Here is an example: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_cars/ The image here is 1920×580
b) The post images have a thumbanil that applies to each image within a post content with sidebar. That is 696 pixels wide. If no sidebar is used, the image can go up to 1068 px
c) The maximum image size inside a sidebar is 324pixels
d) 1920×1080
You do not have to keep track of all these images as our theme will create thumbnails and re-size the images properly for all situations.

We did run tests withe the official AMP plugin by automatic the wordpress developers and it runs properly with our theme. There is no need for us to create AMP implementation as there already is one created by the wordpress developers. You will have to make a few adjustments in the post templates if you want to move the comments section. There are 2 files that correspond to each post template you simply need to move the code of the comments to the file that contains the related articles code and move the comments above. for example on the default template
You can find the comments in the single.php file. You will have to move it to the loo-single.php file like so:

2) I could use pre and next to switch page normally but the url in web browser does not locate right again. It is very confused as if users try to refresh this page , it will be located to other place.

We are using tagDiv’s Newspaper theme for our blog “Organic Beauty Life” http://www.organicbeautylife.com.au/. We have recently changed our site’s colours and need some help getting elements to show. Specifically in the “Our Authors” widget in the footer. Can we remove (or change) the colour, so the border is the same as the background (black). Also the author names are not appearing as they are black on a black background. How can we change the colour of these please?

I appreciate your response. First, I want to let you know that I contacted the author of the plugin. He is aware of the cause of the conflict and pledged to fix it with his next release.
Regarding using either the mobile theme or an AMP plugin to offer a mobile experience, I think this is the wrong approach. An AMP-enabled mobile page is completely different than the pages generated by your mobile theme plugin. AMP pages get added visibility in Google search results and lead to increased clicks, impressions, and user experience thereby leading to improved SEO. AMP compatibility may also impact ranking within Google search results.
AMP isn’t about providing a theme but rather supporting a set of technologies that give the pages preferential treatment in Google search — an important element of any news site. I find it difficult to believe Newspaper is the best news theme for WordPress if it does not make it easy to support the implementation of AMP pages. On my site, AMP pages are only viewed when clicking on a Google search result on a mobile device. Visiting the site directly will load the regular mobile theme. Additionally, we provide a link on the AMP page to load the mobile theme for a better experience.
Making compromises for better search result placement is not optimal. Because of this, modifying the existing mobile theme so it is compatible with AMP would obviously be the preferred solution but you have stated in previous communications with me that this is not on your roadmap.
Therefore, choosing an official AMP plugin that works flawlessly with Newspaper as you have done with Contact Form 7, WP Super Cache, Font Awesome 4 Menus and other plugins is essential to ensure that Newspaper remains the best and most full-featured news theme for WordPress. The AMP for WP plugin is the best we’ve found and this is the one I would recommend you take a look at.
