Case in point, plugin was updated TODAY.

No reason for theme folk to make their own version when the de-facto best solution for WP exists right now.

New version today has major updates for the AMP standard, and also new customization options.

It works with the theme. Doesn’t need to be bundled; as it’s easily downloaded for those who know what it is.

Apasati o singura data pe tasta Down … meniu barul dispare. Apasati tasta Up tot o singura data. Meniu apare cu exact aceeasi dimensiune. Totul este perfect (din punctul meu de vedere).

Al doilea test. Apasati de doua ori tasta Down, dupa care o singura data tasta Up. Meniul apare cu logo micsorat. Apasati iarasi tasta Up si de aceasta data bara apare cu logo marit (cu dimensiunea initiala).

As dori pentru siteul meu ca acest meniu sa isi pastreze dimensiunea initiala.

To achieve that result you need to edit the query for the category page like in this example: http://screencast.com/t/YWpW2ugY Basically you will need to retrieve the subcategories of the main category into a variable then for each subcategory echo its posts into a list.
Please consider that this is a very complex task which involve many customizations and very good coding skills. If you can’t do it yourself my advice is to find someone to help you or hire a freelancer to do this for you as we can’t offer any customization services at the moment.

To change the picture orientation most likely you will need a different cropping system for that thumb. We use a WordPress function – add_image_size() – you can read about it here – https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/add_image_size – and here – http://www.davidtan.org/wordpress-hard-crop-vs-soft-crop-difference-comparison-example/
The thumbs used by the theme are defined in td_config.php and if you want you can define a new one using theme api: https://forum.tagdiv.com/td_api_thumbadd/ The new thumb must be generated with a different cropping system in order to get a different aspect ratio for the image.

The theme uses the WordPress thumbs cropping system and depending on image’s aspect ratio the result could be different, you can find more details here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/image-size/ and more details about cropping here: http://www.davidtan.org/wordpress-hard-crop-vs-soft-crop-difference-comparison-example/
There is not an ideal image size for all thumbs, and a way to find what image will fit best would be to do some tests depending what blocks/modules you use most add an image more nearest with aspect ratio of the thumbs in which you want it to look well. Yes, I appreciate that this preview bar is not a direct result of the Newspaper6 theme. However, I think you might still be able to help us.

I think we have somehow changed one of the theme settings, and this is what is injecting the Myfonts code into the page.

So it appears that the source of the myfonts code within the “JS generated by theme” is one of the entries in the wp_options table.

I suspect the way it got there was via this panel in Theme Panel > Theme Fonts > Custom Fonts:

We originally had the myfonts code pasted in here. We’ve tried to overwrite it with a simple empty script tag, but this doesn’t seem to have worked.

Can you help us to fix this?

Using a plugin works too (as long as it is bundled and/or certified to work with the theme). Either way, looking forward using Newspaper and Newsmag with Google AMP.

This occurs when the IP address is pointing at the new & future host of the website… trying to launch but have been getting stuck with bugs to fix.

you might want to add this topic to an inevitable FAQs page in the theme docs, as this one will start coming up a lot. Since folks are now hearing about it, even though it was announced last year — takes awhile for it to percolate outwards. Frankly having a web host with http/2 support is more critical in real world than AMP support, but the plugin right now *is* the best solution.

Everybody else:
problem with buildling this into a theme is that as this changes, it might require theme updates to stay on top of some elements and then becomes yet another thing related to WP changes that cause theme updates unrelated to the theme — and some folks do so much customization that multiple udpates per year turns into a major pain.

PLUGIN is best choice as it can be developed/updated, even customized, outside of the theme framework.
