Thanks for the code, I have applied the code and change the background color. The problem I have faced is that it cropped my woocommerce pages from the top side. Plz take a look at the pic:

1) Position the logo in the center
2) Make Visible the Search Icon in the main menu and Cart in the sub-header

Hi,

That could be done but with plugins, for example – https://barn2.co.uk/share-woocommerce-products-social-media/

The theme by itself can’t share products or Woocommerce related elements, only posts. Try some plugins specifically created for sharing products, they should work.

How to Revert the url /amp - topic

Hello,

This question is preemptive, I want to activate the amp version in my theme.

I already have Newspaper 9.7 installed.

My question is how do I redirect the url / amp to non amp, in case I do not like the amp version.

I want to know so my visitors do not get a 404 error page if I disable them.

I know it’s by htaccess, but what’s the code?

Wpbakery block elements are not visible in Newspaper - topic

Hi, I update my theme to the last version avaible. I have 2 errors on my site.
The first one is that all block elements from wpbakery are not visible while tagDiv Composer plugin is activated, when I deactivate tagDiv Composer plugin, Wpbakery block elements are visible again.

The second one, its that, tagDiv Composer never loads, just a infinite spining wheel, and console logs bunch of errors that are listed below.

So my site its currently down. No other plugins are installed except for those required by the theme and wpbakery, again, when I deactivate tagDiv composer Wpbakery works fine, when I activate 

tagDiv composer plugin wpbakery fails to load  block elements. </strong>

I updated the theme and installed mobile plugin, with AMP WP plugin, following instructions. Problem is: I cannot see the amp settings link on admin side menu. Any help on this?

Hi, I have the the latest version 9.7.3 installed. Everything working fine except the Mobile Theme. Mobile theme is activated but not fully functional. Especially the MENU option; for an example; when I select a menu/sub-menu Quotes: and then it will only show BLANK PAGE and the FOOTER info, even though there are more than 15 articles in the quote category. On Desktops its fine no problem. Please help me fix the problem. Thank you in advance. Alam

Hi,

Do you maybe use a child theme? If you do, try making a small modification in it, in the functions file

The child theme included in the 9.7.3 package contains this modification.

I should note that there are however some issues that are caused by having a child theme active at the moment. Like for example post templates not applying properly when set to posts. As soon as they are fixed, a new theme update will be released. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi there, I am trying to figure out the best way of having the ability to use the Big Grid Flex 5 and have the ability to ‘Pin’ the top story to the left block. For example, on a new site, if there is a significant story it needs to stay in that location (the large left block) when more stories are added. Ideally, it would be great if the left block can be one category, and the right 4 blocks are another. For example, the left block and be categorized as ‘top news’ and ‘news’ then when it is no longer relevant the ‘top news’ category can be removed and the main block goes back to normal.

I hope this makes sense and that you can make a suggestion as to how this would work.

Hi, on our Author page (which appears when you click an author name) only a few of the posts are showing. Is there a way to make this page show all posts by that author? I can’t find anything in the settings to change this behaviour, thanks.

For example. on this page the author has made 151 posts but only 15 are showing.

I see that the issue is fixed for most pages. But there are some articles whose AMP version isn’t indexed and hence doesn’t show up in search results. Here are few examples.

Unfortunatly on this website the custom fonts aren’t displayed correctly, for example at the “Blocks/Widgets Title” at the “Article Title” or in the Modules.

Hi,

It isn’t difficult, depends on what you want to from the above. One way is to use widgets per language. WPML will add an option to them where you can set this.

So for example begin with a empty footer template. In the footer columns add the widgets you want for one language – http://prntscr.com/o0aqay then add others for a different language – http://prntscr.com/o0aqv2
In my example They will appear depending on the language, the first one will appear when the language is English, and the second one when the language is French

As far as I know there is no limit, you can add as many video IDs as needed. You can also embed a ready made YouTube playlist in a column text for example

Hi,

What theme version was the website using before you updated? I would suggest as a first step to reinstall the theme by FTP – https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/
Remove the current theme and upload it again. There were changes in the theme file structure, it is better to update by FTP in this case.

Also if you use an older PHP version, try to update to version 7, 7.1 or 7.2 for example. Check the wp-memory as well, set it to 256M if possible – https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-requirements/

Hi,

If you are using child theme for post template, you need to edit the loop-single-x.php file that represent the post template that you are using; for example if you are using post template 3 you need to edit this file wp-content/themes/Newspaper/loop-single-3.php

There are no conflicts. Can you tell me how I can properly index the AMP version of my articles? I have about 100 articles on the website and only 60 of them are known to Google. It’s all a mess right now trying to configure and fix this issue. Any help would be really appreciated!

Adding an Ad Placement on my Homepage Sidebar - topic

Hi Tagdiv,
On my website iMontreal.ca I want the ‘Large Rectangle’ Ad Placement that appears at the top of the Sidebar across all the categories (For example: imontreal.ca/category/montreal-shopping/) and articles of the website also on the sidebar of my Homepage (iMontreal.ca). For some reason it does not appear there. I don’t know if I have to activate some specific setting or what.

Is there a separate Sidebar for the Homepage? Where is it?

I’ve looked all over the backend and documentation and cannot figure out what to do. Can you let me know please.

Hi,

Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict with untested plugins, please deactivate all non theme/tested plugins, also if you are using child theme, clear all cache and try again.
