Ignore the activation messages as the free version cannot be registered with the plugin author. Only if you buy the plugin can you revceive an registration code. If you have a bundled version there is no registration code so you cna ignore the message. It is a nag to get you to buy the plugin. But you do not have to as you already have full access (legally) to the plugin as provided by us using our license agreement with wpbakery

Hi,
My host complaining that CPU usage is high every time, when index or admin file called and also site taking huge time to load.
Using Newspaper V 7.5, WPBakery Visual Composer5.0.1.Wordpress 4.7
They are saying problem with index and admin scripts.
Also tried with Heartbeat Control plugin, still the same..

OK, I have updated the theme installing the envato plugin. Q1: Does thos mean I will never have to update the theme manually again? Q2: Where do I find the current version of my theme?
I still do not have ImageBox as an option, and I u understand it I will still have to update Visial Composer manually as described here https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/. Q3: Where do I find or download the file Newspaper\includes\plugins\js_composer.zip from? Q4: Can I somehowe make Visual Composer update itself automatically? I believe your FAQ says it will be updated with the theme?

I have visual composer 4.12; meaning no Image Box element to choose. I guess this means I have to upgrade. Or from where do I download it to my computer from?

I deleted my wp bakery plugin to update visual composer. I am trying to update by uploading newly downloaded js composer zip folder but couldn’t update it. I end up with broken link page.
I would appreciate if you could help me resolve the issue asap as i currently don’t have a visual composer to help me with some crucial updates.
I am trying to create an image grid consisting of the feature images and titles of pages only.
I try to use the Post Grid item in Visual Composer.
I select Data Source: “Page” and leave other options at the default settings.
Nothing ever shows.
On the Visual Composer support area I found a similar issue and they responded with:
Hi, once you add post grid you have option to choose Data Source and there should be pages listed. If for some reason they are not listed check if you have any errors in browser console and make sure to use latest version of VC. Otherwise please apply for support at support.wpbakery.com and share your site credentials. If you received VC within a theme then you should ask your theme author to assist you and in case he is not able to help he can open support ticket at our system for you.
Do you know if the Newspaper theme supports showing an image grid of pages? Is it possible to use the “Page” data source in the Post Grid Visual Composer element?
If I cannot do this using the Post Grid VC element, how else can I achieve this?
I will also need to achieve the same grid, but with a category grid also.
Everything in the Newspaper theme seems to be geared around showing ‘Post’ links but I need to be able to direct users to categories and pages also…
Any advice is appreciated!

I updated the theme as visual composer is still the old version. I had read on the forum that you would only be updated with the new version of the theme, but it is not.
While tagDiv Social Counter does not work properly if the active I go out these errors:
1) Warning: Can not modify header information – headers already sent by (started at /home/maltapla/public_html/viraldazed.com/wp-content/plugins/td-social-counter/td-social-counter.php:3) output / home / maltapla / public_html / viraldazed.com / wp-content / plugins / sg-cachepress / class-sg-cachepress.php on line 335
2) The plugin generated unexpected output of 4 characters During activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.

My newsmag is v1.5, I just updated the Visual Composer to v4.12 following this method: How to Update Visual Composer plugin.
Now I see the activation notification. Why ? How to solve this Issue?

The Visual Composer comes bundled within the theme’s files and it is licensed to the theme, you don’t need to register it and you cannot update it directly to it’s producer. Only we can provide updates for it and in the next theme version will will provide also the latest version of Visual Composer available on market so you will be able to update it. You don’t need to ‘activate’ Visual Composer, as that only applies to the paid license version, not the free bundled version; meaning you can’t activate the paid support from WPBakery since you didn’t buy it alone. So, you have to ignore the ‘nag screen’ — it still works perfectly, as it only needs to be ‘turned on’ from the actual WP plugins page.
If you use ‘cracked’ software you can get malware, hacks, and banned forever by your hosting provider(s).
Nobody here will help you if you use cr8ked warez.

1. You are in the the folder and it is not the right place. You will find all the plugins in the theme package that you download from themeforest – http://screencast.com/t/5uYWOQ7y The documentation is fine.
2. The notification appears from the plugin, it specified in the update guide that you don’t need to register it and to not worry about the plugin’s warnings.
Please read also the official documentation – https://wpbakery.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=524337 The plugin comes bundled within the theme and it is licensed to the theme. IOf you want to buy it, you are free to do this. If not please wait the theme update and you will be able to update it.

I think you got seriously lost someplace.
When you go to ThemeForest, on the downloads page, you can choose multiple options including “all files and theme” or just “the theme.”
As stated, you need to download the main “all files” zip and then unzip that on you hard drive.
In there is a folder called plugins, which clearly contains
1) revolution_slider_5
2) js_composer.zip
3) td-mobile-plugin.zip
4) td-social-booster.zip
5) td-speed-booster.zip
I assure you it is there as thousands of other people here can attest.
You don’t need to ‘update’ the Visual Composer plugin just because an update is available; as it might not be tested to work properly with theme. So VC is only updated when the entire theme package is updated, unless you buy your own VC license separately. So once you install the version included with theme, you don’t need to ‘activate’ it with WP Bakery; but I’m guessing that is not your issue if you didn’t even locate the plugins folder.

Install via FTP
You can install the theme in two ways: through WordPress or via FTP.

Download the Newspaper files from your ThemeForest account. Navigate to your Downloads tab on ThemeForest and find Newspaper. Click the Download button.
On your local computer extract the ZIP folder called Newspaper-tf. After extracting files you will open the folder called Newspaper-tf where you will find more folders (child-theme, documentation, licensing, plugins, psd).
Locate the Newspaper.zip in the Newspaper-tf folder (this is the theme you want to install).

And visual Compsers says that to activate visual composer I need to pay more money. WTF is going on? I paid almost 100 dollars for theme and now I need to pay for required plugins one by one again? What sort of scam it is?
*** YOU DO NOT NEED to ‘activate’ the plugin with WP Bakery to use it; that is a feature they put there to get you to register for updates and support if you have a paid license.
With the bundled version, you get updates when the theme is updated. Period.
You can ignore the “nag screen to register/activate” with WP Bakery, which you cannot do, since you don’t have a paid license with the ‘bundled’ free version, which works with the theme.
Simply ignore the nag screen. 25,000 other people with the theme use it without activating it, so that should give you some measure of comfort — you do *not* need to ‘activate’ it with WP Bakery to use it. That option only applies if you paid for a separate individual license in order to activate updates and support with WP Bakery who make the plugin — since you didn’t buy a single license for the plugin, you cannot activate it for their updates/support, and have to wait for current tested version with each theme update.
The v5 version is fairly new, and does not add a gigantic number of things to the version still included.
The demos on ThemeForest are all built with the version you have, and that is the version you should use to work with the theme if you want to.

2. The pictures are posts from your site, not simple images. This is a block that is added over a row that has a background image set to it. It can be edited on the homepage using visual composer. You will have to learn how to edit pages in visual composer and then learn how to use the theme block and their settings in order to filter posts: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
3. You do not have to add a youtube viudeo to your server. You can embed a video into your posts or pages. Here are a few refference tips for a starting out with wordpress and themes.
1. You will have to learn how to use wordpress and how to create posts, categories, pages…etc. There are loits of online wordpress tutorilas that provide this info

3. Learn how to use the visual composer plugin as you will need it to add or edit content on your pages.

I’m not sure what layout you want to change but I assume you are referring to the pages and the page content. You can simply edit the page in visual composer and edit each block, add or remove elements. You will have to learn how to use the visual composer.
