I am not sure which of the tagDiv plugins I can use while I am using WPBakery Page Builder. Can you tell me which of the tagDiv plugins will work with WPBakery and which will cause issues.
Yeah, it’s WPBakery Page Builder V5.6 that’s causing the problem. Can you confirm this is the visual composer plugin I should be using please. I think I used the one that’s distributed with the latest version of Newspaper.

The last version of WPBakery is 5.7 but we tested only the version 5.6 with our theme ( because the v5.7 was release after we made the update ), so in current theme is the version 5.6; we recommend to use only the version that was tested with our theme.

I am using WPBakery Page Builder in my Newspaper 9 themes. I have all the tagDiv plugins loaded but not activated. Which of the tagDiv plugins can be used with WPBakery and which can’t.
Can I delete all these plugins and still have the theme work correctly. Please advice.
Have you gotten the update for WPBakery Page Builder from 5.6 to 5.7 or not? It is impossible to tell in my account downloads on Themeforest what you are downloading as there are no dates or anything else to let you know when the current files were uploaded. This is very frustrating.
Hi – website is https://billyscrashhelmets.com. Have just updated to Newspaper V9.5 and the homepage is created using WPbakery 5.6 (so both latest versions?). All pages built with WPbakery seem to be working ok – except the homepage where featured images are all blank. Page cache has been cleared. When I deactivated all plugins, featured images show – but activate WP bakery and they don’t. Is this a known incompatibility with WPBakery and is there a way around it?

I have the latest Newapaper theme version installed. I also have installed WPBakery Page Builder plugin along the theme updates, still it is not the latest version.
I was getting the error WPBakery Page Builder already excists, so I deleted it and installed it again.
js_composer is no longer shown in wp-content/plugins even though it is installed. Should I put it back?

If you mean WPBakery, what exactly is loading, or what is happening? The WPBakery page builder should work properly with the theme, same as before. I made some tests, seems to work

The booster can only be updated manually, like the mobile theme, revolution slider and WPBakery. The others can be updated in the theme plugins panel

There will be an update button for each of them there, after you update the theme. The tagDiv composer and social counter should update automatically, but this can fail sometimes.

I’ve updated the recent news mag theme. Added in the new js_composer.zip plugin. When i check the plugin it says “There is a new version of WPBakery Page Builder available”

That is the Gutenberg editor introduced in WordPress 5. Were the pages built with WPBakery? Why exactly are the pages impossible to edit?
If the WPBakery edit button does not appear in Gutenberg it probably means you do not use the 5.6 plugin version provided in the theme package

After upgrading to WordPress 5 and Newspaper 9.5 the pages build before the update are working but are impossible to edit.
The WP Bakery are is empty and in the WP Gutenberg Editor shows this weird code: https://www.screencast.com/t/Xvfs1w5qk

I have enjoyed great success with the Newspaper theme but have run into a problem after updating to 9.5.
I can no longer edit my homepage and a few other pages. I get a 500 error.
Also when I try to use TD Composer on the front end, the page comes up blank.
I can edit posts just fine.
My homepage is built with the backend editor (WP Bakery) and my sidebar was built with TD Composer but I cannot access my homepage at all.

Please not that we need to test all versions of WPBakery that we include in our theme, in this way we fix the bugs we find, and the WPBakery 5.7 was made in 12-13/02/2019 -> https://www.screencast.com/t/7I54SwMCKTH this version is not tested, you’ll need to wait until we make the next theme update.
