Gents, I’m updating my theme. Got a problem with WPBakery Page Builder. In order to update that one, I have to remove the old version. I can click as much as I want on deactivate – it won’t do it.
How do I solve this one?
Hi,
Glad you solved the issues. Yes, they will not play well together. Wpbakery will work well and the tagdiv composer as well, but not both at the same time.
Thanks.
OK… Lesson learned. Finally read ALL of the docs and went back in to tdcomposer to rebuild the section.
I see that WPBakery does not work well with tagDIV themes.
Problem solved.
OK. First off, I have been working with this for all of three days. So, the solution is probably dirt-simple to someone who knows this system inside-out.
http://magazine.heritageessentials.com
Here is the issue;
1) The featured images for “Big Grid Full 3” originally displayed as landscape rectangles. I was very pleased with that. So, I was not trying to change it.
2) Using WPBakery, And, while trying to figure out how to get the parallax effect working (I did figure that out.. kinda) I must have tripped over a setting that changed the perspective of the featured images – changing them to big-herkin’ squares instead of the rectangles previously
3) Searching everywhere in the system, I cannot figure out how to get the rectangle perspective working again.
I have worked in WPBakery checking settings for the column and the block it contains. But, nothing does the trick.
Can anyone recognize this problem and guide me towards the correct settings to change? I really hate those big, square images on my home page.
I threw up a dirty page that shows the “Before and After” problem HERE
I am sure that I have the right code because I used it on a blank page, with the classical editor (no tagDiv composer, no WP Bakery) and the form worked well. That’s why I’m thinking that the problem comes from the element “Newsletter” of tagDiv composer…
Hi,
I was replying another message and found out that you already answered this one last year… I’m so sorry.
I think all the issues are related to WPbakery page builder.
I’ll give it a try re building all my pages with the Tagdiv composer and let you know.
Thanks again Simion!
Have a great weekend!
Hello,
I want to start off and say that I love the Newspaper theme and am overall extremely happy with the results I am able to achieve with it.
I’ve recently run into a problem on my website’s homepage (https://www.thepostmillennial.com) where I have a mobile and desktop/tablet version of the page. This was achieved by using the responsive column options in WPbakery.
The issue is that duplicate posts are showing up in some of my blocks because they have multiple categories (for example breaking news and politics.) I tried enabling unique posts but this displays unique posts across both the mobile and desktop/tablet rows of the home page making it so that the articles are outdated on the desktop/tablet version since they are already displayed on the mobile row.
How can I make it so that I have both a mobile and desktop/tablet row that display unique posts in their own right but do not affect each other?
Thanks for reading.
Best, Madison
Hello,
I use the TEXT WITH TITLE item im WP BAKERY along with Newspapertheme to have headlines above objects like buttons or maps etc. As you can see on the screen attached. In the TEXT WITH TITLE item I leave the text field empty which was not a problem so far. Since updating to Newspaper 8.7 i get a notification that the text field is empty like “Html code here! Replace this with any non empty text and that’s it.” How can I get rid of this? I have more than 300 TEXT WITH TITLE items on my page with the text field empty …
Hi Simion,
I didn’t know that tagDiv composer cannot be used on posts. I really wanted to use the progress bar from the tagDiv composer, much prettier than the WP Bakery one. Will it be possible to use tagDiv composer on posts in future updates ? At least for some elements, not all of them.
Hi,
The tagDiv composer cannot be used on posts, only the WPBakery page builder can be used but it is disabled by default in our theme (bundled plugin version). It is not recommended to use this page builder on posts.
If you are using WPBakery page builder for the website, please deactivate the tagDiv composer and multi-purpose plugin. Check the results and let us know.
Thanks
Hello,
If you use vc on posts, then unfortunately you will not be able to use our tagdiv composer as it will not work on posts and it will conflict with wpbakery page builder with some elements especially images. In this case you should continue using tagdiv composer or remove all VC elements from your posts and use the tagdiv composer. Do not use both at the same time.
Thank you!
I run a recipe blog that relies heavily on post layouts made with WP Bakery Visual Composer and an add-on for displaying recipes. My only complain with TagDiv Composer is that it will not allow me to display my images correctly on posts using WP Bakery Visual Composer’s “Single Image” module.
If I de-activate WP Bakery Visual Composer, TagDiv Composer doesn’t seem to work on Posts; only Pages.
How can I:
A) stop TagDiv Composer from giving me weird image display sizes/cropping on Posts
or
B) use TagDiv Composer on Posts and not just on Pages?
Hi,
That was quite an older version, much has changed from version 7.7. That issue could be caused by the tagDiv composer being active along WPBakery page builder. In similar cases deactivating the tagDiv composer fixed the problem. The tagDiv composer will be activated by default as you install/update the theme. Try deactivating it and check the results.
Thanks
Hi,
I tried to update the plugin provided by Newspaper 8.7 theme : WPBakery Page Builder.
I want to upgrade it at version 5.4.7 but after research, i understood that we have to wait until the author of theme suggest an update of this theme with the latest version of WPBakery Page Builder included.
Did I understand well ? If yes, when the author of this theme will propose this update ?
Thanks a lot for your answer.
Hi,
We are trying to debug this issue since 10-12 days, but still no luck, Every-time we post article on fb it shows other articles featured image and same image was showing for every new post we add,So we started testing by checking og:image url etc by installing yoast SEO plugin and it didn’t worked then We are getting lots of error from theme, our site was crashed so we deactivated all the plugin or u say normal troubleshoot we did as described in wordpress support, now after changing theme to default 20-17 theme it works fine, I disabled every plugin on VT today at 3:45pm (Sunday) except for WP Bakery (Theme) And then I tried to debug a VT post on FB Debugger
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/sharing/ NO WORK.
this is the website url https://www.veteranstoday.com
So I disabled the THEME NEWSPAPER and put in the generic FIFTEEN Theme from WP
Then I went to debug on FB and it worked! Boom! The correct title and featured image were showing, so we know it’s theme error how to solve the pblm plz let us know

Is it possible to get the normal stretched row with wpbakery streched row? It doesnt seem to work… Aswell as 6 colums etc. Is it dependend on a certain version or so?

Hi,
I can’t change block title background color in the new version Newspaper 8.5.1.
It is still possible with Newspaper 8.2 version and WPBakery 5.4.5.
How can I change this color now?
Hello team TagDiv!
why Wpbakery page builder cant see the template on backend editor? refer image here i.is.cc/LZMa9Hr.png
and classic template i can see the code refer image here i.is.cc/LZR2vdb.png, pls help me
Thanks
Went into several posts on my site to edit featured images. Within each post, I can see the Word Count, but regardless of either the Text or Visual tab, none of the content on the page is displayed in the backend, only the front end. so it identifies that the content is there, but there is no visual representation of content or html under either tab.
Which made me realize that there is no Visual Composer toggle option on the post or any pages, which comes standard w the theme.
I went into WPBakery Page Builder Settings and clicked Activate WPBakery Page Builder and it takes me to a landing page to pay for it. But, since it comes with theme and I paid for theme, it should be inclusive.
Please tell me how I can activate VC/WPBakery Page Builder – that should solve this issue, correct?
Paul
Why [WPBakery Page Builder] can use in post that’s not a post builder ?
Hi,
I have the exact same problem. It works in Firefox but not in Chrome. http://tipicaweb.com/clientes/ddh/bienvenidos/
I’ve deactivated all plugins except for WPBakery Visual Composer and the theme, but that did not resolve the issue. I also tried to update the WPBakery Visual Composer to the last version 5.4.7, but is the same. Can you help me please?
I have tagDiv composer installed and active but it doesn’t appear anywhere. I only get option for WP Bakery Page Builder. If I de-activate WP Bakery, then I still don’t see any options for tagDiv composer.
Using Newspaper latest update version
I have deactivated feautered image in posts in newsmag post settings panel. Instead i insert image in post using wpbakery single image element, when using settings – fex reducing size of the image in this post from original 1200×628 til feks 50% – nothing happends when using wpbakery single image settings.

@birjitsaha There is no need to activate the WPBakery plugin bundled with the theme
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Only if you have a purchased plugin you can activated with the provided license key. The plugin provided in the theme package does not need any activation. Please ignore the activation message.
