The blocks were designed to work with categories, to make them work with custom taxonomy you have to make modifications on their code structure and add new fields on their settings panel. You can chose the grid’s style from big grid settings in Visual Composer: http://screencast.com/t/pZgc5OGXXaB Notice that we added the new grids in version 2.1 of the theme, so make sure you use unless that version, otherwise try to update the theme at the current version available on themeforest which it’s v 2.2. The theme doesn’t have an option to apply different filter for Visual Composer blocks, to have for example in big grid on first module on the left one filter and on the other ones, another filter. You will need custom modification in theme’s core files to achieve that functionality. This modification involve custom work and unfortunately we cannot offer it, as we work hard on the development, updates, fixes and support, but you can always get a freelancer from sites like: http://studio.envato.com/ to do it for you.

I’m projecting my newspaper, but I don’t understand how I can assign my news on each block of the big grid, as I want and non automatically
For example, big grid has five spaces: one big place on the left and four smaller places on the right. I need to split these five block, because each time I put a news on the big grid there is a rotation (in the big place there is always the lasta news) and I don’t want that.
I’d like, for example, put a news on the big space and change only the smaller places

@euzebius This is how it was designed if you don’t have the a featured image the placeholder thumb will appear on modules. You can disable it from Theme Panel > Post Settings – http://screencast.com/t/ugfP0rr0mTln but please note that some blocks may need the thumb as the css may be applied on it.
Or you can replace it with your image like I suggested above.

Installing the Newspaper theme this doesn’t mean that it will automatically change the old shortcodes for you homepage. You will have to create a new page using the Visual Composer pagebuilder, set the page template.. – https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/ also a video tutorial that may help – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgWqozuqmJk then set it as frontpage. You don’t have to be a developer to do this, just to have some basic WordPress knowledge and also we will answer for the theme related issues. Please note that if you install the demo without content it will import only some fonts, colors… it will not add new pages, posts, categories and also it will not change the frontpage.
Also if you want to keep your site running, you can install the theme on a subdomain to customize it. 1. The font settings from panel will not be applied on your post if you use Visual Composer on post as the theme supports Visual Composer on posts but doesn’t have css for it. It will work like the text block works on page content. You will have to use inline css or add an extra class to the text block and use custom css to change the font. ok, I will try to explain.
We have added a block 18 element in our homepage and we have set it to bring articles from a specific category (This category has no subcategories). When we reload the page to see the outcome, we see the block element without the article of the category, as shown in the image below:
When we click on the “Όλα – All” Ajax filter, the article is displayed, which is what it should do:
How can we make it show the article by default, when the page is loaded, without the user having to click on All? We don’ t want to have the Ajax filter enabled.

I have a problem With accessing the possibility to rearrange and edit the modules on the front page.
I need to change titles and color, and also reposition them.
To put it simple: I dont know where to find the layout of the front page to start edit and rearrange.
Also I am not sure if Virtual Composer is working as intended.
There is also an issue with social Counter Block not displaying right.
I have gone through instructions and tutorials, but I cant find any solution. Maybe I am overlooking the obvious, so please forgive me 🙂

I currently run two adsense ads side by side sized 320×250 on the posts page, i want to change to two 336×280 ads side by side but the content frame on the post page is only 740 pxl. Is there an easy way to increase the width to 672 without ruining the layout ?

I know that I can link the title block to those sites but is there an easy way to modify the template to bring in those external posts.
I have previously done this with another site but it required extensive theme customization and am hoping there is a simpler solution with Newspaper theme 🙂

Block title span contains an inline margin-right property ( my blog is Arabic ). i can’t find it in main css file.
I want to change it to margin-left. How it is possible?
Like the guy on Newspaper them who was “furious” over problem, and got all sorts of support, turned out it was issue with Cloudflare. Wow, huge time waster for TagDiv.
Okay no problem but I hope that wasn’t meant towards me because I did that in this forum and this is Newsmag not Newspaper. I was not that furious either.
I know that Tagdiv said they would continue to offer us support but I also did not know this forum was separate from Envato, since we really have to go to Envato to get to it or put it as a bookmark on browser or straight from themepanel.
There is this thing called purchase code too. Still is being tracked by Envato even if this forum is 3rd party. Not trying to be a d*ck. I am just not made out of money. I pay for one theme then all of a sudden Envato wants more. I should be upset.
One theme and that does not mean, well he did not pay enough, now lets ask for more. I understand authors paying for support but there is a difference from authors saying they are charging and then Envato saying they are making the authors charge. Authors saying is better than a marketplace doing it for them.
Does not bother me if Tagdiv actually says they would do it on this 3rd party forum because it is coming from them but Envato is making it look as they are trying to suck as much as possible and this sure sounds like vampires without the blood sucking.
Their taking the authors share. I am just informing about what Envato is doing so Tagdiv knows but since everyone here is acting like there is nothing to worry about. I will just forget this ever happened or even just not come in the forums at all.
I hardly ask serious stupid questions, like some I have read in here. So making me feel bad for something I hardly do, does not help anything either.
The main reason I come to these forums is to see if I can offer some help but that looks as I am more a problem than a help or I just stepped on your territory Chris.
If my opinions or willing to try to help in these forums are being a problem or I really stepped on you territory then say so. Giving information about changes to Envato bothers people that they rather not hear it, then I can stop that too. Let you all find out yourselves then.
You guys did a very nice job on this theme. It seems very easy to set up with only a very few exceptions. I have a few questions.
1. Currently the category tabs on block 3 are aligned to the left. Please provide me the instructions on how to align the category tabs to the center.
2. There are only a maximum of 2 or 3 maximum category tabs on block 3 can show up on the phone while I can see plenty of empty space between the block title and the first category tab. Is there a way to move the category tabs further to the left?
3. I am building the site for non-English speakers. Where can I change the words “Load more” for block 3 and “New Sticker” for the new sticker?
