Added this, but it’s still the same. In horizontal position is everything ok, but in vertical one this block doesn’t change its width..
Note WordPress cannot “enlarge” images, only make them smaller, so you need a plugin like Thumbnail Resize to add that function. The theme doesn’t re-render your original images, only make smaller thumbnails from the original image and crop them to maintain aspect ratio with the modules/blocks.
You can also set the compression ratio for the thumbnails as per my sticky post on “optimization” to make the thumbs more optimized for page speed on home page.
When you say “not cropping” — do you have example?
e.g., link to original image on your site,
and link to page where the thumbnail is that isn’t “cropped” ?

I have problem when I put html embed code of facebook like box or youtube the width is fixed and not how i want to be. For example I have changed width to 900px but still remains the same 500px and also block is wide one column and I want to the social plugin to be wide all over the side width also height and width of youtube doesnt change.

We have a large ad network and dedicated senior rep with Google AdSense. In our sites we are using a wide variety of content in our sidebars including search, relational content, and the ads are not the primary element, so while this is stated
Drawing unnatural attention to ads includes placing Google ads in a floating box script that causes the ad to appear in a “sticky" position on the page as the user scrolls down. This type of ad implementation is not permitted.
The meaning of that text refers specifically to a floating sticky AD, not your entire sidebar; meaning, it is a direct violation to have sticky ad similar to floating social buttons.
But specifically:
They have looked at our sites numerous times and said it’s not an issue in this context. If you have nothing on your sidebar except an ad and cause just the ad to stick — THAT violates the TOS. If you have 10 things on your sidebar and ONE of them in the middle is an ad, that does NOT violate the TOS as you’re not specifically “drawing attention to the ad” — you are “keeping content visible” which would otherwise disappear on scroll — meaning, it’s the same as having a “short” page vs “long page” … you’re drawing attention to content, and there happens to be ad as smaller part of that … so in a 300×1400 block, a 300×250 element is only a fraction of the “content” and so you’re not targeting eyeballs with just an ad.
Doubleclick actually allows ajax reload of ads on the page, which is different of course (look at mashable home page right now to be assaulted by Star Wars ads…!). This is NOT the same thing.
So, note that keeping your whole block of content visible is one thing, keeping an ad visible to draw attention to it is a different thing.
We got approval and getting paid every month across our network of sites. Your mileage may vary.
No luck involved on our end, we KNOW this is okay and have it approved. But do what you want.
(FYI: above a certain payout amount or number of sites they *do* check your sites once per year, based on our experience the past decade.)
I believe you can change that in the visual composer under the “edit” block, there is a field to set your own custom title like “Book News” or similar. 🙂

I’m trying to move the easy-social-share-button css files but it doesn’t seem to work. I’ve inserted below code in td-speed-booster.php

Now, I would find it really hard to believe that you do not know how to configure your Theme to work 100% with WPML in this day and age (April 2015), or that you do not own WPML and have not tested it with it.
Your Theme offers a basic “Translation” help in Theme Panel. — So, when WPML picks up String Lines across the website, you can translate them in the backend, but these translations then don’t show in the front-end. Still, WPML picks them up, so it means WPML is doing its job…but your Theme is blocking front-end display of translations and overriding them with your Theme Control “Translation” help, which is empty. (This means this information you provided is false: http://screencast.com/t/928QuPRfAO )
To test this, I used your Theme Control “Translation” help, and these translations DO show in the front end…but they are permanent, no way to turn back to English. This means somehow, your code is forcing the theme to only show what is inputted in your Theme Control “Translations” page.
At this time… Can you please tell me what configurations I must make to disable all of your Translation help and remove it from code? Where can I find all the code and what should I delete without damaging Theme? I truly believe this will make WPML work with your Newspaper Theme.

I would really like to use UNIQUE ARTICLES option on my home page, but it is not possible in the way i want to, and as i saw, other people had same issues too.
We should be able to decide in which blocks we want unique articles. For example we dont want it to be used in News ticker, and i also dont want it to be used in block on my right side where is Popular articles.
Also, it would be really useful if we could somehow set where articles goes first (for example: Big Grid), and make that block first priority.
I am not sure is this possible or not, but it would be nice if we could. Regards.
Hi I am hoping someone can help.
When I create a new page template to set as the new homepage the images within and Block settings are not aligned.
For example within the headline slider the last two images drop to the next line. And within other boxes they all stay aligned as one line.
However on my homepage live on the site I do not have this problem. Until I edit these with the new boxes I want within the template and the images do not stay aligned.

Hey, it doesn’t really help, as the second link is actually meant for theme developers.
I have a fix, the one provided in the second comment. Having that placed wherever $custom_title is used, in td_block.php does the trick for the custom block titles.
It’s just I need to put these in each time the theme is updated, which is not very cool.

Hi,
You can enable Unique articles feature for your page or use offset: https://forum.tagdiv.com/unique-articles-and-offset-newspaper/
The “Unique Articles” feature, when enabled, it only shows the posts once on the page, so the latest articles appear at the top of the page and the oldest at the bottom affecting the post from the latest art section also. If you have pagination unique articles doesn’t work.
Also there is an offset option in block settings, you have to use the same category when you set offset: http://screencast.com/t/YMlLBglBpZI
Or you can filter your articles using a different category for your blocks from block settings.
Please note also that the Big Grid is not a slider so the autoplay option for Big Slide(newspaper) wont work. You ca display Big Grid on category page from Theme Panel > Categories – http://screencast.com/t/EwKBk7z0T or do this for each category – http://screencast.com/t/yjAEDOCls

Basically, I do not want posts that appear on my slider, to appear in other blocks of the homepage below.

1. I also tested this and unfortunately it doesn’t work. Any way using dot to category base is not a clean solution as I don’t know exactly how wordpress code for permalinks is created, so it can work for a while and when something is changed by wordpress it can stop working. I suggest to find and try a plugin for this like(I did not tested but you can try it) – https://wordpress.org/plugins/fv-top-level-cats/
2. When you make a parent category megamenu(with subcategories), the subcategories are added automatically so please remove subitems(added by you manually) form Appearance > Menus: http://screencast.com/t/sz8NAV3z

All of a sudden i found out that after i added this height for these blocks it looks bad on mobile devices. Blocks go one on another. How can i do that this additional css code doesn’t work for mobile devices?

In the theme we included a smaller version of the demo which comes with all page templates and the basic setup for starting a site. We didn’t included the whole demo because we wanted to keep the theme as small as possible. The xml was not included in the theme package because wordpress importer is buggy and it doesn’t save the entire data (sidebar, block settings, footer widgets, etc have to be configured manually).
On our demo’s menu are added only some categories that are set to megamenu and pages with submenu items: http://screencast.com/t/7sffQJtdul You can make your menu that you need by adding your pages and categories like in the screenshot.
