Hi,

I would like to display the author next to the post date and also remove the comments count (as we use facebook comments and this only counts wordpress comments)

Sep 19, 2014 | <author> <remove comments> 18

Can somebody tell me best way to do this across all blocks/modules?

Thanks

Craig

Hello it’s not working for me. Is the current update file missing a few files?

Quite disappointed, you are leaving users that do not want a responsive website out to dry.

Going back to older version is not an option because of some bugs. (like: “fixed bug with spaces between blocks + other UI problems“). Therefore this is, in no way, a solution.

So I have to wait 2 – 3 months now with the construction of my website? 🙁

Hello. I have recently purchased the theme and have been trying to customize it. I have been used my previous theme more than eight years which is why I would like to implement some of the same design concepts only am not sure how.

Mainly I would like to use some gradient or texture between the block as quite a few of the readers have been complaining about the white space to quote one ” This one will be too when you get all that white space out of it – everything appears to be floating on a sea of white paper and it’s easy to get lost.” How can I achieve that ?

and secondly many people enjoyed the way categories were displayed in a menu with their descriptions on the home page – as seen in here : archived
Can anyone suggest a manner by which I could achieve a similar result in Newespaper ?

My current site is at : http://www.theskykid.com

Hi,

You can add them like this: http://screencast.com/t/fyQwFaji and use the tag filter to control the posts you want to show in each block.

Hi,

For the category page you can change the background color from theme panel, like this: http://screencast.com/t/dEEQQbpFUwae
Use this css to change the background for the page wrap, like this: http://screencast.com/t/OApu5JiWI1A

Add it in theme panel > custom css:

.header-logo-wrap img {
padding-top: 30px;
}

.td-page-wrap, .td_block_mega_menu .td_block_inner, .td-more-articles-box {
background-color: #4b4b4b !important;
}

Thanks

You can’t do anything about javascript hosted on other people’s websites, like Google, unfortunately. This is why Google lists this as “suggestion” and not “critical”…

Some people do deferred loading, or async mode where it’s available, but generally you have little control over content hosted from other people’s sites being loaded onto your own site.

The team doesn’t work on weekends.

Some of the gaps would be resolved via this CSS:

.td_block_big_grid {
  padding-bottom: 0px !important;
  }

.wpb_row {
  margin-bottom: 0px;
  }

Adjust px as desired.

The horizontal gaps are harder to remove because they’re part of the entire grid layout. I would recommend not bothering, but if you really have to, you could play with these values…

.td_block3 {
  margin-left: 20px;
  }

.td_block3 .span4 {
  margin-left: 0px !important;
  margin-right: 0px !important;
}

Use .home .td_block3 and .home .td_block3 .span4 if you only want these to affect the homepage.

TagDiv support can probably help you with the ads; I can’t.

If you want that space between the grid and the footer to be removed, don’t add padding on top of .td-footer-wrap! Use a negative margin for .td-grid-wrap. The extra space probably comes from .wpb_row .row-fluid in your image (used for blocks and modules and such), but adjusting that would adjust all the rows.

you just have to play with it to till ur happy with the results…you have to use all the codes i give you not just one..

Hi

I want to know if it is possible to change the Loading.gif (that appears when loading posts on blocks and mega menu) with a HTML code. I want to replace it with:

<div class="spinner">
  <div class="double-bounce1"></div>
  <div class="double-bounce2"></div>
</div>

It is basically a loading thing.

Please let me know if it is possible or not.

Thanks!

Hi,

Make sure you follow this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/ads/ and that you add it right.
Send me your site’s URL so I can inspect this if nothing works.

Hi,

Should work, please also make sure you have installed the VC plugin from plugins folder within the files that came with the theme files, like this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
Are you using child theme, make sure you try this using the main theme also make sure you have updated the theme right and you have uploaded all files.
You can also try to make a backup of your current installation and re-upload theme files via FTP.

Thanks

Hi,

If you need that widget to appear only in that category follow this steps:

First remove the code I provided before to add an widget using short-codes, this code adds this block from the bottom of the category page: http://screencast.com/t/TH9vXkb1
After this create a new sidebar like this: http://screencast.com/t/qDp0rEFACe
Then go to appearance > widgets and add the block widget you want to the newly created sidebar, like this: http://screencast.com/t/bBb3sqdpzIS
After you have done all this go to theme panel > categories to the category you want to add the sidebar at and select the new created sidebar for that category only, like this: http://screencast.com/t/kwyygatOZ
Should work fine after this: http://screencast.com/t/J24VaBjRS

Thanks

Well, you need to regenerate the thumbnails using the “regenerate thumbnails” plugin to make the new larger images to fit the slider. It will “from now on” make new images.

And, obviously, if you’re using a caching plugin of any kind, you need to turn OFF the caching before building new images so they are seen at new sizes.

As to other issues, you had the broken layout from the outset when I looked at it earlier; but at least your image is now filling the space.

Almost looks like you have been changing the spacing between columns or blocks.

But I’ll leave that for somebody from tech support to help you with.
