Hi i’m running ewpaper theme on litespeed server. And i have 6 flex blocks on the home page with ajax pagination activated. Clicking the “next” arrows results in the same in this case articles being shown, and not loading new ones. And the bottom three flex blocks, if i click the arrows it takes me directly to the top of the homepage. Devtools shows no errors in console or network. (afaik)

There are 6 categories like Österskär, Norrtälje, haninge etc.

You can try it on https://skargarden.se

Thanks

Niklas

Hello TagDiv Support,

I am using the Newspaper Theme (latest version) with TD Composer.

I am experiencing a template-level issue in the Single Post Template – Free News.

Issue Description:

A block titled “আরও দেখুন” (More Stories / Category tag list) is automatically appearing at the top of all single post pages.

This block:

• Appears in two different layouts across different posts
• Is not selectable inside TD Composer
• Clicking on it opens a sliding overlay panel instead of selecting a Row/Element
• Does not appear properly inside the Manager structure
• Cannot be removed from the template

What I Already Tried:

Disabled Articles Auto Loading

Checked Single Template Settings

Checked Category Template

Disabled Related Articles

Disabled More Articles Box

Cleared Cache (LiteSpeed)

Edited the template from Cloud Templates

Tried deleting the Row via Backend & Frontend editor

Still, the block persists.

Observation:

It seems like the block is injected dynamically (possibly via auto-loading, category module, or internal tdb_single_content hook).

When clicking the block, only the gear (⚙️) icon works, and the rest of the area is not selectable — which suggests a layer or JS overlay conflict.

Request:

Please clarify:

From which template hook or module is this block generated?

Is it part of tdb_single_content?

Is it controlled by a hidden “Tags” module?

How can I permanently remove it from the Single Post template?

This is affecting layout consistency and UX.

Hi,
I’m sorry, but I don’t understand what you’re trying to say!
If you have pages and you want to display some content on those pages, then it should be set using tagDiv Composer. To display articles on pages, you can set flex block elements and use the filter to filter the articles you’d like to be displayed on each block.
If this is not what you’d like to do, please provide a better explanation of what you want to achieve.

Hi,
Sorry, unfortunayelu it’s a bit hard to understand teh problem you are facing!

Pages and Categories are completely separate
Giving a Page and a Category the same name does NOT link them
– a Category archive automatically shows posts
– a Page will be blank unless:
– you manually add content, or
– you use a template / shortcode / block that queries posts

The primary category can be set as mentioned in this guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/primary-category/
If you want to change the default catgeory you can do it from Settings > Writing – https://prnt.sc/WwBhiCmnHZA5

Hi,

I’m trying to find the best way to create a gallery on a page.

At the moment, I’m using multiple ‘single image’ blocks, which works in creating a neat grid of gallery photos. Users should then be able to click a photo for a larger view, with the option to scroll left and right.

An example of this is available here: https://cloud.tagdiv.com/photo-gallery-spa-heaven/

Unfortunately, when I use or create a similar gallery, the images are not loading in a pop-up, despite ‘Modal image’ being checked in each single image.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

Hello again!

When I try to insert an image into an Image Info Box block, if I upload it from the media library and select it, it loads correctly. However, if I specify that I want it from a URL, enter the URL, and it detects the image, indicating that the path is correct, the block then fails to load it.
Note that the URL is a specific path on my server. I’ve ruled out permissions issues by trying full permissions on that particular directory for testing purposes, and it didn’t work.

Hi,
If you want the H1 on your homepage and you want it on a text, then you can use tagDiv Composer and use the element title, this hase the option for SEO title – https://i.imgur.com/CpxlvQx.png. Also, all blocks have this option https://i.imgur.com/mGwvJcE.png
Another element that can be used is Column title – https://i.imgur.com/1iOeJfr.png
Thank you!

Hi,
If those from your image are articles then you can use the flex block 1 element, hide all elements except the title and set a separator for the elements https://i.imgur.com/kPHWsIs.pnghttps://i.imgur.com/RhOBIoL.png
If is a list, then I think the best solution will be using a html/css code and set it in element raw HTML
Thank you!

Hi,
According to your screenshot, you have excluded two categories, so any article that contains one of those categories or subcategories will no longer be displayed on block 11.

Hello Team,

I am using your theme on my news website and facing a persistent issue with the homepage slider / Flex Block setup.

Problem description:

I am using Flex Block / Big Grid on the homepage.

I want the slider to be visible on desktop only, and hidden on mobile.

However, I am unable to find any clear or consistent option to:

Disable slider on mobile

Control Flex Block visibility per device

Even after turning Flex Block 1 OFF, there is no visible change, which makes it confusing to understand which container (Row / Column / Block) is actually controlling the output.

What I have already tried:

Turning Flex Block ON/OFF

Checking Row, Column, Layout, Style, Filter, and CSS tabs

Searching for “Hide on mobile”, “Responsive”, or “Device visibility” options

Clearing cache and hard refreshing
But the behavior remains the same.

My questions:

Which element actually controls the slider output — Row, Column, or Flex Block?

What is the recommended way to:

Show slider on desktop

Hide it completely on mobile

Is there a built-in responsive option, or should this be done via custom CSS?

If CSS is required, can you please share the correct class or selector used by the Flex Block / Big Grid slider?

I would really appreciate a step-by-step explanation, as this is a homepage critical section and affects both UX and PageSpeed performance.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Hi,
Which version of the theme were you using before updating?
After a theme update, it’s usually necessary to install or update some theme plugins, such as tagDiv Composer, tagDiv Cloud Library (for cloud templates), and tagDiv Standard Pack (for older templates and blocks).
If you’re using the newsletter plugin or the social counter, those plugins should be installed as well.
All theme plugins can be installed, updated, and activated from Newspaper → Plugins – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-how-to-update-a-plugin/

Hi,
Please select the block inside the column; you have selected only the column. You’ll see here the selected element/button – https://i.imgur.com/HRSGcy6.png should be like this – https://i.imgur.com/AJ40lXr.png

Hi,
What you can do is replace that block with a different one that uses a larger thumb. For example, if flex blocks are used yu can choose the thumb you want to use – https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/ https://i.imgur.com/dGfxXFS.png

Hi,
What else can be done is to use a plugin that checks what is consuming the most resources on the website and tries to optimize that section. block cache it or even remove it or replace it with something that is consuming fewer resources.

Hi,
Based on the block you’re using, this appears to be using a thumbnail. If I’m not mistaken, on the homepage you have Block 4, which includes Module 2, and that module is using a thumbnail sized 324×160 – https://i.imgur.com/neAhehd.png

Hi,
If that is a category/taxonomy template, then the approach is not correct, you should not set id’s for taxonomies, you should use the category filter and choose for a category -current category, or if is a taxonimy choose taxonomy -current taxonomy – https://i.imgur.com/YVLfGtf.pnghttps://i.imgur.com/uLP9N6Q.png https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/https://i.imgur.com/ZHFuG3A.png

Hi there,

I followed all the settings exactly as you suggested, but on the homepage I can still only reach around 59–60 points because of FCP and LCP. I’m not necessarily aiming for 100, but it would be great to get into the 70–80 range.
Site: https://ajovokezdete.hu/

I configured WP Rocket based on your guide:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/wp-rocket-and-newspaper-theme-optimization-guide/

I’m also using Bunny CDN, mostly WebP images, and I’ve disabled unnecessary plugin assets with Asset CleanUp Pro.

On the first (top) section of the homepage I’m using Modules Builder:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/modules-builder-newspaper-theme/

My questions:

In Flex Block Builder, is it recommended to enable “Cache block results”?

Under Filter → “Content preloading”, should this be set to “preload all” or “no preloading”?

And in general, what else would you recommend to improve the performance metrics and overall speed? I’ve tried quite a few things already without much success.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi,
I see what you mean. The original design is displayed because the page is not yet cached in the browser; once it’s cached, it should no longer be displayed. Also, what could be done is to load the css faster; for this, the css can be set in the head of the website. Also, this is the css adjusted, it will make the results for the news ticker to look like this https://prnt.sc/a3SGi5d8_TF5 :

@media (max-width: 767px) {
body .td-trending-now-display-area {
top: 2px;
}
body .td-trending-now-display-area .td_module_trending_now .entry-title {
line-height: 26px;
}
.td_block_trending_now {
padding: 0 6px 0 20px;
}
}

Set the css in the theme panel > analytics/js code in head section and make sure that you set it between css tags like this – https://prnt.sc/DHl1atBWUwVt

Hi,
I’m not sure that I understand what do you want to achieve, but if you publish/update the website only once per day and you want to have a cache on your flex blocks, then you can use this option – https://forum.tagdiv.com/use-flex-blocks-cache-option/
I hope this will help you!

Hi,
You can create a category template that will be used on most of the categories, this will be set as global https://prnt.sc/7RxaX0PI4tqQ then you create one extra template (or as many as you want) that will be assigned individually, for example – https://prnt.sc/YI7ui-Q-beyG
On flex blocks, just make sure that you select teh current category filter https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/ if you are using a posts loop element, this will automatically filter the results based on the template.
Thank you!
