Hi Calin,
Thank you so much for your help, I input the code you sent and the problem was fixed. I’m wondering if you might know which element on the homepage is over 714px? Is there a way for me to see or fix this sizing issue on my end?
I noticed that when I added more elements (spaces and Block 2) to the homepage, the side to side scrolling on mobile returned. I removed the spaces and extra block and the problem was once again fixed.
I love your theme and would like to be able to use it for the foreseeable future, but also need to know if it can display optimally on mobile.
Hey,
is it possible to block content after a certain amount of words has been read? I want my blog posts to look like this post on Medium where after a few paragraphs one cant read without registration / login.
https://medium.com/@christhaefner/how-to-access-and-use-metas-new-app-threads-in-europe-a1fa864d806c
Is there a way how I can implement this feature quickly using the tagdiv composer? I do NOT want to hide the whole content behind the registration wall.
Thanks!
Dimitri
If I delete those, what will happen to the pages & posts where those blocks are used? Is there a ways to easily see a list of all pages / posts that I are using certain blocks?
This article has to do with the sidebar, and it alludes to showing different articles from the same category. That’s a little different from what I’m trying to accomplish, though I know that duplicating the template (and editing one) is part of what is needed. I also need to know how to edit a template and change a post, page, etc from a current template to a new one. I cannot figure out how to do that from the article you provided.
I really need video recordings or something more substantial than these articles, as they just lead to additional questions. I’m sure it’s not that difficult, but the articles and responses are missing the specificity I need.
Incidentally, I removed the former fields with the TagDiv editor inside a post. I want a block type *with* those elements, and one without them.
HI,
What needs to be done is to modify this file – wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/includes/modules/td_module_related_posts.php on line 25 whet is the get_title replace the line code with this one – https://pastebin.com/cv0W58QM
This should change the H3 in H3 for related posts block.
Thank you!
Hi,
That option will display the last modified date on posts in blocks, for example if a post was publish on 13 and was been modified in 14, then the date that will be displayed will be the 14.
On articles can be used the single post template – https://i.imgur.com/Y4Wy9tp.jpg – https://i.imgur.com/LZ4ucOH.png
I hope this will help you!
So is there any way that I could change it into h4 for the related articles block?
Thank you!
Hi,
The theme offer for the blocks some filters and sorts that can be used so you can get the results you’ll need – https://i.imgur.com/Dp7hBBh.png – https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/ those are the only options available at the moment.
Thank you!
Hi,
According to the screenshots everything is correctly set in theme panel and composer, but on block on front I do not see that the font to be set – https://i.imgur.com/GdtbNb3.png do you use some cache plugin? If yes, please do a test whiteout it.
Let us know the results!
Thank you!
Hi,
Please edit the cloud template with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/j8YvKks.png click on the block and remove the offset -> https://i.imgur.com/dJ0iFQu.png let that field empty.
Thank you!
Hi,
I suggestion to delete all blocks 1 to 25, and replacing them with flex blocks; set the filter to “Category -Current category” => https://i.imgur.com/7P99qx0.png and this is why the block will display posts for each category. So, please check the settings.
Thank you!
Hi Teikey,
This is because the Newsmag theme has the H3 element fore each block on title.
The parent file for all modules is wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/common/wp_booster/td_module.php https://i.imgur.com/y00sjFn.png and the module for that block is this one – wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/includes/modules/td_module_related_posts.php (the title is call on this line – https://i.imgur.com/fLCbYwy.png).
Thank you!
Hi,
It looks that the there is an element on the homepage that is wither than 714px and that t is way is this problem on the homepage.
What I recommend is this custom css:
.home .tdi_11 .td_block_inner {
margin-left: 0px;
margin-right: 0px;
}
Please set the code in the theme panel > custom code> custom css.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please set this filter on the block -> https://i.imgur.com/LXmP8Qv.png you need to edit this page -> https://i.imgur.com/koCzJ1l.png
Thank you!
Hi,
I contacted you on your Support page (through another account) as I run this website for my client.
https://www.musicinstrumentnews.co.uk
I’m copying and pasting our conversation below for reference.
This is the conversation we had:
Hi, I helped build a website for my client a few years ago using this theme but it has not been updated since version 8.1.1. We are looking to update it to take advantage of the new Black Pro theme but we have noticed some potential issues that we need to understand before making any changes.
1. We can see that you have stopped supporting WP Bakery. Is it an easy transition to your new builder or will the site need extensive work to change it over?
2. We are also heavily using the AdvancedAds plugin and need to make sure this will also work on the theme. We use this within the Widgets section and with ShortCodes on the Pages. (Basically MPU & Banner ads)
3. Does the custom sidebars feature still work too? We have multiple sidebars on the site and need to keep those.
We are looking to purchase some extra Support from you to make the upgrade but we need to know if these issues are something you can help us with?
Would you be able to advise us on these issues please? Many thanks!
You replied:
Hi,
That is quite an old theme version. Updating is possible however.
1. We still provide WPBakery in the theme package. When we introduced our own composer we recommended switching to it if possible. It can still be used, but the features we added in the theme since then are for the composer specifically. In case you do not want to switch to the composer just yet, you can leave it active and there should be no problems after updating the theme. WPBakery should be updated as well, it is in the full theme package in this folder https://prnt.sc/jP4ve1qhkBUB
As a note, after updating the theme, for older websites it will be required to install and activate the standard pack plugin we added in update 10 https://prnt.sc/rpCKZAN8g2pO This plugin contains all the older blocks and templates used at the time.
2. The plugin should continue to work same as it does with the older version of the theme.
3. The widget sidebars aren’t affected by updating the theme. The only thing that may happen, if the theme is update through wordpress, is that the widgets from the sidebars may be moved in the inactive widgets section. They will retain their settings however, so all that is needed is to add them again in their sidebars.
We can help as well in case there are any issues with the update. You can contact us by email at contact@tagdiv.com and let us know. Provide in the email a link to the website, admin login, and a few details about the issues or any questions you have.
Regards, Simion C.
We need to do some core updates but in order to make sure this theme upgrade goes as smoothly as possible, would it be best to email you or message here some admin information for you so that you can let us know if there are any issues we need to be aware of before making any changes? Appreciate this is a leap in upgrade!
Many thanks!
It help a little, but I don’t understand how to actually DO that. Can you provide a recording? These are the areas where I need understanding and help:
– I don’t really understand the difference between a “post” template, and the “block” templates.
– I need to have different versions of each of these templates.
I need to understand how to modify these templates.
– There appear to be separate templates for mobile and desktop (both block templates and post / page templates.
I had everything the way it needed to be, but I wanted to adjust one template / content type without affecting others. I need help repairing this, and setting myself up for being able to edit templates and content types, independently, without compromising others.
Thanks,
Ken
No it wasnt other plugin.
All other plugins were deactivated and unistalled.
I repeat,
was your cache. Was not updating for 2-3 days the new articles.
When i was disabling it, everything was fine, the block was showing the new articles,
when i was enabling it, it was showing the old articles in the block only
Is there a way to show all post categories on flexblocks/predefined blocks?
In case when multiple categories are checked for post, it should show primary post category.
At the moment looks like it shows latest checked category from deepest subcategories in category tree.
It would be great to have multiple categories on blogs or at least solve primary category bug.
Thank you.
Hi Central, maybe you have this problem because there is another cache plugin and it is possible to not work correctly with the one from the flex blocks (usually cache plugins are cleared and you post or update a post, the cache from flex blocks is cleared after the time that is set on each block, therefore it is possible you have some delays in updating the correct cache).
Hi bduhamel, can you please provide some screenshots or a screen record with the problem? For me when I check your website looks fine – https://i.imgur.com/8YaY2EC.png
Thank you!
The problem is that the ::before rule is being applied to the entire margin of the post and not just to the h3 class as it normally does, as shown in the screenshot.
The problem is the (.td-post-content h3:before) part of the css:
.td-post-content h3:before {
content: '';
screen lock;
position: absolute;
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
top: -2px;
right: -2px;
border: 4px solid #eef6fb;
z-index: -1;
}`
I have disabled the (.td-post-content h3) for the id sub-03, it works but the problem is when the post appears, a strip is marked that it shouldn’t, it should only affect the id sub-03 .
This is the identification code sub-03:
#sub-03 {
relative position;
display: online block;
font-family: "Raleway-Regular";
font size: 24px;
color: #fff;
/* background-image: linear-gradient(right, #0076db, rgba(107,167,219,0.60));*/
background: #0076db;
padding: 8.5px 10px 8.5px 10px;
/* border: 0px solid #eef6fb;*/
transform: translateY(-50%);
box shadow: -5px 5px 2px rgba(0,0,0,0.25);
margin: 35px 0 20px 0;
}
Help me to have the correct css code so that it applies the ::before to the H3 class but what I show you does not happen.

Here is a screenshot after updating the theme and clearing the cache:
As you can see it has the same options, but we don’t see any ads on the front end.
At the same time if we install the old version of the composer plugin, the ad blocks are displayed on the front end.
I removed it with the TagDiv editor inside a post. I think I need to clone the block and rename it. I want a block type *with* those elements, and one without them.
Hi,
This is the code for the homepage and taxonomy template -> https://we.tl/t-c1SnS0ATY6; those templates are used modules; you can import them from the cloud -> https://i.imgur.com/hPt6XsQ.png -> https://i.imgur.com/zHaxY0x.jpg and assign them in the flex block builder and flex loop builder > https://forum.tagdiv.com/modules-builder-newspaper-theme/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-builder-flex-loop-builder/
I hope this will help you.
Thank you!
Hello,
For the category template, please use posts loop; if you have set a posts loop then will display all posts in this category or you can use Flex Block/Big Grid Flex and set the filter to “Category -Current category” => https://i.imgur.com/7P99qx0.png and this is why the block will display posts for each category. So, please check the settings.
Thank you!
Hi,
This depends on how well is your website optimized, for example this demo – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_pro/ was optimized by our developer and there are no problems with the INP – https://i.imgur.com/gAncpfD.png
Mark Gilbert, here is the section that you can improved – https://i.imgur.com/qYREfsD.png also if you can replace all standard elements and disable the tagDiv Standard pack then you’ll load low resources.
Also, you can use flex blocks and use cache on them – https://forum.tagdiv.com/use-flex-blocks-cache-option/
Another alternative is to try a different cache plugin, like WP Rocket and you can use the page template – https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
Archerix if the form is on mobile theme plugin, please try the smart list 2 and also, make a test with the mobile theme only for amp and try the page template – https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
Thank you!
