Thank you for the answer, unfortunately, because of the delay of your answer, I was forced to find an alternative solution, so I’ve recreated the post with a featured image and with the movie link moved inside the content block of the post, via a shortcode.
The initial problem was:
– Post set as video post
– Movie set from youtube
Result:
– The movie is playing ok on the desktop version
– The movie does not play on mobile

I have added Flex Block an my website left and right side and make them vertical.
Is there an easy way to make it vertical scrolling with the mouse.
I want to show for example 10 news, but the visual part must be 5 and when someone go with the mouse there and scroll more news must be showed (up to 10 or more).

That is very easy to do. You just have to edit the post template with the composer -> https://prnt.sc/dHGZPEbEkfSx and delete the ad boxes -> https://prnt.sc/WDsis4C5iKKy -> https://prnt.sc/Cq80jJM3Ulyp or set your own ads.
Or do the ads not appear in the composer? Please make sure you are not using an adblocker.

That is huge. Those seem to be transients from the theme, are you using the cache option for the blocks? – https://prnt.sc/XYn0HmoOEei7 The theme creates hose transients when that cache option for the blocks is used. But normally the transients expire and are deleted automatically, and new ones are created. Maybe something is preventing them from being deleted and they keep pilling up.
I see you are using litespeed. I suggest clearing the transients immediately https://prnt.sc/iF9V5OMErmtY There should be a setting in the database section of the litespeed plugin.
Then I suggest disabling the cache option from he theme for all the blocks where you activated it, to stop generating new ones and repeat the problem again.

Regarding the categories, please make sure that the blocks from the category template are using the correct filter https://prnt.sc/5rB_Q77obejU or else they will display the same posts. Please edit the category template with the composer and check the blocks.

That’s a setting for the row https://prnt.sc/-TcHBuUCzGoK for mobile. So for example if you set a background video for the row on desktop, and on mobile you want a different video, or an image instead of the video, then that option can be used.
The section you have in the homepage now at the top is a row with a background image, containing a block which displays 1 post. Which is fine if that is what you want. Let me know if you need help customizing it.

Maybe the block and the post loop from the category template aren’t configured correctly.
The block at the top seems to display the same posts regardless of what category I check. Please make sure the block is using the correct filter in the composer https://prnt.sc/rk4HPzG_1SJm
Not sure about the post loop below the block however. If you add a new post loop does it display posts?

That’s a very old theme version. However, even if you update the theme the website should look the same.
It is important that you install the standard pack plugin after you update https://prnt.sc/AjDfjpCqFbq_ This plugin we added in Newspaper 10 contains all the old blocks and templates, which are separate from the main theme now. There is an article about it here https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-update-standard-pack-or-tagdiv-cloud-templates/
Be sure to also clear the cache, or the optimized resources, or cloudflare if you use it, after updating the theme.
If you use a child theme I suggest deactivating it after updating, as it could cause problems.
And maybe it would be best to try updating on a staging/testing clone of the website first, if possible. If you have a staging already, I could take a look there as well, you can send the access details and link to contact@tagdiv.com

Maybe the block has an offset https://forum.tagdiv.com/offset-feature/ The offset makes the block skip a number of posts.
Or maybe the unique articles option is active for the page https://forum.tagdiv.com/unique-articles/ If those posts are already displayed elsewhere in the page, the unique articles option will not allow them to be displayed again.
Or maybe the block has additional filtering set. The quickest way to test is to add a new block and filter by that category. If the posts are displayed then the problem is with the original block.

I’ve created a new category called Latest, 2 new posts linked to that category.
On home page I have a Flex Block 2, I filter by category Latest I get no posts showing.
I filter by all categories or single category on post is showing.
Can someone direct me to an answer?

That could happen sometimes, usually it’s caused by security plugins or firewalls which block the theme from saving. Could also be security settings from the hosting. I will take a look at it, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website and admin login. I will check as soon as possible. Even if I may not be able to solve the problem, at least I will try to find what is causing it.

Resolved, the flex block 3 was added in the header.
I have asked for TagDiv support for help with an issue with the header logo image on the Front Page of my Newspaper themed website, https://www.thethinkingconservative.com/. TagDiv’s support person, Bettina, did something to make the logo fit in a larger space on my Front Page which I wanted done, but did not explain how she did it although I asked. There is an issue with what she did however, the larger header logo shows up larger in the Brave browser, but not in the Chrome browser.
I have no idea what Bettina did and a different support person did not know either and told me to upload a larger image in the TagDiv editor for the Front Page. When I attempted to upload a larger logo image like your support recommended, it literally broke the Front Page of my website and now it won’t open in TagDiv Composer no matter how long I wait, so I can no longer edit the Front Page in TagDiv Composer and the Front Page is no longer showing correctly on the website. The header area, menu etc. is missing from the entire website.

I have checked and everything is correct with the templates, menus etc. and it is not a plugin issue, but because I can’t open the homepage to edit it there is nothing I can do. I deleted the larger image I had uploaded from the library, but the image didn’t show up in uploads in File Manager in cPanel which I thought was strange.
I do not want to upload a new Front Page template as it took so much work to get the Front Page correct and I can’t just upload the header template because I can’t open the Front Page with the TagDiv editor.
Please look at the Front Page of the website and you will see the issues.

I’ve created a flex box 3, and place it at the top of the page. When clicking on one of the posts, it takes me to the post but the flex box it stays at the top.
Was not expecting this behaviour as the flex box is added only on the front page.

The things that can change the order of the posts displayed by a block are the offset feature https://forum.tagdiv.com/offset-feature/ and the unique articles https://forum.tagdiv.com/unique-articles/
If these are not used however, then its very unusual. I will take a closer look at it, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website and admin login. Also please provide an example of the issue.

That’s a bit unusual, because we use cloudflare for almost all our websites and demos, and there are a lot of theme users that use it as well.
Are you using any custom rules in cloudflare perhaps? Or you could try to create a rule to not block the theme ajax requests used for pagination.
Something like this:

I suggest checking the rules first, you can pause them and check again. By default cloudflare should not cause such problems.

Hello TagDiv Support,
After enabling CSP on my site, the browser shows this error:
Content Security Policy blocks the use of ‘eval’ in JavaScript.
It looks like td-composer or some Newspaper JS files are still using eval() or new Function(). To make the site work, I would need to add ‘unsafe-eval’ in the CSP header, but this is not secure.
Can you please confirm if there is an update or patch that removes the dependency on eval() in the Newspaper theme / tagDiv Composer plugin?
I am currently using:
• Newspaper theme version: [insert version]
• tagDiv Composer version: [insert version]
I would like to know if there is a safer solution than enabling ‘unsafe-eval’ in CSP.

When using Flex Block Builder showing lastest posts shows the second and third latest as the first ones and then the actual latest posts is shown as the third latest.
Sort order is set to “Lastest”, and I use “time ago” setting.
But instead of this:
- Lastest
- Second lastest
- Third latest
- .. the rest
It does this:
- Second lastest
- Third latest
- Lastest
- .. the rest
I have no idea why, and I can’t fix it.
I would have thought this is the simplest thing to do but no. I create an inner row with 50:50 two columns. I set a gap of 50. I set a border on all four sides of each of the two columns. I add inline content. i set column padding so content is spaced nicely. BUT. There is no gap, The columns smash into each other. they do not behave when i resize the screen. Its a nightmare. I will use an html block with my own grid code. Much quicker. Oh but hey, i then dont need tagdiv 🙁

From what I see something is blocking the request the pagination makes to load more posts https://prnt.sc/DMbGib33aHhX Maybe its the total cache, does it work if you clear the cache and check again? Or after you deactivate the plugin. If it does, it could be a setting from the total cache that causes the issue. But if the issue remains, then the cause is something else. Try deactivating all non-theme plugins temporarily and check again.

If you mean this setting https://prnt.sc/Y3YoO7nmX7SB please note that this won’t apply to pages built with the composer. In the composer you can use the option on the rows https://prnt.sc/Q9znwAaSVIJ8 and stretch them as needed.
That option from the theme panel is meant for pages built with the wordpress editors, the classic editor or the block editor. We added it because some of the theme demos are wider, and if the website where a demo is installed already had pages built with wordpress, instead of recreating them with the composer and making them wider, that option will make them all at once.
So for a page like your homepage, you must edit it with the composer, click on the rows and stretch them to 1200px, it takes very little time.

Hi, I have spent hours debugging. If I copy paste the short code for the webpage into another new page in the same site, it renders with the same problem. I have a multi site installation. If I select another site and do the same, the page is absolutely fine. It therefore appears to be something about the original site that is wrong, especially since past backups have the same problem. That problem, which I can define better, is that none of the rows are stretching as specified, they all show as a 1200 or 1400px block. Additionally, i have a background image as a hero section which has negative top margin to push the image under the header section. This has been working for weeks. But now the row does not move up, instead the image inside the row moves up. Another row with background image also demonstrates clearly that the row is not stretching. Something with the theme and this site seems to be affecting the design. I tried removing custom CSS and JS in theme panel, makes no difference. Same with the backups, its got to be the theme or theme settings but i looked over all the obvious things. Hope you are able to find something and happy to give you access.

I tried history going far back and they are all the same. Its like nothing to do with my design. I rebooted just in case, no difference. Really crazy help!!!
