Hi Calin,

sorry, maybe my explanation was not good enough 🙂

I dont want to exclude posts from specific categories. I want to hide the graphical tags from specific categories.

Example given: we have a post with category “Love” AND category “no-ads”. The category “no-ads” is used internally to hide ads from posts with this category.

In the old newspaper version there was a the “hide category on post and category pages” feature, for handling such internal-organization-categories. Now it is gone.

Is there still a possibility to hide a category (not the posts, only the graphical tags of the category) from archives, blocks, breadcrumbs etc.?

It’s not about filtering posts, it’s really only the graphical representation of categories (in the breadcrumbs, in the tag boxes etc.). Just to hide it with CSS makes no sense, because then the categorie tag box in some block elements is empty (instead of holding the real main Category – in our example “Love”).

Thank you!

Hi,

Sorry, was my mistake, I understand something else.
If you want to edit the posts/categories that you want to be display in block you can do this using the filter tab from tagdiv Composer, and set the “-” before the category id or post id that you want to be removed. You can check more about this in our guide from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/

Thank you!

Hi Golam Rabby,

That website is using this demo ->https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_blog_fitness/ but has more changes made on it.
You can achieve that layout using tagDiv Composer, but for this you’ll need to lear how this is working and what you can do with it, the most easy and fats way is to install a demo, you can see here all demos that are available -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/select_demo/select_demo_newspaper/?utm_source=live_preview&utm_medium=click&utm_campaign=demos&utm_content=demos_button#demos
Also if you do not what to install demo you can import cloud templates and pages and blocks from tagDiv Cloud library after that you can edit theme using tagDiv Composer.
Let me know with what I can help you!

Hi Dillip Guru,

Please check if you do not have some firewall or security module which blocks admin-ajax request, also please ask your host about this.
Please make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.

let me know the results!

Hi muterobert, sorry, unfortunately, there is no list of these classes.
But if you ant to have more control over the blocks layout you can use flex blocks, these have a lot of options that can be use to edit the layout with tagDiv Composer.
Thank you for your undersatdning!

Hi,

Is look that you must add some custom css too if you have set a background color -> https://i.imgur.com/03S18Kg.jpg
.td_flex_block_1 .td-element-style, .td_flex_block_1 .td-module-container {
border-radius: 20px!important;
}

This code need to be set in theme panel> custom code> custom css. The code will apply for all flex blocks 1.

Hope this will help you!
Thanks.

Hi loslunesseriefilos,

I think that this is a miss understanding! The above custom css is custom, not because the blocks (“templates”) are not working and because this options is not set on all of them. The elements form our theme do not has the same settings, those differ for element to element, indeed there are tabs with general settings like the css tab -> https://i.imgur.com/y57Uhrq.png (this is the same for all elements).
If this is not what you mean, let me know!

Thank you!

Hi Oswald, our theme is using thumbs , therefore the the images that you’ll upload will be cop to fit well.
Also you can chose if you are using flex blocks the size of image that you want to be display, for this you need to use tagDiv Composer too -> https://i.imgur.com/32TfZtz.png choose the one that is look the best for your needs.
Hope this will help you!

Hi Calin,

I am not talking about the “featured” category – I am missing the feature to hide specific categories from posts and category pages (in blocks etc.) site-wide.

Is this still possible?

Thank you!

Hi andxtagdiv, if you like the flex block 2 from GOSSIP demo homepage, you can import that page from cloud template and you can edit it as you want or you can use the right click to save the Flex block 2 layout and use it where you like -> https://i.imgur.com/78TkEOq.png ->https://i.imgur.com/27x5Bod.png and you can edit it or you can use the right click on the elements that you want to save -> https://i.imgur.com/78TkEOq.png also if you want you can import block using this option -> https://i.imgur.com/tyFYelQ.png -> https://i.imgur.com/tyFYelQ.png
Also if you want to set here screenshots you need to store them on some platform and set here the link to it.
Hope this will help you!
Thanks.

Is it possible to find a list of CSS classes for individual blocks so that it’s easier to use the CSS editor to make modifications that aren’t exposed in the block’s typical settings? I know that I can use Inspect in the browser to try to find classes, but searching through the code that was definitely complicates the process.

I’m using Video news template
There is a massive white block, I can’t remove. Click on it using tagdiv
class=”td-main-content-wrap td-main-page-wrap td-container-wrap

Just below the header, and just above the content.

Here:
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_gossip_pro/2019/12/30/td-post-striking-photos-of-gorgeous-women-from-all-around-the-world/

the date/author column is gracefully moving down as block on small devices.

But, when I add another element to those date/author elements, this new element also gets shown on desktop sizes.

Since it is impossible to search your documentation in a meaningful way:

a search on:
https://tagdiv.com/category/documentation/

for: responsive

results in:
https://tagdiv.com/?s=responsive

I ask you to please give the link to the KB article that explains this – as I am sure that you have written such an article.

Hello !

Those are the ajax categories, you can activate them by editing the block using tagDiv composer: https://www.screencast.com/t/UgilexEv ; https://www.screencast.com/t/cJdnIJbWC8b

Thank you !

Vlad S

Hello !

That can be achieved by setting the filters in the blocks as you can see here: https://i.imgur.com/9VNsuCY.png

Hello

On our site we used Imagify plugin and acivated the Webp option with use of <picture> tag option (cause the rewrite with Htaccess don’t work).

But now on Chrome the principal image don’t appear and when I click on pictures in the article instead of open in a popin they open in a new browser.
A JS missing?
For example https://www.virtualmagie.com/articles/autres/trucs-du-metier/tutoriel-fabriquer-un-tapis-de-close-up-multi-fonctions/

Here the answer of a Imagify dev:

Regarding your first question, yes, I think there may be some issue with JS. If I change the following CSS rule:
body .td-backstretch { opacity: 1; }

Then also remove this one:
(applied inline to <picture> element: element.style { translate3d(-50%, -16px, 0px) scale(1.05, 1.05) }

I can see the principal image:
xx

The JS may be looking for elements when instead of <picture> tags?
I would contact the theme or plugin developer to see if they have any solutions to allow use of <picture> elements.

Hi,

I want to know how to overpass this code ?

.tdi_72_4fd .td-block-title>span {
background: linear-gradient(156deg,#ffb056 30%,#b97055 80%) !important;
}

I want to change it to .tdi_72_4fd .td-block-title>span {
background: linear-gradient(156deg,#ffb056 50%,#b97055 100%) !important;
}

But it doesn’t work when I add it in my Child Theme style.css

“Articles Récents title” https://lowtechnation.com

Thank you

Hello !

Indeed, there seems that only the Flex Blocks can use the play button. Flex blocks are able to have active play button where Big Grid Flex don’t.

I have passed this to our developers to see a resolution from them too.

Thank you !

Hi andxtagdiv, the unique articles option is available only on pages. For example if you are using a single post template from tagDiv Cloud library and you edit it with tagDiv Composer, you’ll see that these blocks that are inside the article are using some filters -> https://i.imgur.com/G7pXL2x.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/8QICpzQ.png now the thing is that more blocks you have more set, there are more changes to be display a duplicate post, a solution will be to display posts from different categories.
Thank you!
