Hello, Previously My structured data review stars in your post options were showing on google but now appear to have all disappeared in google searches whereas my competitors are still there so it doesn’t appear to be something google has done. I have done some optimisations and updated the newspaper theme during that time but I don’t think that should have affected it. Please can you take a look and see whether you can figure out whether something is blocking it and how I can fix it. thanks

Regurlarly (it occured 2 times today, 1 time yesterday and 1 time last week-end) all my theme options are erased (theme fonts, theme colors, logo URL, Ads options, analytics code, categories options, thumbnail, post settings, block settings, licence code, etc.)
So I have to reset them in the theme panel.
Where this problem could come from ???

Hello. I realize that you can change the color of an entire text block, particularly in a blog post. But is it possible to change the color of one or two words within a text block easily? without having to go into the HTML coding to accomplish it?

Only Homepage looks really good, because I use tagDiv Composer.
I tried everything. I thing, it is not plugins conflict – I have active plugins: Yoast SEO, Classic Editor, tagDiv Composer, Regenerate Thumbnails. I have enabled the following option for Retina images from Theme panel -> BLOCK SETTINGS -> Thumbs on Modules/Blocks, and used regenerate plugin without any luckwithout any luck.

Indeed, the theme will create I believe a total of 19 thumbnail sizes and WordPress will generate 3 sizes. The theme will use these thumbnails in blocks, grids and other modules

For each thumbnail size it will be specified where it is used, for example

So depending on what elements you do not use, disable the thumbnail sizes accordingly.
After you disable sizes, from then on they will not be generated anymore. Previously created thumbnails will remain, unless maybe you use the force regenerate plugin

By default pages cannot have tags and categories, only post can. The theme blocks can display posts and pages, but only the posts can be filtered by categories and tags, the theme will not recognize the categories set for pages even if these are added by various means.

You could enter specific page IDs in the ID filter to show specific pages. Pages can have featured images and these will be displayed in the theme modules.

Yes I deletes, but that’s not right now, it doesn’t make sense to create a category specifies “featured” and put posts on it to display the latest posts in mobile home.
It would be more simple we can create a custom block to put on the home so as we have in desktop.
You should give the option, or consider creating the category featured and put it as superior to another category, where she picks up the posts.

That’s a big mistake in a so-called Big Update if this is true. They hyped the update to feature autoload and no option, no official guide for it. Wow!
I noticed that tagdiv only focused on increasing customers and theme look/design. Instead of doing that if they focus on theme users and visitors basic need and engagement, that will be great. Obviously, the theme needs look and design but tagdiv themes are becoming bulky with so many unnecessary options without simple/useful features.
1. Last Updated option for single post
2. Total Share count in single post
3. The views count displays in numerical format only. It should be like 10K, not 10000.
4. Main menu background gradient color. (Currently, they provided custom code, but not officially implemented)
5. Which posts are mostly viewed or trending (indicates a flash/AMP like icon) feature missing. So, the visitors can engage with trending posts automatically.
6. Alert Message box in the post/page content (Tips/Info/Warning/Success) missing
7. The text highlight feature doesn’t cover the full border area like a separate paragraph. Which looks ugly and not justified aligned as well.
8. No Pros and Cons section for reviews. You have to manually set a good/bad column. That’s poor.
9. No product price, where to buy link, shop link, shop logo icon for the review section. These points should be added in a box format.
10. Enable post-split option in the text editor with different styles in an easy way. The current option is slightly messy.
11. Add truncated mobile or tablet article option with ‘continue reading’ tag to load faster and engage more visitors.
12. Make your social share option for single post more lightning fast. Sometimes it takes time to load even after full article load.
13. Kindly add default ‘Inline Related Posts’ option with nav bar (2 posts at least)
As a user or a well-wisher, these mentioned points are really useful for all. Even after having 70k+ customers, the tagdiv team not focusing on actual need. We don’t need hundreds of templates, libraries if they don’t come in handy.
For more details, If I failed to explain properly, check the JNews Theme for once. I’m using the theme for another site. It’s extremely fast to load in any device. It has Fewer features in terms of the Tagdiv themes but very accurate with the important things. Then you guys can only understand what’s missing actually. Take your time and improve your theme. There is no hurry. But don’t do these things in the name of a big update.
One way of doing it is like this, first an empty row with a background image set and some padding (set the padding values as you want)

In that second row I recommend to use a flex block which has more settings, and a similar design like the demo can be achieved with it

You can customize the flex block in many ways further, it has many options. In the demo block 5 is used with additional CSS, but the same can be resulted with a flex block.

Hi. To what extent can the child-theme be used? … I try to create custom blocks through td_config.php, custom functions through td_module.php in the child-theme and none of this has any effect. Always look in the parent-theme. Any ideas on this? Any ideas on how to create the styles so that in the td_composer mode, playing something from the iframe.css (in the rd composer plugin), you see the blocks live something similar to how it will look in the final edition? I do not ask to Newspaper to be like Porto or Flatsome but some templates for it will be welcome. Do not forget that not all Newspaper build a website for the glory, they want also make money. It’s a little annoying to add a lot of “add_action” and “add_filter” into the functions.php just for some Woocommerce customisation.
Newspaper is real good theme, I like the Demos, his stability, but in one year I do not notice a significative evolution of his functionalities.

-A non interactive Reviews system (readers can’t write their own reviews).
-A outdated Ad system.
-No Social Media Auto Publish.
-A complicated way to add Custom Posts.
-No dissociation between Custom Posts and Taxonomies.
-No Featured Image thumbnail in the POST list.
-No Smart Thumbnail Generator (choose the point of interest of the image).
Ok we can do all that with external plugins, but as you know more external plugins you have, more bugs you get. All this functions build by the Theme builder will work better than external ones.
Your builder is great but we do not build a new PAGE everyday, but POSTS !
