Hi,
I’d like links in posts to be blue, however when I change this in the theme settings it changes the color of the Block Header 1 too. I’d like BH1 to be black. How can I achieve this?
Thanks,
Matt

Hello,
The block ajax filters do not have custom url possibilities as they will show the content of those specific categories in the block itself. They are meant for showing posts, not as a “menu” that links to those spcific subcategories.
Thank you!
Hello Tagdiv team. What do you think of this feature based on this comment in relation to the Newspaper Theme? https://wptavern.com/gutenberg-3-3-released-adds-archives-and-recent-comments-blocks#comment-253257
I have activated AMP plugin and test to verify adding /amp at the end of the post url. It shows a 404 error.
URL: http://newsflash.in
Further, I tested it https://search.google.com/test/amp
It shows, “Page cannot be reached. This could be because the page is unavailable or blocked by robots.txt”
I have this header

There’s a block to the right of the banner logo that used to work. It used to be a text block for TEXT LOGO but now the block doesn’t exist. How can I restore that?
I recall seeing an editor that gave me a graphical view of the block layout for a td template but I can’t find it now. I believe that’s how I disabled that block.
When I try to place an instagram ID, the block does not work. How should I refer to my instagram ID?
My instagram is @dparranda. My user’s url is https://www.instagram.com/dparranda/. I guess my instagram ID is dparranda.
What am I doing wrong?
I would like to add square, large images in the form of blocks. I’m using Visual Composer. I see that you have a Module 13 in your demo. How can I use that? None of the blocks seem to let me use square, or almost square photos in thumbnails. Basically I want it to not crop it on center, but show the image fully as a thumbnail (reduced size).
Hi,
I’ve imported the demo default site but for some reason the first block of the page is visible in edition mode but not when I access the homepage after having saved my changes (please see both captures : https://ibb.co/cCOhJd and https://ibb.co/gQTtPJ).
As the site is under construction, please tell me if I can share with you my admin credentials here in order for you to see the issue.
Best,
Deborah

Hello,
I do not have a great experience of WordPress. I bought Newspaper because I love the “Old Fashioned” theme and would like to use it as a basis for my blog.
The problem is that I can’t understand how to customize the block that is under the “featured article” (I mean the one where there are the titles “US SOIL” and “AROUND THE WORLD”: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_old_fashioned/).
I can’t find them on the widget page (I thought they were lists by categories, but “us soil” and “around the world” aren’t categories or tags).
Please could you tell me in which section of the menu I can edit this block without having to edit directly the css? Thanks in advance for the help.
Glad it worked. If you would have mentioned you wanted the login as well, it would have been helpful. To display the login as well it would be like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/EX7D1QEU
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-sp-top-menu,
.td-header-top-menu-full,
.top-header-menu.td_ul_login {
display: inline-block!important;
}
.td-social-icon-wrap,
.td_data_time,
.menu-top-container li:not(.wpmenucartli){
display:none;
}}
Delete the previous one and enter this one, it should work.
There is a general code you can try
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-sp-top-menu,
.td-header-top-menu-full {
display: block!important;
text-align:center;
}
.td-social-icon-wrap{
display:none;
}}
In this form it will make the whole top menu visible on phones, the socials will remain hidden. If you want to make only the language switcher visible it will require modifications.
I see you decided to place it in the top menu, with the multi-purpose style.
So on mobile you want to replace the logo with the tagline. You could try something like this maybe
– https://www.screencast.com/t/lPiiLl6ty
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-top-menu-full {
display: block!important;
text-align:center;
}
.td-social-icon-wrap,
.td-mobile-logo img{
display:none;
}
div.td-header-sp-info {
margin-left:0;
position:absolute;
left:0;
top:10px;
}}
Hi,
Other than excluding it manually in the block there would be no other way to not display it in a block.
That will require you to edit the page and place the post ID in the post filter
– https://www.screencast.com/t/bOP0Wm9U1Qp
Thanks
Try this modified one instead – https://www.screencast.com/t/RqZOmNBwSx
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-sp-top-menu,
.td-header-top-menu-full {
display: block!important;
text-align:center;
}
.td-social-icon-wrap,
.td_data_time,
.td_ul_login,
.top-header-menu li:not(.wpmenucartli){
display:none;
}}
Hi,
I believe you are referring to the category drop-down in blocks
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Rbm2ew1t
There are font settings for that in the theme panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/prUj9iHIG
Please correct me if I misunderstand.
Thanks
Also be aware AMP now requires https, so unless your site is fully https SSL/TLS compatible, AMP serves no purpose. So you need to use the ‘https’ URL for testing properly.
Further, you need to have pages loading properly, and without errors:
(so test your pages with ads turned OFF to ensure not causing https fails)
Mixed Content: The page at '<URL>' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image '<URL>'. This content should also be served over HTTPS.

Hi guys,
We are playing around with tagDiv composer for our site redesign and it is amazing. We are still learning new things everyday as we explore new ideas. The ability to be able to control how the site appears on each screen size at a granular level is brilliant.
Also really pleased with the new cloud template function. It addresses my biggest bugbear with Newspaper – the ability to adjust the overall width of the columns – but it’s allowing us to create some genuinely unique page designs rather than seeing different sites that look exactly the same as ours.
Couple of requests for future updates. Some may already have been mentioned, some may be bugs, some may not currently be on your radar, but hopefully it helps:
– can’t choose a sidebar from the main post composition screen if using a cloud template. We would like to be able to run sidebars that are customised for different article categories, but that’s not currently possible. We could create several near-identical page templates, each with a different sidebar, to address this but it seems clunky when everything else is so sleek.
– paginated articles don’t work. It doesn’t seem to recognise page breaks. We may be missing something but we really can’t get it to work.
– TD composer doesn’t have accordion/tab functionality. We’re currently scratching our heads to work out how we will replicate or replace this, as we currently run a lengthy glossary that uses an accordion to hide and display all the descriptions, and we can’t do this with TD composer.
– following on from the above, it would be great to have the ability to load anything into a row that only displays a certain height and then has a ‘load more’ pagination function, like the blocks do for posts. For example, we are using the testimonial features in quite a different way, but there will be potentially loads of them on a page so it would be good to only show a few with the rest hidden behind a ‘load more’ button. See here:http://compareallvans.co.uk/reviews/ford-fiesta-active-2018/
– we have been trialling closing off comments after X days. Using cloud templates, this causes a “Comments are closed” message to pop up at the top of the page under the menu. See here:
http://compareallvans.co.uk/used-car-warranty-consumer-rights/
This doesn’t happen with the traditional Newspaper templates, which display the message in the correct place after the last comment.
– We’re currently having trouble with smart sidebars using inner rows, but this is probably our own fault rather than a bug.
– Newspaper (and Newsmag) lack behind other themes when it comes to presenting reviews. Given how slick the rest of the features are, this is something we’d really like to see developed in future editions. We’re also currently looking at plugins for incorporating user ratings, but not sure whether they’ll play happily with TD composer.
Thanks guys, and we’re really enjoying building a new site with Newspaper 8.8!

Hi,
A random sorting using all categories for example, will display posts randomly, so it would not matter when the post was published.
Setting an offset of 1 in a block sorted by random would skip the fist post, whatever that may be, in no relation to it being the latest published post.
You can exclude categories, you can also exclude individual posts if needed. Or you can choose from which category/categories the posts will be picked. Those would be enough options to control the posts a block dispalys

Thanks
Hi there,
Is there any way to hide some of my block(s) on my home page from visitors but only members can see?
Thank you.
Hi,
The top menu is not displayed on mobile, it never was intended to display there.
However it could be made to appear with a code, if this is required. Something like this would work, you could try it
– https://www.screencast.com/t/CABlPOFxL
This is the code for it if you want to use it
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-sp-top-menu,
.td-header-top-menu-full {
display: block!important;
text-align:center;
}
.td-social-icon-wrap{
display:none;
}}
Thanks
Hi,
@breakofdawn Indeed, it seems the same posts are loaded each time the pagination is used.
Did you enable the unique articles setting? – https://www.screencast.com/t/TWEmif22vR
Is the issue happening if you create a new page and use the same block with the same settings? What if you try to use a different block with different settings?
Let me know what you find.
Thanks
Well, what I’m wondering is can I keep the latest posts from appearing in the trending and random post blocks?
