Yes, as I said — it’s random. When FB gets overloaded with too many “capture transactions” — their capture basically times out.
Super annoying, but not much anybody can do about it.
At least they know about the issue and FINALLY couple months back added the “refresh attachment” option. Even with this in the early a.m. on weekdays, I have to come back in 40 min and retry as the first couple retries still don’t work — either missing photo, or just a link to the sitename in the box with no headline/excerpt capture.
This is why @centennia can do it now, but then a day later it doesn’t work.
One note; once “anybody” has captured it, it will tend to work thereafter as it’s been cached/captured. So, future shares from other folk usually work once you have a single good capture from “anybody.”
Using shortcodes can also exacerbate this issue, as on our main site we use our own shortcodes for social click-through tracking.
I find Zencache plugin works better with the theme and CF,that’s why i choose it over all the rest so called cache plugins…
Hello, I created several pages on theme. One is the home, while the rest are single page with defined themes. The problem is that I’m using WP Super Cache and when I publish something, the pages are not updated, or the principal or the other.
For example, published an article about comics, and this does not feature on the homepage or in the comics section or in the comics category.

Any solution? Because I can not be updating the pages individually each time I post something… What I would like is that each time you post an entry, the blocks in which they would have to show that entry is updated, it was like working in the above template.
Works for me. Great support from TagDiv for 2 years now for my needs.
They are closed weekends, but will be back Monday.
Perhaps try reviewing the install and setup documentation at right.
Do common sense things like turning off caches, clearing them, reset CDN, turn off all plugins prior to install, then only activate Visual Composer, then the theme. Regenerate thumbnails per the documentation, etc.

Make sure you have the WordPress updated at the last version (4.2.2) also try to clear the cache, deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer and try again. You can also check permissions https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions

Please check documentation(Requirements for Newspaper) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ and this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/pagespeed-guide/ We recommend now Wp-Super Cache instead of W3 Total Cache, it seems to be faster and we will change this also in the documentation. Also Christopher topic helps – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-pagespeed-2015/
Deactivate all the plugins that you don’t need, also check this solution – http://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/website/wordpress/disabling-the-wp-cronphp-in-wordpress and see if you still have issues.

Ok Alin, I understood it now. But may I request your support on this to make the site as fast as the demo site?
One of the core reason using Newspaper framework is to boost the speed of our WP news site on desktop and mobile. May I ask for your private support to aid in configuring td-speed booster plugin as explained? We want to use the champions league background image hence we have the background manager plugin installed because the one that came with Newspaper when activate “stretch” makes the bg image blurred. We are yet to install WP Super cache as recommend. I don’t know the reason why you don’t use w3total cache plugin but its ok so far it makes the site faster.

We also have disabled the CDN service, doing a cache purge files. But nothing. Visual Composer installation we made as your guide.

Unfortunately we did not tested this plugin with our theme, so I cannot make any suggestions about this, you may need custom modifications to implement the plugin. Anyway you can disable all plugins, leave only Visual Composer and APS products active, clear cache and check if you still have this issue, maybe it is in a conflict with another plugin.

Ajax view use javascript so in case that you have some javascript errors it may affect view counter. Please check this without any plugins active, leave just Visual Composer active, clear cache and open an articles and refresh it for few times and check if the view count works – http://screencast.com/t/gJ9uEsRYoIj
Regarding the cache plugin we recommend WP Super Cache, we use it also on our demo and we suggest to be used by default(settings).

You can use the tagDiv Speed Booster plugin to move the css and js at the bottom of the page, but please note that it is tested only with these plugins – http://screencast.com/t/hcjLnOqh4i2 and if you use other plugins it will be automatically disabled. A lot of people install the plugin without knowing what it does and after that they add many plugins and some of the them are not written fine so the developer took this decision. Please check documentation if you want to use it – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Also for cache we recommend WP Super Cache and we suggest to be used by default(default settings).

Hello friends,
I’m using Newspaper just 20 days. My site has been around for several years and I made the exchange for this fabulous theme. In the early days worked in reasonable condition with all optimizations taught in documentation and forum, but strangely suddenly began to consume all of my VPS resources(CPU 3/ 4G RAM/ Opcache/ Varnish/ W3 cache), causing overload. After much trouble I discovered that the problem was the Visual Composer plugin. Strangely, just the VC be enabled with any theme or even the WP and be in maintenance mode, which still is in the server overloaded state instantly, causing internal server error 500 and leading to think that it is a conflict which neither I, nor the server team could find out.
Well, I did numerous searches in the forum and follow all the tips provided to other users with the same problem, but the only salvation with good results was the SHIM beta which I take me long to figure out just. After seeing the server normalize and vibrate with the SHIM, a new bad surprise: the Tabs feature of Visual Composer plugin was broken on my site.
I would love to guidance to rehabilitate the tabs function through the SHIM. This would be a wonderful help, even with the problem of having to return to the VC and face all that slow in cases of necessary future customizations.
I believe strongly in the powerful help of the staff Tag Div.

The color system should be the same on both version desktop and mobile. Try to clear all caches, purge cdn files if you’re using, and test the site again. If the problem persist please provide a link so i can inspect it closer.

There are not working. The counter stops and shows an example of 8 hits. Google Statistics show more, much more. Bad display on the update subject. Maybe it’s the plug wp-cache? What is the best to use to plug the cash side?

Not sure how that happens, I suspect it’s a plugin that causes it so make sure that you also test this without using any plugins, empty all cache and test again.
