Hello scorp,
I have checked your website and I suspect that you do not properly set the sidebars. So, for pages, if you want to display the sidebars you will have two possibilities -> 1) Using the Visual Composer with this layout (2/3+1/3) like this -> http://screencast.com/t/eDiV5efbhEq (in this case you will have to use the default page template or pagebuilder+latest articles+pagination) -> http://screencast.com/t/oNKE9O2l0S or 2) You can use the pagebuilder+page title template and the sidebar you will have to set from the theme panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/bRM71kT0Q -> http://screencast.com/t/5J9wz7SlDv9A
For category pages, all the settings about these you can set from Theme panel->Categories, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/dkvo6Cad
For more information about our sidebars, please consult our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-category-settings-work/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/ Also, this tutorial could be more useful for you because there you will see how you can use the Visual Composer, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
As a notice, for better results, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches, purge CDN file if you are using the CDN system and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello Roney,
I have checked your website and I saw that your mobile mode is not working properly. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active (4.11.2 version), clear all your caches, purge CDN file if you are using the CDN system and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. I have checked your Console and also, I have noticed that you have a js error and your Featured Images are not shown on your side -> http://screencast.com/t/jfEIE4n4 Most likely, this type of issue comes from your untested plugins. You can try to turn off the lazy load option from the theme panel and then you will have to check the results -> http://screencast.com/t/QYKeNgZKresJ
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Also, if your problem is still there after this advice, please try to make a new clean install from scratch with the latest version of the theme, without any untested plugins and leave just Visual Composer to active and see how it will work the theme with the default settings.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. There could be a plugin conflict that is preventing the likes from being red. Please also make sure you follow this guide for facebook sharing: https://forum.tagdiv.com/facebook-share/
Thank you!
Hi,
There is no need to add css for custom fonts. You can simply add it to the custom fonts section and then selecting it for your elements from the frop-down. I will post here a more specific guide than the documentation for all users to benefit from:
Here is a step by step guide on how to add custom fonts to your content:
1) Download your preferred font but you need to make sure it’s a woff file. If it’s not, you need to search for a tool of converting fonts to a .woff format. (there are free online tools like fontsquirrel.com)
2) Upload your woff file to your server in any path you want (It has to bee inside your main wordpress instalation)
3)Add the full path to your .woff file. A full path looks like this:
http://mydomain.com/wp-content/customfonts/Angeline Vintage_Demo.woff
I created a “customfonts” folder in wp-content
If I were to add the font in the main root directory of wp, the correct path would be this one:
http://mydomain.com/Angeline Vintage_Demo.woff
It needs the absolute path to the font file no matter what folder structure you choose to have.
In order to check if the path you entered is correct, you can copy it into the browser as a standard url and the browser should download the file. If it provides a 404 error, it means the path you entered for your font is incorrect.
4) Add a name to your font in the font family box: http://screencast.com/t/sAr9rRakShu
5) Now your font will appear in the fonts dropdown so you can select it for your preferred elements: http://screencast.com/t/yrxW9kdQ0oH
This method does not require css to work.
@david If custom fonts do not apply to all your pages, there must be some css overwriting the font. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. If this does not fix it, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can login and inspect the issue.
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello bombaglu,
The WP Super Cache is our caching plugin which is tested with the theme and seems to work as properly. Fir purging CDN files, please try to consult our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/ and on the bottom of the page you will find an example how should you see this option.
Hope this helps!
Thaks for your understanding!
Hi,
1) The child theme needs to be re-created as well when switcvhing to newspaper 7. Please use the one provided with our theme and make sure you clear all caches whether it’s from a plugin, hosting or cdn as we have seen many reports of this double menu being caused by the old style.css from newspaper 6 being fed from cache.
2) The new mobile menu colors can be customized from here: http://screencast.com/t/VVbRzHbL0C
Note that if you use the new mobile theme, colors or other settings are done exclusively from the new mobile theme options panel here: http://screencast.com/t/J4qUVyUFVd3
As for the thick line, I tested our mobile theme on many devices that use ios but I could not find any lines. Please also test our demo on your device:
http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
Thank you!
Dear Catalin
Thanks for your answer.
I already tried to clear all my caches without success. I use plugin WP Super Cache. Do you reccomend other plugins? How I can purge my CDN files?
Stll not working.
Thanks
Antonio
Hi Nat,
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. This will rule out a plugin conflict that most likely causes your errors.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hello bombagiu,
I suspect your problem comes most likely from your caching plugin. Please try to clear all your caches, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system and test it again. The general theme behaviour is to show the ads whether or not you are logged.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
This depends on your install and hosting. if you have cache from hosting, you need to contact the host to instruct you how to clear there cache. if it’s a plugin there will be a clear cache button in the plugin settings. As for the cdn, depending on the server you use, there will be a “purge files” button in the settings.
Hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello khurki,
I have checked your website and I saw that you have updated the theme to the latest version of it (Newspaper 7.1.1) but also, I have noticed that all the style comes from your old version, Newspaper 6.7.1 as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/7kg0mZtHkZ This behaviour appears because perhaps, you are using CDN system. So, to solve this problem, please try to clear all your caches (inclusive CACHE SERVER), purge CDN file and test it again and check the results. Until now, we have encountered this problem and all of the customers which were had this issue were solved it by deleting the cache server. Please try to contact your hosting provider and request them to clear the server cache.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
I tested this option again and a subscriber cannot see the edit button. Please make sure the user you are testing is a subscriber as our theme uses the default user roles of WP. https://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities
If you still get the edit button, please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Thentest a subscriber account again.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Which is the way to cache and reset cdn files?
Hi
Try to deactivate all plugin except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge cdn files if you’re using then test again.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!

Hi
We apologize for the late delay but we don’t work on weekends and also we’re sorry for any inconvenioces encountered after update..
The theme is tested and it works fine. Please make sure that you update the theme according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ also try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, deactivate the child theme if you’re using, clear all caches, purge all cdn files if you’re using then test again. Also if you have any custom code in theme panel > custom code> custom css filed make sure it won’t affect page’s layout.
If with previous version a custom co worked fine this may not be the case with a new version. Theme’s style has been changed a lot and any custom code can create issues or may not work at all.
@alintiniuc thank you for your tip. Any changes made in theme’s files will be lost during update process because old files are deleted and new ones are uploaded instead.
Thanks!
Hello ericshun,
I have checked your website and I saw that you do not have the thumb created for Block 13, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/wzZOvVL2p Please try to activate it from the Theme panel, as my colleague Bogdan said you above, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/LlCjiRVRnPR and the Block 13 should work like this -> http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-13/ Also, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches, purge CDN file if you are using the CDN system and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. It is possible that some untested plugins which you are using in theme to create some conflicts which might create some issue with the thumbs.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello GlanceCompany,
Usually, this kind of error appears when using CDN or loading fonts from a different source.
The solution to this issue is simple. You will need to add some code to your .htaccess file like this post suggests: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/
Hope this helps.
Thanks.

Hi
Please make sure that you updated the theme according with our documentation, clear all caches, purge cdn files if you’re using then test again. Make sure you do a clean update. By this I mean that you have to delete current theme’s install and upload new themes files via WordPress or via ftp: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/
Thanks!
Hello,
A bug in the theme is present on our official demo as well, not only on your end 🙂 Here is how block 16 displays on our end: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-16/
If you made any modifications to the code, please revert them to the theme default.
Also plugins can also cause this type of issues so please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
Hi,
1) Please contact your hosting then and let ask if there is any caching set automatically and how to clear it. Make sure you also clear wp super cache.
2) The footer logo on the mobile theme can be removed with this code:
.footer-logo-wrap{
display:none!important
}
3) The minify option we use is this one: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
Hi,
Visual composer doe not cause errors with our theme as it;s created by us. There is most likely a compatibility issue between speedbooster and another plugin. Please disable all plugins except visual composer and speedbooster, clear cahe and reset cdn files.
Then check your site again.
Also if you set any custom code in the theme panel that maybe affects speedbooster, then you will get a js error and that is the main reason for disappearing images.
The lazyload animation breaks first on a js error so disabling lazyload will bring your images back, but that will not fix the error. It could affect other parts of your site.
Thanks.
Hello chapeaurouge,
I suspect your problem come from your untested plugins. Please disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches, purge CDN files if you are using CDN system and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
