Hello Manulinho,
Please provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it. Maybe your images are stuck in opacity 0. This usually happens on a js error caused by plugins or customization or other external optimization tools. Please disable all plugins except visual composer or TD Composer, remove all of unknown Ad Code, clear cache and reset CDN files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functioning of the theme.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
I believe by default that menu setting is set to no preloading. Indeed disabling it will improve performance.
You can test your website with online tools, try gtmetrix for example or Google insights and check the results and suggestions provided there. Optimize as many as possible, results should follow.
There are many topics here on the forum in terms of speed improvements and optimization. Some of them here for example

Hello,
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Yes, you can put at end of functions file, or make a custom plugin. Note that if your server is running http/2 it might actually work better to load locally since it will be ‘bundled’ together via https … but you’d need to speed test that. (Sometimes CDN is *not* faster, depending on locale and audience.)
All my style sheets now have an additional front slash in the url example: https:/// and its causing any style sheets in the wp-content folder not to load. I have this narrowed down to either the tagdiv pagespeed plugin or my cdn. Is there anyone else who has experienced this issue? And can someone point me to where all the hyperlinks to the spreadsheets are? They don’t appear to be in the header and pagespeed put some in the footer, but I also don’t see them in footer.php. Please help!! Our site is live.
Thank you
– Sean
Hello,
Indeed adding more features will result in a few extra queries. There were lots of features added since version 7. There were 2 major updates with lots of new features in between newspaper 7 and newspaper 9
Performance is still a concern to us ad we will not sacrifice the theme performance for adding new features but we do have to improve the theme functionality also. You cannot ad new features without some performance loss. We are working on optimization though so performance will see an increase in future releases. We are constantly working on new features but on performance optimization as well.
Until then, you can try to improve your page loading speed by optimizing your install. Try these few guides that will improve your loading speed:

We also recommend this Cloudflare configuration

For speedbooster you can disable the compatibility check like so:

Thank you for understanding.
I deactivated LazyLoad from Jetpack and re-activated the theme’s one; there was no problem and everything worked fine with that.
I find out that Jetpack also has the option to “optimize images” that is use their CDN to resize the images and serve them compressed.
My homepage without jetpack CDN loads in about 3-4 seconds and weights more than 10 Mb. It use only Cloudflare. With Jatpack CDN on it takes the same amount of time but weight only 2,5 mb.
It was maybe jatpack the problem serving the cripted images? I have now deactivated it because in other forum is suggested to use Cloudflare instead.
My question is: is it possible to optimize imgs without using photoshop and jatpack CDN? It seems that smush and the theme itself, despite the thumbnails auto-generating system, cannot do the job. Even the “regenerate thumbnails” plugin fails at that: the page weights 10 mb even after cleared the cache.
Thansk for the support.

Hi,
thanks for the support.
I finded out that in the theme panel there was the option “lazy load” on. that prevent the thumbnails from load. As you saw, now the only problem is the slider that sometimes remains black (not all the time).
What should I do? It may be only CloudFlare I suppose. I have the basic plan so service like “mirage” and “polish” are not enabled on my CDN (they could be the problem).
Is this maybe the problem that cause slow loading time? (up to 4.5 seconds)
thanks

Hello,
Please try to re-save the permalinks and then test again.if this does not fix the issue try to test without other plugins. Disable all of them except the tagdiv composer. Clear cache and reset cdn files.
If the issue is still there, please contact us on our email address at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your site and wp-admin (login information and admin rights) so we can login and investigate. Please also include a link to this conversation so we can identify you.
Thank you!
Hi,
Do you use a CDN service (like cloudflare)?
Please purge all your files. Also clear all the caches as it could be a caching issue.
If the issue persist please make a full backup and send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin and ftp access so we can take a closer look.
Also paste a link to this topic so we can identify you.
Thanks!
Hi Simion.
Thanks for replying!
So the font is not included in the theme…
In that case I prefer to import the source from the CDN.
Thanks
Some of our social counters are working but others are not:
https://distilling.com/distillermagazine/
We do not have a caching plugin installed and not connected to a CDN. We have tried from incognito tab in browser. The tagDiv Social Counter is version 4.4. The theme is version 9.0.1
We originally had the wrong social IDs for FB and Youtube and those DID show the correct counters. But several days after changing them, the counters are stuck at zero for both.
Try to search and replace field of this text in Translate section of the Newspaper theme.

I have setup WP Super Cache and cloudflare, can you please guide me how to setup cdn tab in WP Super Cache
Hello kuaza,
Before sending us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) you should remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the aches, purge CDN files and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
Seems the theme is active at the moment, the website also seems to function correctly. What exactly happened before?, more details would be very helpful.
Indeed a one time activation with a license key is required, once activated it should not reset.
As long as the theme requirements are met there should be no problem

We recommend these Cloudflare settings

Hi,
It seems a different favicon is delivered: https://www.screencast.com/t/Zy2PAIFi8N
If you changed it you will also have to clear the cache as it could be still held by caching.
Check your cache plugin, cdn or hosting side cache.
Plugin can also interfere so please also test this without plugins.
Thank you!
Hello,
Is it a secret your website URL? Why did you send me for more investigations? Before this, please make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way, clear all the caches, purge CDN files and check the results.
