If there are still a problem please remove the theme and reinstall the theme via FTP.

Hi,
In this case it is better to update by FTP, delete the old theme and upload the new one
– https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/
Due to the nature of the changes made in 9.7 it would be the best method
– https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
Many of the theme files have been moved in the tagDiv composer after update 9.7. SO they don’t exist in the previous location, the automatic update could fail. Sorry for any inconvenience. Please let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
Please provide your website URL so we can take a closer look at it. Please notice that if you are using TD Composer for pages, the AMP will not render them on mobile and will do not work anymore. Please check the documentation from here -> https://tagdiv.com/blazing-fast-websites-how-to-optimize-amp-with-newsmag-theme/
Thank you!
Hi,
You can reduce the padding in two ways, one is to edit the page with tagDiv Composer -> https://www.screencast.com/t/GdJFyVLIBHI or you can use a custom css -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ulDjUnO64
.td_block_trending_now{
margin-top: -80px;
margin-bottom: 15px;
}
Is possible to be need to change the values for margins, also the code need to be set in Theme panel>Custom code>Custom css
Thank you!
Hi,
Try to make a layout for your post page to look similar with your above image using the Td Composer, according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial-2/ Regarding on gallery, you can try using our tagDiv Gallery according to this guide from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-tagdiv-slider-gallery/
Thank you!
There were some changes made to the theme in update 9.7 – https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
Now the tagDiv composer has to be active at all times to maintain the same functionality. If you have updated to the latest version please activate the tagDiv composer as well.
The issue you are referring to with the single image elements when both our composer and Visual composer are active, will be fixed in the next update. In the mean time the fix is to download this file – http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/tdc_map.zip and replace it in the tagDiv composer – http://prntscr.com/nikwre Teh single images will look and function correctly after doing this.
Sorry for this inconvenience, the fix will be included in the next theme update.
In case the page builder buttons don’t appear after you update the theme and theme plugins, we could take a look at it. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. Please include a link to this topic in the email. Let us know.
Hi,
Since theme update 9.7 most of the theme files have been moved in the tagDiv composer plugin – https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
So customizing these files is not possible to do in a child theme anymore. One way would be to modify them in the composer plugin directly, but the changes will be lost after a theme update because the plugins will be updated as well.
The child theme is now limited to a functions and style files, and a few files that were not moved in the composer and can still be used in it.
Maybe a solution will be found to be able to modify theme files found in the plugin more safely, we will create documentation for it if that happens. If you have more questions pleas let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
That box for spot id will change the width after you set an ad/banner in it and you look on publish view ( not in composer ) -> https://www.screencast.com/t/iW5yieXFrEMx
Thank you!
Hi,
Please make sure that you have TagDiv Composer activate.
The Newspaper theme update brings a change for the theme implementation.
When you’ll be updating to the Newspaper 9.7 version, you’ll need to activate the tagDiv Composer to keep the Newspaper theme functionality you’ve previously used.
Otherwise, you will have basic WordPress functionality, complying with Envato WordPress Requirements – https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000472383-WordPress-Theme-Requirements
Please read this article we wrote on the new update https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/ to learn what it changes and what you must do in order to keep the functionality intact.
Thank you!
Hi,
No need to activate the WPBakery plugin, bundled plugins don’t need a license. AN article about it here – https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/213762463-Bundled-Plugins?_ga=2.148850615.1240581804.1556603480-1715937315.1492175355
Simply install the plugin and use it, ignore the activation messages that may appear.
When there will be updates for the theme we will include the latest version of the bundled plugins at the time – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Please let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hello !
You can edit the widgets features using the tagDiv Composer. There you can limit your widget to display your most popular posts from the last 7 days like here: https://www.screencast.com/t/t2LnfUMF94. https://www.screencast.com/t/MWlWtFRbRDFr. Or you can display random posts from your last 7 days.
Thank you !
Hi,
The single templates are found in the composer plugin, in the legacy folder
– http://prntscr.com/nijozi
Most of the theme files that were moved are now in that folder. So you could do your modifications there, should work.
Good night,
I just can’t find any of the Single templates in Cloud Library.
I go to Cloud Templates, then Add New, then click on “TagDiv Composer”, “Load Template”, and the Cloud Library opens, but there are no templates on the Single category.
Has something changed on the latest update? How can I find them to apply to a new template.
Because a lot of Elements are missing when I just try to make a template from scratch.
As an example, here it is a search result for “Post” now:
When this is the result for the same search under a custom template I’ve made a couple of months ago based on a Single Cloud Library template:
Thanks for your help!
Greetings,
Does anyone know why these aren’t displaying like they are for me while i’m in the edit mode? Thanks
If I disable Composer I get this error dump:

Good evening, i still got the same problem. I’ve updated the theme till the last version, and the tagDiv Composer plugin is activated and updated too. But install demo “Home Decor” still inactive. What am i supposed to do to install it on my site?
Dear all,
I set up my home page without any problems, but when I try to change just the image (Text is OK, CSS is OK…), but nothing updated, 🙁
Many thanks for your help 🙂
Cédric
The latest version of the TD Composer plugin breaks the credit card entry box on the WooFunnels plugin. Any solution? Otherwise, I won’t be upgrading past 9.6.1 until that’s fixed.
Hey, it’s me again.
I have a problem with the way my site looks on mobiles.
I have static main page, made with Composer. While on desktop it looks the way I want it, on mobile is different.
What I mean is mainly block 15 with 5 posts in. On desktop it is horizontally, but on mobile it is vertically even though it’s plenty of space to fit those little boxes.
It looks terrible. Is there any way to change it?
I tried Mobile Theme plugin, but it doesn’t work really well, it displays mobile version even on some desktops – based on feedback from my readers. I had to delete it.
Hello
My site http://wisehairstyles.com can’t work properly right now, because of the tagDiv Composer plugin cannot be installed again after the Newspaper Theme updated.
Thanks
Hugo
Hi Tagdiv
I used the automatic update process you suggest at C. 6 point (automatic update) of this page https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ but the result is the same. Theme broken & complete mess.
The problem is customizations we made in our Child theme that are not compatible with the new 4.8 version.
We need this kind of customitazions and we have paid money to a Pro to get it. And know you told us that are not compatible!!!
Tell us how to solve the problem without spend other money please.
About TagDiv Composer
We built our magazine with the previuous version of Newsmag Theme with Visual Composer and we like it. See Fabrizio Azzali review on your theme page.
In the lasts theme versions you use TAG DIV visual composer. We do not love visual editors. It is possible to delete TAG DIV Composer plugin from installation?
Just to reply to myself – I got my calendar widget to display. I did indeed simply put in the short code for the calendar widget into the page. Before, or instead of editing the page with tagdiv composer, edit the page normally with the WordPress editor, and you will see lots of short codes for tagdiv. Just insert your short code in the appropriate spot.
I used a Block Text With Title block and it looks like this (the ai1ec shortcode is for my calendar):
[td_block_text_with_title custom_title=”Calendar”][ai1ec view=”agenda” display_filters=”false”][/td_block_text_with_title]
If I did find a good calendar plugin, how would I have the calendar widget inserted onto a page using tagdiv composer? Is there a way to populate a column or box with a short code or somehow get the calendar to display?
Hello nachding.
Try going to TD Composer, clicking on that row and scroll down and try to stretch it out (play with this feature). Then, in the same row, go to CSS and select a background color or play with a overlay color 1 and 2 to achieve what you want 🙂
It’s not in the theme anymore. It’s in the td_composer plugin: plugins\td-composer\legacy\common\wp_booster\wp-admin
