I fixed it just by installing ONLY the js-composer plugin, with the new theme. Worked flawlessly. thanks,
Hi,
The thumbnails seem to be created correctly
– https://www.screencast.com/t/lxt3homq
The problem seems to be with the theme width, it is wider than normal. If you updated from an older version, with pages built with Visual composer, please deactivate the tagDiv composer plugin. Check if this will fix the problem, it should also fix the single image problems.
Or in case of the slider it could be modifications you made or are making to the theme, old customization may not work for in case of an update. Theme elements and design can change from update to update.
Can you address whether there is something in the theme that could cause these MySQL SLEEP requests to be sent? It does not happen when using the built-in Twentyfifteen theme, so something is different when NewsMag is in-use.
Although I deactivated several plug-ins during my troubleshooting, I did not try turning off all plug-ins except for the tagDivones. I understand why you are asking this, but my site will break in other ways without plug-ins, so this is not a useful test for me.
Also, this is a separate concern, but is the tagDiv Composer plug-in required for the theme, even if I do not plan to use tagDiv Composer. It seems like a complex plug-in, and I would prefer to leave it deactivated.
Hi,
If the mobile theme plugin has disappeared from your active plugins list, search for it in the inactive plugins and delete it. If you try to activate it this message should be displayed
– https://www.screencast.com/t/c1nsiSvnmQq
So delete it and install it again from the latest theme package. That is if you still want to use it.
1. The plugin is optional, so you could simply not activate it and there will be no problem. It’s purpose is to present a overall simplified variant of the website on mobile.
2. The multi-purpose plugin is no more
– https://www.screencast.com/t/bzKr92ePiT3
By an oversight it is provided in the theme package, we will fix that. As of 8.7.5 all the multi-purpose elements and settings are included in the tagDiv composer.
Now after a theme update the tagDiv composer should be updated automatically, if that did not happen for you deactivate and delete it and install it from here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/KwPCbnRF9PB
The shortcodes should work, like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/OWg27PZp

Thanks
Please make sure you update the tagdiv composer plugin as well and if the issue is still there, contact us on our email address at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your site and wp-admin (login information and admin rights) so we can login and investigate. Please also include a link to this conversation so we can identify you.
Thank you!
Hi,
When there are no new posts, the last published posts will be displayed.
The grid cannot be made to disappear until a new post is published. Only by manually editing the page with the composer and removing the grid it will not show anymore.
Thanks
Hello,
These are the tdm images used by the tagdiv composer multi-purpose elements. They previously came up only when activating the multi-purpose plugin but starting from 8.7.5, the multi-purpose elements were integrated into the tagdiv composer, no longer requiring the multi-purpose plugin to be installed. Now the images appear for everybody.
The tdm images will come back if deleted. They were programmed this way as they are required by the new elements. We will provide a “fix” for this in the next theme update as it seems there are many requests to disable these images.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Thanks.
Hello,
They are the images required by the multi-purpose plugins. Images that have names starting with tdm in front. They cannot be removed as they are required by the multi-purpose elements that have now become part of the tagdiv composer, no longer through a multi-purpose plugin.
Thank you!
Hi,
I don’t quite understand exactly what you want to do. On pages you can display any of the elements available in the tagDiv composer
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
Blocks can have limits for the number of post displayed, you can display 5 (value set by default) if that is what you want. The latest sorting is also selected by default.
Thanks
You must have had the WPBakery page builder active as well, if none of the composers are active, only shortcodes will be displayed. The theme blocks and grids will be displayed by either tagDiv composer and WPBakery page builder.
This problem you are having is most unusual, the tagDiv composer is faster than the WPBakery page builder, so if this is not a hosting limitation then the results should be accordingly. Can you check what processes are consuming all these resources?
If you can, please install make a copy of the website on a sub-domain and install the latest theme version there. Check if the same thing happens. Use the duplicator plugin for example.
Hello,
I will try, but there are technical elements that cannot be called anything else than they are though :).
The first thing to check are the plugins. We see plugin break the theme all the time. Please disable all plugins except for tagdiv composer to see if the problem is still present or not. If it;s not the plugins than we have to dig deeper. In order not to get too technical, it’s easier to contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your site and a username and password so we can login and make a few tests to see if we can identify the problem.
Thanks.
Hello,
If your content was not originally created with the tagdiv composer, this can happen and you can only place elements underneath the existing content, not in the middle of it as you are trying to do. If this is not the case, you can try to disable plugins as we see plugins affect the composer all the time.
If everything else fails, try it on a brand new page,. Maybe there is a code on that specific page breaking the composer functionality.
Thank you!

Hello,
The tagdiv composer is a page builder that is required by the theme. Either the tagdiv composer or wpbakery page builder. You will need one of these 2 plugins for the theme shortoces to function properly. Choose on or the other, but you cannot disable both.
Thank you!
Hello I have upgraded to the new version. I removed and installed the tagdiv composer too. However I have noticed that the plugin becomes deactivated although I activated it. I did it again and it got deactivated after an hour. This time I activated it from Newsmag plugins tab. This time it was stable for several hours but now it is deactivated again. Why would a plugin deactivates itself? I have never had any trouble with the previous version.

Hi,
By updating the theme files will be replaced, so if you made any modifications directly to theme files they will be lost. Note that theme panel settings, custom code entered in the theme panel, posts and pages, these will not be lost since they are kept in the database of the website.
As it is always recommended please make a backup before updating, this is the update guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/
The tagDiv composer and social counter should be automatically updated as soon as you update the theme, the rest of the theme plugins will have to be updated manually.
Thanks
I solved it myself, please make sure 1) reinstall the TD composer 2)delete or deactivate the multipurpopse plugin
Hi… I’m facing some problem with Tagdiv composer while try to add new element. After add “ROW” and insert element, error message appear “_getDestinationModel Error: Model id of the container destination not in data!” https://prnt.sc/jma480.
Thanks
Hi, my twitter counter is not updating – it says 14 when there should be 22.
See: https://www.thesilverlife.com
I’ve updated the latest Newspaper version to 8.7.5 and using social counter 4.4. Caches emptied, no change to the count.
I also get a 502 Bad Gateway error whenever I try to use the TagDiv Composer.
Thank you,

After the update the home page of my website modoemprendedor.com got messed up. Apparently it is a problem with tagdiv composer plugin. I deleted the plugin and installed it again following instructions given after the update but nothing changed. I can see it is not only me with the same problem and none of our questions have been answered. Help please!!
I tried disabling the visual composer, but now your composer wont load or let me edit any pages. . .
I think I answered my own question. Rebuild the page using your composer instead.
Hello,
I have 2 copies of your theme for my two sites, and I am having the same issue for both of them.
In order to do the upgrade to the latest version, I have deleted the plugins and deleted the Newspaper theme, and uploaded the new versions that you have provided in the latest update. My homepage shows up as blank? I have flushed the cache and tried several times.
This is the website running on the previous version: http://www.luminousmom.com
Im wondering if this is a visual composer thing? Because I used visual composer when I first created these pages??
I am using newspaper black version. 8.7.5
I want to be able to add menu items or links to just the mobile menu (hamburger menu)
There is so much wasted space on the mobile menu and it is a natural place for a user to find other site links when on a mobile device. However I dont want these to appear on the main desktop menu because there are too many and my main desktop menu only needs to have a 3 items to stay clean and easy. (home, about, shop).
and ideally the home button should be an icon…but I’ll make another post for that request.
for example, I need to be able to display items such as contact us, view cart in the mobile slide out menu.
these items appear on the the site but are in header menus or footer menus so they dont clutter up the main navigation.
I cannot use the mobile only template because it lacks the TD Composer elements which are essential to this layout and way too easy to use to make nice things.
How can I add items to JUST the mobile menu?
OR is anyone aware of a robust 3rd party menu plugin (paid or free) that works on Newspaper? I tried a few in the past and the results were not desirable.
thanks.
I have just built my wordpress site, it still needs tweaking. I was about to do this after working with the composer with nog problems yesterday. Now it just comes up with a blank screen. I see a number of posts and am not supertechnical. Is this a bug, or is this something I should fix in the backend somehow? And if yes: can you provide a foolproof step by step guide without the insider jargon?
