Oh, I don’t use TDComposer at all, so it’s a shame that the width can’t be determined in global theme options.
In TD composer, under the row options, you can choose to stretch row and content.
Hello,
I am developing locally in MAMP (MAC). I upgraded from Newspaper 8.2 to 8.5. Everything seems to work fine accept the new Landing Page feature (“tagDiv Multi-Purpose” plugin) does not function. Specifically,
• the “tagDiv Multi-Purpose” plugin is installed and “active”.
• I create a new page using “Pagebuilder + Overlay menu” template page setting.
• PROBLEM: None of the buttons are available under “Elements” when I try to edit and build the page with tagDiv Composer.
Under “Themes Panel” > “PLUGINS’ SETTINGS” > “General Settings” > “BUTTONS STYLE” this alert appears:
wp booster error:
td_apibase::mark_used_on_page : a component with the ID: tds_api is not set.
/Applications/MAMP/htdocs/newspaper2018/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_api.php
wp booster error:
Missing parameter: ‘file’
/Applications/MAMP/htdocs/newspaper2018/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_autoload_classes.php
Could you tell me how to remedy this problem?
Thank you.
Like it says in the title, it seems like even though I save and publish my pages, the grids, titles, etc that I do in tagdiv composer are not showing up on the actual website.
Hello,
since upgrading to 8.5, I cannot use the ackground color in rows anymore. When I’m using the TagDiv composer, I can change and even see the background color, but the page wouldn’t display it.
Thanks in advance!
Could it be that you have not updated the Visual Composer plugin? I have not updated it since I updated the theme editor.
After updating to Newspaper 8.5, I cannot edit the HTML code in the Raw HTML box. When I click on it through the Visual Composer, the menu now says “Save Shortcode” but there is no option to edit anything: https://imgur.com/a/0pPlI
Can someone help with this? Thanks
After updating the last version of Newspaper8 visual composer is not working only classic mode… please help..
Hi,
I have updated the theme to version 8.5 but when I use tagDiv Composer and save the changes, the WPBakery Page Builder and Mega Addons For Visual Composer elements disappear.
Thank you for support
I have deactivated the tag div composer and I still have all my columns showing at 100%

Hi
Is the new multi-purpose plugin useful only to those who use td-composer?
Who uses js-composer can also not activate it?
There is however some good reason to activate it?
Thanks
I did the update through the Envato plugin. Only after that flew the Visual Composer
Hello
There is no auto update of the theme on my site. Why?
Also TagDiv composer front-end is not working. Error ‘Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!’ What to do?
Thanks
Hi,
I can’t use Tag Div Composer. Seeing an error. Please check screen shoot >> http://prntscr.com/hh819m
Its saying Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!
Please tell me how i can fix this issue.
Thanks.
Sorry but the tagdiv composer does not have shortcode equivalent for those elements.
Why do you insist on using the tagdiv composer when you are clearly in need of the old VC elements and do not want to create new pages? Simply use VC just as before. We are not forcing anyone to use the new page builder. Simply disable the plugin and install vc found in the main theme package and all the work is done. Do not use both cs and tagdiv composer at the same time though.
Thanks.
Hello,
The transition guide can be found here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
The tagdiv composer does not have all the elements vc has.
It was not designed to replicate VC and will not have the exact identical elements.
If you do not like the tagdiv composer simply install VC as it’s included in the theme package. You already have it. for free. Please use this guide to install VC back: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
By the way, you never mentioned it was removed in the first place. Not in this topic anyway.
If you cannot use VC, you will have to recreate pages from scratch. What should I help with there? I cannot create the pages for you! You must use the page builder and add content to your pages. The old ones must be removed.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please try to reinstall the theme and the theme plugins especially tagdiv composer – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/fatal-error-message-and-broken-theme/
Thanks!
thanks Catalin for your reaction.
I only use standard grids, rows and columns on my site, http://zoektocht.net
———–
we use the same shortcodes as Visual Composer for all the custom blocks, big grids, rows, and columns. The differences come from the shortcode attributes. For example, we have implemented an easier and totally different way to use the CSS box than in Visual Composer.
———–
I don’t have shortcode attributes as far as I know.
the page looks perfect even after disabling visual composer.
recreating the page is a lot of work and at the moment I don’t see the need for it.
so is it still necesary then to recreate it when only using standard things?
this is the code that’s generated for the front page

Hello wicky37,
Please notice that each page builder has own shortcodes for all the elements are used in the page. So, if you want to switch the theme to the TD Composer, you should re-create your pages with this page builder according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-introduction/
Please keep in mind that both of these two-page builders are fully tested with the latest version of the theme and should work as expected with it. Notice that is not recommended to be used in simultaneously mode. Please check the following useful guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/ If the problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your wp-admin so we can further inspect it closer your setup page. Provide there the link to this topic so we can quickly identify you.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
The block settings can be found in the page builder. Please edit your page in the tagdiv composer and change the block settings like so: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Thank you!
Stop activating the TD composer every time the theme updates. You made it so the VC composer has to be manually updated every time. The same should be said for the new (not yet even close to done) TD composer. You activate it automatically every time the theme updates and then it screws up our sites. Since your TD composer is still in Beta, don’t make it automatically active.
The theme was fine until you messed it up with a not even half done product you insist on activating. I’ve put HOURS (like WEEKS) into troubleshooting your theme and plugins. Are you going to refund me that???? If not, then please just fix what doesn’t work.
None of that answers any of my questions. What parts don’t you understand? VC was removed from my site (which is why I have BROKEN stuff EVERYWHERE!!!!). Now, go back and please try and help me. This has been hours and hours of my time. The front end thing is broken, the elements are missing, you didn’t lay out ANY TYPE of transition guide at all! You didn’t tell us the TD composer doesn’t have even HALF of what VC offers. You didn’t map out how to change the code. All you did in your fancy useless video was market to NEW customers. Ignoring your old ones.
Hello,
No one is forcing you to move over to the new page builder. You can use vc just as before and disable the tagdiv composer.
Sorry you feel this way about our product and marketing. As well as our support. If you feel the theme is not to your liking, you can request a refund here: https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/new and we will provide it
Thank you!
Hello,
OK, let;s try this another way. You cannot use both page builders at the same time and you cannot use elements from one page builder to another. If you want to switch to the tagdiv composer you will have to re-create your existing pages with the new builder that means scratching the old page and creating a brand new one by pressing the add new button and then adding elements to it with the tagdiv composer. Please use this guide to learn how simple it is to use: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
This guide should help with the settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
We cannot creqate the pages for you so you will have to eventually learn how to use the builder.
That is IF you want to switch to the new builder. You can always keep VC if you want. Just do not use both at the same time.
Thank you!
