Is there someone who can help? I have 2 months of support left, and site at Edmondactive.com is currently active with visitors and site configuration is not right and no visual composer whether VC or TD composer works. When I uploaded the TD Composer it completely crashed the site and when I removed the plugin, the configuration became off.
Hey guys, nice theme so far. As a SEO I want to write and style my contents even on category pages (for Google and other search engines). There is a plugin that I used to utilize to get the content with VC on the category page: https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/enhanced-category-pages/ (it is compatible with VC and works fine on other projects).
I tried it for the first time on your theme but with no success.
It would be a HUGE advantage if the archive pages could be styled with this type of extension/plugin. Maybe you see a workarround or you can implement it in your theme.
Thank you for your support!
Sebastian from Germany.
PS: Please no answer like: “this is a 3rd party plugin – sorry :)” I need a solution for this even with or without this specific plugin 😉 Thank you!

Hey Chris!
Honestly I never tried TD Composer. I use only Visual Composer and it works perfectly for me.
Thanks!
Hello Bogdan,
I don’t use tagDiv composer, I work only with Visual Composer.
I found myself with tagDiv composer activated, after the last update.
The automatic activation of the tagDiv composer led to the cropping of all the images on the website.
I appreciate all your support and the hard work you are doing to give us an awesome theme, but please prevent that theme updates create malfunctions and issues to the websites already created.
Thank you!
I’ve never used the TagDiv Composer. I just thought I should provide the error message for when I tried it.
But thank you, because I no longer get the error message from the TagDiv Composer when Visual Composer is deactivated.
Also, I’m new to this technical stuff… Is there somebody from the Newspaper 7 Theme creators that gets assigned to assist me?
Make sure not to use TagDiv Composer and VisualComposer at same time — won’t work!
Sorry, forgot to mention that I also receive the following error when I try to use the DivTag Composer:
‘ Errors happened during tdclframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()! ‘
I purchased Newspaper 7 about 8 or 9 months ago but have just recently installed it, so I hope my support is still honored.
The previous Theme was The-7, which also included the Visual Composer plugin.
But when I switch to the Newspaper 7 theme, everything works except for the webpages containing the Visual Composer code (which appear blank with no error message).
I’m able to edit and save these pages using the Backend Editor, they still won’t load (are blank) in the browser.
I’ve tried downloading a fresh copy of the theme and deleting/re-installing the js_composer plugin from the zipped theme download, but nothing works.
Can you please assist?
Catalin:
First, thanks for all your help with my previous inquiries over the past year. Much appreciated.
I’m writing with three questions.
1) I updated my site from 7.8.1 to 8. Once I did that, the Single Image Composer in Visual Composer no longer displays the image correctly. It’s my site logo on the home page of rovertreks.com. I’ve tried adjusting sizes, re-installing, and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?
2) I would like to post my logo as a banner across the top of all pages? How do I do that? Up to this point, I’ve run the logo as a large single image to identify my site name.
3) I cannot get social counter to recognize my Facebook feed to display the number of followers. I’ve followed the troubleshooting procedures you folks recommend: clearing cache, reloading pages, etc. Nothing works. Any suggestions?
As always, I appreciate your help and advice. Thanks, tom
Hello,
i made the upgrade from newspapers 7 to 8.
When i use the TD Composer to make home and other page it stay in loading without working.
My system requirements are all okay. I have tryed to stop every plugin without stop td composer but nothing.
Can you help me?
Okay, I understand and disabled the TG Composer – now the website is again okay…but just to say: I didnt use the TG Composer - but the plugin was activated automatically...didnt you check before launching the TD Composer occurring problems with the VC Composer?
A Tipp for the future: Please give to your clients an information in advance if you update the theme and you introduce a new plugin which will be automatically installed and also activated. It`s the second time in my case, that you change something in the theme and after an unknow time I checked that the website is not running well due to a new plugin launched by you.
Your theme is (fortunately) so powerfull, that not every client can check every function if it it`s running really well after an update by you…
With best regards, thanks for suppport
Michael
Hello;
We upgraded the theme, but our contact page became untrue when we deactivated Virtual Composer. We look at TD Composer but we did not find the specific tag for Maps. We put the GMAP Iframe but it is not responsive. Would you help me?
hi ive updated newspaper to v8 but i cannot see the visual composer button to edit my frontpage any longer and no tagdiv composer button?
Yes, I understand that TD Composer could be a more polished approach focused on this theme alone, but what do I do with it if it does not work?
Will I have to search for a hosting environment with the required system configuration just to make TD Composer work? Is it really happening?
Guys! Make it work with every type of server environment!
Hi,
When I activate TD composer, my row with 3 collumns 1/4 + 1/2 + 1/4 doesn’t work.
Hello, Catalin.
Thank you. The reinstallation of the theme and tagDiv Composer helped.
Hello freshmademedia,
Please keep in mind that our TD Composer does not destroy your homepage layout if in the past you have used the Visual Composer. First of all, please keep in mind that it is not recommended to be used both page builders simultaneously because might appear some conflicts, sorry! Notice that the TD Composer will recognize the Visual Composer shortcodes and the page which was created with VC should be right displayed on the front page if you will enable the TD Composer. Also, we do not recommend to edit this page with TD Composer if it was made with Visual Composer. You should make a similar page (recreate it by TD Composer from scratch) if you want to achieve best theme results. Also, for more information about the transition between two-page builders, please check the useful guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Also, if you do not like to use TD Composer, you can disable it and continue to use only the Visual Composer but please notice that in the future, we will release new features exclusively on our page builder.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi Simion,
thanks, we are currently using js composer and we have made all the things needed to increase speedsite…
Before switching to TagDiv composer we want to be sure there are no problem also about speed on single articles, not on page…
By a test done really adds 8 css and js on single articles and this is not good. Sometimes is not so easy remove or deregister the styles and scripts… you have not done tests that make the simple thing?
I think it’s useful, as many publishers use ten pages and thousands of articles … optimization and speed is more important on individual articles, I believe…
Can you give me suggestions on which id to use for css and js added by div composer tags?
Thanks
Hello,
You do not have to move over to the new builder right away. you can take it slow and have both active at the same time. Simply do not use one builder to edit a page created with the other. If you want to edit your old pages, do it with visual composer. For new pages, use the tagdiv composer and create new ones in time. You can still use visual composer. We did not remove it from our theme. We will however in the future put more emphasis on our own page builder rather than visual composer so we suggest moving over to the new builder.
You can place text in pages using the builder: https://www.screencast.com/t/ThV3YGomW9U or simply in the back-end using the tiny mce editor of wp.
This guide should help with the transition: https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Spending months on a single page seems overkill though. As you can see from our video, you actually CAN do it in 3 minutes.
Thank you!
Hi,
The tagDiv composer does not slow the website if that is what you mean, as Visual composer might have done. It is much lighter then Visual composer. If you want to remove or deregister the styles and scripts you mention, you can search here on the forum for other similar solutions. However your website is very fast, I don’t know what improvement this will make.
Thanks
Hello,
1. That seems to be a cached image. Please clear all caching from the cache plugin, browser cache, cdn server or hosting side cache.
2. This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Please also check your system status parameters: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thank you!
Hello all,
@gilimor, sorry, but I think that I did not express myself correctly. Please keep in mind that the TD Composer do not have a scroll bar button but the items from TD Composer can be scrolled. Please notice that you should not buy any laptop because each touchpad should have the scroll function. Most likely, you do not have installed this function on your laptop and that’s why you cannot do this effect. Please check this through your PC drivers and try to fix it. In the worst case, you need to buy a scroll mouse that costs about $ 2, sorry!
@SirSteve, I am sorry if you are unhappy with our product. If you are still unhappy with our product and if you want a full refund, please contact the Envato Market and request a full refund, accessing this link here -> https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/new and we will provide your money back so you can buy other our theme.
P.S Please notice that our TD Composer was fully tested and optimized for our theme and should work as expected and your refund reason is not fair because the function exists and the TD Composer items can be scrolled.
Thanks for your understanding!!
Hello,
The theme width cannot be changed. The theme was built using a fixed width and you cannot change the main container. You can have full width rows on pages using the tagdiv composer, but it will not affect posts or other templates. You can do it from row settings: https://www.screencast.com/t/RkISOIx77
Thank you!
Hello,
The top grid in the world news demo is a revolution slider element. The slide itself if provided in the theme package so it can be imported into revolution slider. Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-revolution-sliders-on-demos/
Please use this guide to learn how to use the page builder and create your homepage using content blocks: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
