Hi,

We will update the Visual Composer plugin in the next theme version, after we test the new version of the plugin with the theme. It should be a theme update this week, if nothing goes wrong.

Thanks!

Hi

I’ve tested the time format with Revolution Slider on my side and works fine: http://screencast.com/t/ldpciOKuVthttp://screencast.com/t/e0AMlMir Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer and Revolution Slider, clear the cache and test again.

Let me know how it goes!

Thanks!

Hi,

I guess that you refer to a page. The media library(Add media) can be accessed only when the default Visual Editor is used. When the Visual Composer is used, your page is created using the pagebuilder so it is supposed to use text block(for example, also some VC elements) to add images and text to the content, so you can access the Media Library from there – http://screencast.com/t/qEqFir8M94z

Thanks!

Hi,

I have checked this in text block also in a Raw Js(Visual Composer element) and it works on my side – http://screencast.com/t/EXFuFdfflDIahttp://screencast.com/t/Al9zEpG3h4xk
Also on Raw JS – http://screencast.com/t/YfX0RidQcoQhttp://screencast.com/t/HPNcpcO7
So please check this only with Visual Composer active, disable all other plugins and see if it works.

Thanks!

Hello jivy26,

You can control the sidebar on every page using visual composer without affecting other posts/pages.
You can use visual composer and remove the sidebar in your homepage. http://screencast.com/t/hKnSBVQobi4Q
And you can read more about visual composer here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
I hope this helps.

Thank you.

Hello sineros,

The font settings from the panel will not be applied if you use Visual Composer as the theme supports Visual Composer but doesn’t have css for it. You will have to use inline css or add an extra class to the text block and use custom css to change the font. The panel settings will be applied only if you create your articles/pages using the default Visual Editor (No Visual Composer)

Thank you.

Hi,

Yes, if you use the button shortcodes you will have to fill the color(not all colors are supported, just black, blue, green), size etc.
The theme supports shordcodes in the content, for example Visual Composer use shortcodes. So I suggest to create you button using VC(it is more easy to customize your button) in the page content and copy the shortcode directly in the post content. Please check this solution – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/creating-buttons-in-posts/#post-56162 and paste the shortcode in the html editor – http://screencast.com/t/bxKZ7XQl82hg

Hope this helps!

Hello,

Please disable all your plugins except of Visual Composer, clear your cache and see if you still have this problem. Some plugin settings could cause this issue when the lazy load effect is in use. Try to disable image lazy load – http://screencast.com/t/YqtPZqb3Raf and see how it goes.

Thanks!

Hi,

You can edit your homepage and add the Slider via Visual Composer pagebuilder, if your plugin(I guess that you use a plugin) supports shortcodes. For example if you create a slider using Revolution Slider, you can add it via Visual Composer just on top of your content – http://screencast.com/t/vTjp4RxoT4
Or add it in the code like I suggested above just under the main menu(depends what header template you use).
Theme has 3 different page templates – http://screencast.com/t/rjjObhEfsOPO that you can use, not only for your homepage. To be clear there is no specific template for homepage to edit, but if you want to edit one of these templates you can find them here – http://screencast.com/t/0OKrXVHYV8n

Thanks!

Salut,

Am verificat pagina ta si folosesti template-ul cu latest articles(Pageduilder with latest articles) – http://screencast.com/t/XxCXuGwwUn

Mersi!

Hi

Sorry for the delay, we don’t work on weekends !
I’ve inspected your site and believe this is caused by theme’s lazy loading animation which’s script could be in conflict with one of your plugin’s js causing this: http://screencast.com/t/dhJYAgT1
First please try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test this again. If you still got this issue try to turn off the lazy load animation from theme panel > template settings: http://screencast.com/t/YW1yiBDsk5Dm and test the site again.
Let me know how it goes and if the problem persist address us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-access so we can inspect this issue, also include a link to this topic.

Please let us know!

Thanks!

Hi

Make sure you set the image added into post content to be full width http://screencast.com/t/hmgWdQ4kPJjThttp://screencast.com/t/dFQpilMm For pages the theme uses thumbs to display images in order to keep the page size as low as possible, so the image is cropped at thumb’s size. To display a full width image on the page you can use a single image block from Visual Composer: http://screencast.com/t/KqaAAtPO

Thanks!

Same Problem here, Only seeing 1/2 of the elements in the Visual Composer Section. I can see the Page Template settings and comments etc though. Also had this theme for a while and I’ve updated to the latest theme version.

Hello,

I see Visual Composer has reached version 4.7. But I see on Newspaper 6.4, still 4.6.2.
Is this safe? How about bugfixes?

Thank you.

It is the strangest thing. When the Visual Composer plugin is activated, I cannot access the “Media Library” when disabled, it works perfectly. I removed it completely and reinstall it and it’s still not working.

Please help asap.

Hiya,

I’m building a site using Newspaper at the moment, and I’m trying to embed a Tableau dashboard in one of the pages.

This is the dashboard I’m trying to embed: https://public.tableau.com/profile/cogdiss#!/vizhome/LondonInStereoListings/Dashboard1 and I’m using the code it gives me at the bottom.

I’ve tried it in both the standard WordPress edit pane, and within a text module in the visual composer, but it’s not displaying. I can see a white screen where it should be, but the content isn’t there.

This is the page where I’ve embedded it: http://cogdiss.com/lisnew/listings/

I’m using the latest version of WordPress, and the latest version of Newspaper with a child theme installed (the one which comes with the theme). The only plugins I have installed right now are Visual Composer, Updraft, Revive Old Post and Limit Login Attempts.

Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Cheers!

How can I customize “Text Block” and “Text with Title” I added via Visual Composer
I couldn’t find this setting under Theme Fonts customization.
None of the font settings makes any change.

Yeah I manually minified the js composer css (it’s the biggest file according to gps), didnt shave off that many. Pagespeed still says compressing (gzipping) the file would reduce it with from 600kb, from 750 to roughly 150. Most gzip testers say my gzip is enabled, but somehow GPS keeps telling me I could roughly shave of 2MB (!!) by gzipping all the css. So not all files al being compressed with my htacces rules. Im running a website with an older version of Newspaper on the same server with nginx and GPS doesn’t mention anything about compressing. Have no idea how to fix this…

Also, why do you prefer apache on plesk over nginx handeling php? I’m on a VPS (6gn ram) and my hosting provider said using nginx would reduce my pageload way more than apache. When I have over 2000 real time apache starts to flood the ram :/ That’s why I switched to nginx handeling PHP and configure WP Super Cache with it. Doesn’t break a sweat!

Hey Chris, thanks for the quick reply, been a long time sincs we spoke. I know minifying isn’t the same as compressing. Google page speed says that compressing visual composer css version something something could save 750kb alone. I’ve run a webpagespeed test and it says that some files are gzipped, but a lot of then don’t.

I normally run wp super cache on plesk with nginx and have gzip compression enabled with some nginx rules, that works perfectly fine. But I’ve switched to apache and wp super cache with mod_rewrite rules and no matter what I try I just can’t get all the css and Javascript to get gzipped. Ive tried .htacces deflate rules and even tried a plugin to do the work for me.

I’m totally lost and think about switching back to nginx with my own additional config. What am I doing wrong?

I have had this theme for a little while and this is the 1st time I have had this problem.

When I go to update a page: I make any change, and once I click update I can no longer see (approximately) the bottom 1/2 of the visual composer screen.

It still shows up on my page but I am no longer able to access any of the information that is now “Hidden” from view in visual composer.

When I click classic mode, I can see all of the code, but when i click back to Backend view the “bottom 1/2” of my items are hidden.

Would greatly appreciate any help with this problem.

I have already updated all of my plugins, deactivated and reactivated visual composer and the problem still persists on any page I update.

Thank you

Hi,
Is there a restriction on how many google ads can be on a homepage? I have a header ad, then using visual composer I added under menu a billboard ad, left side bar a 300×250. Finally there is a footer ad. If I add an ad a section above the recent post section, then the footer ad won’t show.

Is this normal?

Thanks for your help

Hi,

I disabled all the plugins, but it didn’t work and the mobile menu is not working. I also don’t use visual composer plugin. The only modifications we have done are in header.php and footer.php and they are only the codes for advertisements.

Please advise,
