Download and install the latest 4.5, check plugins folder and install the latest VC (visual composer). Thats gona fix your problem

Please make sure you deactivate all other plugins leaving just the Visual Composer plugin active, empty cache and purge files if you use any CDN and/or cache plugins then activate the speedbooster plugin as this may not work properly with other plugins.

Well, since something is missing from the visual composer plugin folder; I’d likely try uploading manually via FTP, since if something isn’t “all there” (sometimes happens if trying to auto install the plugin via the theme or WordPress panel). I always do this myself since I always trace these kinds of gremlins to a missing or corrupt file from unzipping on the server. Betcha it will work … as there is not anything wrong with version of VC included with v4.5 of theme; unless the zip file or install goes awry.

This new theme really look like the old one and it is a terrible marketing mistake to launch a new one so similar whereas Neswpaper theme is still “New” on theme forest.
The potential customers are not the one who bought the first version but all the other persons who bought 3clicks, X,Enfold,…
A major release with new features would push The theme Newspaper one step ahead. That is exactly the strategy of X which is best seller…thus not as good as newspaper…

Please make sure you disable all other plugins leaving just Visual Composer and the Ubermenu active then empty all cache and purge files if you use any CDN files and try again, do this just to make sure that this isn’t happening due to some other plugins which may be in conflict.
Note that we haven;t made any tests with this so I can guarantee it will work, also keep in mind that the theme has changed in the last months and may be possible that this integration will not work anymore.

The mobile theme is deactivated.
you can see the visual composer plugin settings so that shouldn’t be an issue either.
i don’t work on JS so don’t know if that’s an issue, still.
deactivated all plugins, other than VC and did all that you listed.
no improvement.
i used this theme and the mega menu successfully on another site, so i’m sure nothing wrong in how i create the menu.

I have unistalled all plugins except Speedbooster and Visual Composer but unfortunately i have the same problem. Post titles in homepage turns to bold.
The only custom css i have added is:

You should start by deactivating all plugins, leaving just the Visual Composer plugin active, empty cache, purge files(if you use any CDN plugins) and check for this again.

The mobile menu and the mega menu work based on js and I have found all this errors which could generate this, in your console: http://screencast.com/t/jgtCSvbd
Please make sure you deactivate all plugins including cloudflare and cache you use, leaving just the Visual Composer active and empty all cache then purge files and check this again, also look for errors in the console.
Both mega menu and mobile menu work fine, I have tested this using the latest theme version and found no issues with it.

Man you need to remove the visual composer and then manually upload one again from newspaper 4.5 plugins folder.
Or you can do this,
1. delete visual composer
2. Go to appearance > install plugins and install the new verison.

Using the pagebuilder any Visual Composer element you choose will automatically be placed inside a row so if refer to that row as container then there is no way you can do it without adding your content inside a row.

All should work fine …. Newspaper is designed to work with all “correctly coded” plugins. Or put another way, any plugin which is WP 4.0 compatible should work just fine. Anything not updated for WP 4.0x might have issues, and/or if it’s just badly written. But luckily those suggestions are all doable, you just need to see which one might fit best with what you’re doing. We basically took older iteration of AdRotate and customized for clients with our branding, and some minor tweaks…. we still use it after 4 years? No issues with theme or WP 4.0 since it’s pretty simple stuff. Obviously these systems are designed to go into widget areas or shortcodes in normal WP locations, and maybe not in visual composer shenanigans, or inside the Newspaper ad spots … but that’s the fun to be had đ

The Visual Composer Frontend Editor button was removed from the theme as itâs not compatible with theme blocks.
I think you can leave it if you want, should work with the default elements.

Regarding the CTA button please note that we plan to add a new grid which will support all VC elements so we have this on our todo list and we are working on it. Sorry for the inconvenience. You could try to use a plugin for that until we can provide a fix for this.

In the last version of Visual Composer the classes have changed and some VC elements lost their css, we have this on our todo list and we are working on it unfortunately we still have incompatibility issues regarding VC style.

I encounter three problems :
1/ When aligning a single image on “center” on a page, its stays on the left
2/ When editing a “single image” (visual composer choice), if i select image style “circle”, it wontt do anything. The image stays square
3/ I try to call a web object by an iframe. Works perfectly on my other themes but not with yours. It just shows me on the page [iframe src=”http://www”……” width=”650″ height=”1500″]

The speedbooster plugin moves the style to the bottom of the page so this can be due to this as you probably have some custom css added in theme panel.. or this could be due to a plugin.
Please make sure first that this is due to the speedbooster plugin as this could cause conflicts with other plugins so empty all cache and also purge files if you use CDN, disable all plugins leaving active only the speedbooster plugin and visual composer and check for this again.

And also that you have installed the Visual Composer plugin from the plugins folder within the theme files.
