Hello !

Please try this css code: .td-post-content .tdc-row {
padding-left: 0px;
padding-right: 0px;
}

The codes must be inserted here: https://www.screencast.com/t/fyP7TBVPWvhQ

Thank you !

Well, I guess not because the suggested solution you shared here is:

— Title
— Image
— 100% Text

VS.

— Title
– 50% of Text content
— Image
— the other 50 % of Text content

As for your suggestion CSS to remove the numbering, it maintains spaces instead of aligning the title with the image

Hi,

Yes, you can use tagDiv Composer to adjust the theme width, unfortunately there is no general option for this, but it can be easily achieve, for example on homepage edit it with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/CaDwOxI.png click on row and stretch the layout -> https://i.imgur.com/VkAvQuC.png in you case you need to select it on 1400px after that click in css tab set margin right and left auto and the width you want (1260px) -> https://i.imgur.com/KU163G0.jpg
Also there is one more solution, you can stretch the the row on 1200px and set only margin left and right using “-” for example -30 -> https://i.imgur.com/w0QQ4dq.png -> https://i.imgur.com/s09N1uV.png

Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

Hi,

Using the mobile theme plugin you’ll use a different theme for mobile version, mobile theme is faster then responsive version, but is more simple, in order to make the mixed caption you can use this custom css -> https://i.imgur.com/zISkUNH.png
figcaption a, .wp-caption-text a{
color: #399998;
}

The code need to be set in mobile theme!

Yes, for gossip you need to use an extra class, please try this custom css:
figcaption, .wp-caption-text, .tdb-caption-text {
color: black;
margin: -48px 0 0 20px!important;
padding: 8px 16px;
background: #ffffffcf;
position: absolute;
text-align: center;
}

Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

Hi,

Unfortunately the only option to change that underline color is to use a custom css -> https://i.imgur.com/P2kjs2z.jpg
.td-newsmag-voice .td-pb-span4 .td_block_template_1 .block-title span:after, .td-newsmag-voice .td-pb-span12 .td_block_template_1 .block-title span:after {
background-color: #3f83ff;
}

The above code need to be set in theme panel> custom code> custom css.

Thank you for your understanding!

Thanks Calin! That’s great. In the CSS, I see that you used the Post ID for that individual post (postid-9059). In WordPress, where do I find the postid-(number) for any post? I don’t know where to look.

Second question: Does tagDIV have a tool to help migrate Web content from Newsmag to Newspaper? Just reply with the link to an article, if there is one – I’ll come back if I have any questions.

Thank you

Best regards,
– Steve

Hi Calin,

Thanks for your answer.

1- From this link: https://demo.proteusthemes.com/shaka/portfolio/surfing-for-beginners
This is what I want to achieve: https://imgur.com/HNDUzqS

2- Ah so do I need to type the dots manually?
I thought using some css would create the dots automatically.
That’s ok, I was just curious to know if something in your theme was build for that.

Thank you 🙂

Before I’m doing the update to the new version of your theme.
Once doing the update, will it override the following:
– CSS script which entered into the theme panel?
– Changes made to the .htaccess file?

If so, do you recommend creating child-theme? using yours? what would be the best practice?

Thanks.

We’ve gotten a couple complaints already regarding tablet use on our site georgegammon.com

I forwarded the complaint to my developer and he asked me to reach out to you guys and see what kind of solution is available.

BTW, our tablet traffic is around 5%. Not big, but at scale, this means a huge number of people are having a very bad user experience.

“Thanks for that ipad issue email. I looked into this and noticed that the the website starts getting into responsive mode below 768px only. And I couldn’t find a place where we could update that breakpoint. If we can do that, the website will look decent on Ipads too.

This means just a minute work. So, can you please write to Tagdiv Support and ask if we can define custom breakpoints for responsive modes?

Please also mention that we aren’t planning to write any CSS. We just want to update the current breakpoint i.e. 767 to may be 1000px.”

Thank you… And please do not put “thanks for your understanding” at the end of your message if you don’t have a solution.. As a paying customer that just pisses me off.

I turned Google fonts off in the Theme Panel a while ago and have since cleared cache, but when I check my posts in Google Page Speed Insights, one of the items that is slowing down my site under “Eliminate render-blocking resources” is Google fonts.

When I click on the Google fonts item within the Google Page Speed Insights tool, it brings me to this: https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Serif%3A400%2C400i%2C700%2C700i&ver=5.4.2&display=swap

How do I stop Google fonts from loading? I’m not using any Google fonts on my site that I’m aware of.

Thanks,
Andrew

Hi,

1. I manage to create a new css, please try this one :
.wp-caption-text, .tdb-caption-text {
color: black;
margin: -48px 0 0 20px!important;
padding: 8px 16px;
background: #ffffffcf;
position: absolute;
text-align: center;
}

If there are some pages or posts where is not apply, please provide me a link to them.

2. Also for mobile, if you are using the mobile theme plugin, the code need to be set here -> https://i.imgur.com/W5KEgDe.png please try this custom css
.wp-caption-text, .tdb-caption-text {
color: black;
margin: -48px 0 0 20px!important;
padding: 8px 16px;
background: #ffffffcf;
position: absolute;
text-align: center;
}

Hi,

Yes, you can do that by editing with tagDiv Composer that single post template, after that click on the row that contain the black background and check the css tab -> https://i.imgur.com/NyDSkQB.png

Hi gpantalone,

Unfortunately there is no option for this, the only thing that it can be don is to use some custom css to display the title on two lines or change the initial value, but this is not recommended.

Thank you!

Hi,

2. What I mean was that some of smart list has this option (next prev buttons) and can be adjusted with some css, but this is not possible for all of them.

4. For example the smart lists templates are on this file path -> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/includes/smart_lists/td_smart_list_1.php now there can be add only on per article -> https://i.imgur.com/J1n5Wfy.png this will pick the smart template, the file path for this option is -> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/common/wp_booster/wp-admin/content-metaboxes/td_set_post_settings.php -> https://i.imgur.com/iQWzYYX.png

Thank you!

Unfortunately there is no option for this in our theme, but you can achieve it with a custom css that can be apply only one the posts that you want, for example -> https://i.imgur.com/reUyvOg.png
.postid-9059 .td-post-content .td-a-rec-id-content_inline {
display: none;

hi
I have done as u suggested above.
1) Arrow/Icon issue resolved, it was due to ‘Minify CSS’ option
2) Tried deactivating, deleting all tagdiv plugins.. and then reinstalling, but my issue on ” Not able to edit the Home page with td composer remains same”.

Hi,

Is look that the problem is from on of the plugins that you are using -> https://i.imgur.com/fYZs0dl.png -> https://i.imgur.com/zpEUNiP.png the best way will be to deal with these plugins, another option is to try a custom css like this one:
body.td-animation-stack-type1 .td-animation-stack .entry-thumb, body.td-animation-stack-type1 .post .entry-thumb, body.td-animation-stack-type1 .post img[class*="wp-image-"], body.td-animation-stack-type1 .post a.td-sml-link-to-image>img {
opacity: 1;
}

The code need to be set in theme panel> custom code> custom css.

Hope this will help you!
Thank you!

Hi,

As I know there are users that are using it, but we can not say how is work or provide support for it, this is an untested plugins and we do not know the right settings for it.
Please follow the documentation of WP Rocket: https://docs.wp-rocket.me/article/1266-optimize-css-delivery
Also you can check these topic:
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/score-100100-pagespeed-with-newspaper-wordpress-theme/page/4/

Thank you for your understanding!

Hi,

You can use this custom css for breadcrumbs, category and title -> https://i.imgur.com/juxXAoU.png
.td-crumb-container, .single .td-category, .td-post-title {
margin-bottom: 25px;
}

The name of categories is suggestive for the elements that will be apply.

Using the css will be the best way, because when you’ll update the theme the settings in theme files will not be lost, but if you want the css file for mobile theme is this one -> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/style.css

Thank you!
