2. Do you have Optimise CSS Delivery enabled in whatever caching program you use? Enabling that in WP-Rocket made my social icons completely white out and caused other problems.

If you do have any CSS minify/related settings on, try disabling them and see if it makes a difference.

Hi, How can I hide the author name on grid 1 on the Mobile theme.
Revive.nl. And if use the catergory tag it well not show correctly because I use custom css to make the thumbnail 220 px. heigh

Hi. I’m using custom CSS for the “quote”. Custom CSS is saved in NewsPaper Theme Panel -> Custom CSS (for desktop as well as for mobile).

Design of Quote in Gutenberg editor is similar to the default quote design without my css changes. How to fix it?

With regards to the breadcrumbs issue, I would expect the category level of the breadcrumbs that reads ‘Opinion’ to be clickable in this example:

Is there something I need to update in the admin panel?

And with regards to the images- on the archive listing pages we wanted a 2 column grid. In your template system it would have made sense to use either of the modules M1 to M5 for this sort of layout, however the images always looked really blurry on higher res monitors. When I actually investigated, I could see that module M1 & 2 were generating the crop sizes 324x160px standard & 648x320px retina, and module M3, 4 and 5 were generating 324x235px standard and 648x470px retina crops. A standard 13″ MacBook has a default resolution of 2560×1600, so the 648px retina crop just doesn’t seem large enough for a 2 col grid where the image will need to fill 50% width of the site, even if your overall site container were capped at 70 or 80% of the screen. The only way I have been able to get the images to look sharp on higher res monitors has been to use one of the full width module layouts (in this case M14) and override it’s default layout in the CSS so that the modules actually collapse to a smaller grid. This just doesn’t seem very practical, as I would have preferred the module layouts to work better for all screen sizes ‘out of the box’. Anyway I’m not sure you’ll be able to offer any further assistance for that issue, as obviously the image crop sizes are currently fixed, but if you can advise on the breadcrumb query that would be appreciated.

Thanks, still having issues with the footer as seen here with the copyright info and footer menu not being on the same line. This only occurs on article pages for some reason.

Also, from that Jetpack article it says this “The image CDN looks to the img element’s width and height attributes and the width of the containing element. It will then serve an image resized to the smallest dimensions. If it didn’t resize that image to something smaller, then it’s likely that the 2250 size was the smallest based on those parameters.”

So that means the theme is constraining this element. I don’t have any css constraints for the row or column or image so I am not sure why it thinks the maximum width for this element is 696px. The native image is 1100px x 557px and everything looks fine in the TDComposer but the live version continues to shrink the image. Have you run into this problem before with Jetpack on Newspaper?

Theme is not getting Installed! - topic

I have used the following steps, but the theme is not getting installed properly in my WordPress site!
1. Downloaded the WordPress only file from ThemeForest
2. Uploaded the theme on WordPress through WordPress dashboard

But, it shows the basic version of the theme. Without customization options, without any layout options
its shows Tags: black, white, one-column, two-columns, fixed-layout and no other features in the theme

I tried to upload the complete file from ThemeForest too, it was showing CSS error, and then installation failed.

I am new to WordPress. Please help me!

Hello Mauricio, I figured out after lots of trying things that it’s a combination of settings between the Theme Panel inside WP and the CSS settings inside TD Composer… It’s a bit confusing and I think the Tag Div team should make these things clearer and let us know which is more important… look at the background settings in Theme Panel… hope this helps

Thank is because of this css ->

this css will apply 100% width to all elements that has the link end with 2 and this is the case where are two links with page 2 -> https://i.imgur.com/eW2nARU.png I search for a better css to apply only on first element, but unfortunately I was not able to find a solution, sorry!

Hi,

1. The custom fonts are still working in Newspaper v10.3.3 pleas let me know the implementation you’ve made and some screenshots.
Also the font family will apply on h elements ->https://i.imgur.com/KAVsfeF.jpg but there are h elements that have other elements with a stronger css.
2. There are elements that can be edited from theme panel, but most of theme can be edited with tagDiv Composer and these will have individual settings for example flex blocks -> https://i.imgur.com/2EIKd02.png

3. Please check this similar topic -> Jetpack resizes my images too small, then blows them up to be seen all blurry

Hi,

If you are referring to the above header edited with tagDiv Composer, then this is a cloud header, only cloud templates and pages can be edited with tagDiv Composer.
If you will deactivate the tagDiv Standard Pack plugin, the website will load only the css that is use, this is the difference.

I tried to find files thet holds moobile css footer and latest article title, but i couldn’t find any :)…I can see thet it has custom css area but i can’t find a proper css class for mobile version of Neswspaper.

Did anyone find solution how to stile it? 🙂
