I need to use early access google fonts but do not want to make child-theme.
Because my site manager want to change font for menu/footer/top bar…etc in theme setting, as they don’t know css much.
So is any possible to support early access google fonts? or provide a setting for import google fonts?
https://fonts.google.com/earlyaccess
The font that I will use is Noto Sans TC (Chinese Traditional).

Hi,

1. No, the regeneration is used for older content. Images you upload since the theme has been activated will automatically be used for thumbnails.

I believe the force regenerate plugin will remove older thumbs which are not needed anymore, keep only what is required. All the images are kept in the wordpress media library by default.

2. That would be the lazy loading, images not in view will not be loaded. Once you scroll to them they will be visible
https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-loading-image-effects/
This setting can be disabled if needed, in the theme panel.

3. Such CSS codes can be entered in the theme panel, custom code section

Seems I forgot to mention it above, sorry.

Thanks

This should be made possible! My greatest wish!

Is there no css file where the default font can be changed?

Hi,

Thank you for the answer!

I just need this one:
<?php echo $this->get_category();?>

– but without the link

And as I want to insert it inside like: <div class=”<?php echo $this->get_category();?>”> – it’s not enough to remove the link with css code, because it will be a class of a div.

I have tried this: <?php echo get_category();?> – but did not work

So I just need the PHP code to get the category name only.

Could you please help?

Hello boldix,

Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such an option for this! Do you want to exclude the link for the category? Provide your website URL and what exactly you want to achieve. If you want to remove the link for your category, it is possible to use such a custom CSS code to do this, like pointer-events: none.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

Maybe this is a misunderstanding. What padding do you want to modify exactly? AS Bogdan mentioned the rows have settings to stretch them for a wider layout. That is applicable in page and posts, with the tagDiv composer and cloud library plugin.

If this is not what you wanted to now, some more precise details would be most helpful, also some screenshots if possible (the website is is maintenance at the moment).
Depending on what exactly you want to do, CSS might be a solution.

Thanks

Don’t worry, found a fix. Add this to CSS for anyone else having this issue:

#td-outer-wrap { overflow: visible !important; }

Hi

Just updated to Newspaper 9.

I am looking for help to adjust vertical alignment of author and date fields plus social share buttons on posts.

I also want to add space between the post title and the line with author & date and again before the social share buttons.

Thanks!

Hi,

since I’ve moved my site to another hosting I’m experiencing some issues with fonts on site (centralna.ba). Fonts on site are not the one I choose in theme panel. I tried installing another demo to maybe fix this but it’s all the same no matter what demo I’m using. You can see it here: https://ibb.co/gTxWAp.

I looked at console for errors or some warnings while loading site and I did found this: GET https://fonts.googleapis.com/css 400 (). Could that be the cause of this problem?

I’m guessing if this happened to anyone before so maybe you’re familiar with this issue. Could you please help me so the fonts are applying correctly on my site?

Thanks.

Which CSS could i use to modify the padding ?

Hello,

Unfortunately there is no font shadow option but you can add it through css. Add this code in your theme panel under custom code:

.td_block_big_grid_fl_4 .td-big-grid-post .entry-title a{
text-shadow: 2px 2px red;
}
result: https://www.screencast.com/t/lxXbPNVcSKM
You can change the red color. I added it as an example.

Thanks

Solved it in the meantime, like so
<div class="post-title"><?php echo $td_mod_single->get_title();?><h1 class="entry-title"><?php if (empty(get_field('concertlocatie')) === false): ?><span class='location'><?php echo the_field('concertlocatie'); ?></span><?php endif; ?></h1></div>

with this css added

h1 {display: inline}

.location::before {
content: " - ";
}

so unless there’s another way around this to code it I think this works.

Hello lifemathmoney,

If you want to hide the background-image to your mobile devices you should use the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS Area.

The code is ->

@media (max-width:767px){
.backstretch{
display:none;
}
}

Thanks.

hello,
It is not the theme adding the style mentioned. The implementation comes from another source. We do not have any “broken link” class in our theme that can affect this css.
Your links have a class set to them marking them as a broken link and then the css apllies the strike through.
You can either remove the class of broken_link from your links or use this css to remove the strike-through:

.broken_link, a.broken_link {
text-decoration: none;
}

The code can be added in the theme panel under custom code.

Thanks.

Hi,

You can try using such a custom CSS code to display inline the title and increase the font size to be the same as the default title. This might be a workaround but notice that you should try it yourself because we cannot provide custom work.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello Achal,

This background image is added with such a custom CSS code. Please check this section from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/l2h7OIl41bTm Use the inspector browser from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/ to create your own CSS code.

Thanks for the message!

Hi!

Is there a way to change the background and text color of the content section of my page? I’d like it to be all black and try different text options for the final result, but I can’t change the white part of it. Here’s an image of how it looks right now.

Current webpage appearance

I can’t seem to find any option, but I’d like to know if this is possible without adding additional CSS.

Thanks!

hello,
indeed it gets a css value to remove the pointer events. Please replace the code with this one:

@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-wpml .menu-top-container {
width: 100%!important;
}
.top-header-menu{
display:flex!important;
}
.td-wpml .menu-top-container .wpml-ls-item.menu-item-has-children .sub-menu{
right: auto!important;
left: 0!important;
}
.td-wpml .menu-top-container .wpml-ls-item.menu-item-has-children > a{
pointer-events: all;
}
}

Thanks

Hi I need some help displaying the top menu on mobile devices.

searched the forum and found the following:

@media
(max-width: 767px){
.td-header-top-menu{
display: block;
}
.td-header-sp-top-menu {
display: block !important;
text-align:center

Hello,

I noticed that the theme seems to put a line through the hyperlink on some posts and not on others. See this page: https://www.matsati.com/index.php/how-genes-and-memory-formation-effect-the-battle-between-sin-and-righteousness/

I look at the page source and find the link as follows:

a href=”https://undark.org/article/learning-to-read-the-brains-temporary-records/&#8221; class=”broken link”>Learning to Read the Brain’s Temporary Records</a

When I edit the post and look at the html, the ‘class=”broken link”‘ is not there but is added later. Seems as if the theme is adding this class to the link. How do I use custom css to prevent this from happening?

Thanks for your help,

Duane

Just so you know, I found a solution, with a custom CSS :

.td_quote_on_blocks {
font-family: ‘Garamond’, sans-serif;
font-size: 14px;
line-height: 20px;
font-weight: 400;
font-style: normal ;
text-align: left;
text-transform: none ;
color: black ;
margin-top: 10px;
}
