The category tag color is predefined at the moment, it cannot be changed by a theme setting. It could be with some CSS if needed. Similar topic here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/category-label-appearance-on-block-1/
It’s location may be different depending on type of block. What type of block is that? I could try and give you a code to position it in the left corner of the image, if that is what you mean.
Manually adding the code to the footer.php worked out better. And I think it is a CSS issue – thanks!
Hi,
The menu would be hidden along with the whole header if you use an empty page template for example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/P1iyBJoZMPT
But that will remove the footer as well. Such a dedicated setting does not exist at the moment. I believe there are plans to add more design and functionality settings for the theme headers, in future updates.
I could give you a code, check if it works. It applies only on the homepage and it should remove the menu when not sticky
– https://www.screencast.com/t/zhljPzQFJQNl
And display it when sticky – https://www.screencast.com/t/tQBvtwnW
Give it a try, enter it in Theme panel custom CSS section
.home .td-header-menu-wrap {
display: none;
}
.home .td-header-menu-wrap.td-affix {
display: block;
}
Thanks
Hi,
The top menu is removed on mobile. I could give you a code to make it visible, the result would be something like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/RI1YoMXcI
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-sp-top-menu,
.td-header-top-menu-full {
display: block!important;
text-align:center;
}
.td-social-icon-wrap{
display:none;
}
.menu-top-container {
margin-right: 0;
}
.top-header-menu li a {
margin-right: 12px;
}}
If needed I could modify this code. It can be entered in Theme panel custom CSS section.
Thanks
Hi there
I used the tagdiv composer and created a row. In CSS I selected “hidden”. How do I ‘find’ the row again when I want to change this setting to “show”.
Best regards from Lars
Hello YTGAW,
You can try using the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area.
.td_block_social_counter .td-sp:before{
color:#defc00!important;
}
.td_block_social_counter .td-social-box{
background-color:#474747!important;
}
The result is here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Gk4MVDKSW
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
Maybe something like this – http://prntscr.com/k52cl6
.td-header-style-3 .td-header-sp-logo {
margin: 28px 56px 28px 0!important;
}
Enter the code in Theme panel->Advanced CSS desktop section.
Thanks
Hi,
@Chris There is a theme panel section now that will output the code in the footer, before the HTML body tag
– https://www.screencast.com/t/gaO5riWZo
I believe that is where the code needs to be loaded. Check the page source after adding it, it should appear in the footer, above the closing body tag.
Or manually add it in the file shown above in the main theme file, or in a child theme so you don’t loose it after an update. Either way would load the code. Inspect the page with the browser inspector, see if the Amazon section is there, maybe it is a CSS issue of some kind.
That may not work with the modules, each block uses predefined modules with predefined thumbnail sizes, the design is based on that. Why not use multiple types of blocks for different results, instead of conditioning the same block modules.
I have never tried something like that, can’t say if it would work properly or not, it seems to not work. There are design problems, for example the article titles are not visible for some modules doe to the extra CSS.
Maybe review your modifications if you want to keep using them, or try other modifications. Or simply use different types of blocks, that would be much easier.
Hi,
That would be how CSS works, in cascade. For example in the header menu, the initial background color is white, also the default underline color is the blue color. The settings you made in the theme panel apply over these initial default colors
– https://www.screencast.com/t/10R6rLaE2mEE
So those will be loaded first and then the ones in the theme panel. Depending on website loading speed the effect may be noticeable or not. Try to install a caching plugin if you don’t have one, for better loading speed. We recommend the WP Super Cache.
I could also show you how to remove the initial colors if you should consider that.
Note that this is also somewhat browser dependent, note the difference between loading on Chrome and Firefox.
That block should display an excerpt, like this
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-2/
Check your settings for module 2 – https://www.screencast.com/t/VOeieHDugmfl
Check in the tagDiv composer as well – https://www.screencast.com/t/4tTsRZSXKjQ7
Check if you entered something in the manual excerpt for the posts, that will replace the default excerpts
– https://www.screencast.com/t/2F1VB9qTQC
Is it possible to use a logo larger than the standard 272×90 px? I just purchased Newspaper, tried several Demo Installs, and my wide, landscape-oriented logo looks like crap. Edit the CSS somewhere?
While sharing my homepage link on fb and whatsapp the preview is showings shortcodes like [vc_row_inner css= are displaying instead of meta description
its only on homepage, other pages are working fine.

Hello. I have this problem for a long time and I did my best to solve this problem but I couldn’t. The social icons are not centered vertically so they look bad for me. Can you help? Probably some good CSS will make it look better.

Hey guys, did you manage to get this to work? I’ve been troubleshooting this for days and haven’t been able to get it to work. I’ve even contacted Amazon and they can’t figure out what’s going on either.
I’ve tried (one at a time, obviously):
- Adding the code in the footer, before the ending body tag
- Adding the code to the Javascript box in the admin panel
- Adding the code to the the HTML box in the admin panel
- Clearing the cache
- Using incognito
- Using VPNs from different countries
- Trying with/without link cloaking plugins
The only thing I haven’t been able to test is having it physically within the <footer></footer> tags. See below for what I mean – at the moment, the script isn’t technically within the “footer” although it’s before the </body> tag:
<footer>
Save
<div class="tdw-more-info-text">Write CSS OR LESS and hit save. CTRL + SPACE for auto-complete.</div>
<div class="tdw-resize"></div>
</footer>
From a technical point of view, I don’t see how it would really make a difference, but it’s the only thing that I can think of.
Hello Jode,
First of all, try to make these changes directly from TD Composer and then you should use the Inspector Browser to check the classes and create your own CSS code which has to be added in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area. Notice that all of these involves doing such a custom work and we cannot provide something like this at the moment, sorry! You can check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
If you want to change the font for your sidebar for Block 3, try using the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area.
.td-ss-main-sidebar .td_block_3 .td-module-title a{
font-family:Arial!important;
}
Notice that the font family you display it should be loaded from the Theme panel.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
Use the suggestion provided by a theme user in this topic
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tip-how-to-easily-minify-your-css-without-breaking-your-site/
A minified js will be served by the theme by default.
For moving resources you need a render blocking plugin, such as the speed booster
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Note that the speed booster will be deactivated if it detects plugins that are not part of this list
– https://www.screencast.com/t/TqHrzrA6y
This check could be disabled and the booster will always be active, you can then make check if everything works properly
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tinymce-advanced-and-other-various-disabling-speed-boster/
There would be other render blocking plugins or solutions online, maybe you can also test others.
Check the theme requirements here, we notice that for many users a 256M memory limit is sufficient, if allowed by the hosting
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Use PHP versions up to 7.2 with the theme, 7.1 or so would be best.
Thanks
Hi,
I could give you a code for the discus comments section, something like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/OhiJKssCrTi
Enter it in Theme panel->Custom CSS if you want to use it
#disqus_thread {
padding-left: 15px;
padding-right: 15px;
}
Thanks
Hi,
You can change the font and font properties, experiment with different fonts for example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/PMLwcHq2Ul
You can also color the menu in the theme panel, and set a background color maybe
– https://www.screencast.com/t/93PXYiHkpK
Or if you still need some additional modifications, you could use CSS to make modifications to the header
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
I managed to change the category colours on the homepage with
custom css code:
.td-big-grid-post .td-post-category, .td-post-category{
background-color: rgba(127, 115, 115, 0.46);
}
BUT it does not change the box colours of the blog post category and tag colour.
Is there another custom code I can use?
Also, is it possible to change the background colour without it changing to the grid mode (instead of full width)
Thank you
I’m trying to change the block color but did not have success.
I tried to change this block but could not change all elements.
print screen
I used this at custom CSS:
.teste .td-block-title > *{
color:white!important;
background-color:#8224e3 !important
}
.teste .td-read-more > *{
color:white!important;
background-color:#8224e3 !important
}
Should I keep trying to change each element or there is some way to change everything at once?
If i have to change one by one, how to change the other elements?
Hello;
I want to increase my site performance. After a couple of tests I found out the problematic elements for speed. How can I compress my CSS files without corruption? How else can I get the java script and css code in the footer part? Also how can I compress my HTML files without any corruption?
Note: Although I am changing the server, I am having problems with server response time. On the server the WordPress memory limit seems to be 40 MB and suggested 96 MB. Will this change speed up the system?
Hello,
I just purchased this theme and I keep getting this message when I try to install it…(The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet), so it won’t install the theme.
Thank you in advance for your help!
When Mailster is activated with Newspaper, the dashboard widgets are not moveable. Errors are thrown and some CSS in Mailster is also broken.
When I switch to a different theme, there are no conflict.
Any suggestions on correcting this?

Hi,
What you want to do is to have something like e multiple column sub-menu. It could be done with CSS but it may prove difficult.
A better solution would be to create the menu in a page, a page can be displayed in the menu
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-menu/
So for example you could split a row in 4 columns or any number you want, set title elements for each
– https://www.screencast.com/t/2zA8pFO4tfKp
Next place list menus in each create and select menus
– https://www.screencast.com/t/9QO5FYxm3c5
This could be a solution, you could make some tests.
Thanks
