Hell owillysawa,

We are aware of the issues with the AMP plugin, mainly the inline CSS styles and the important tag usage in the AMP stylesheet. These will be fixed in the coming theme update. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Notice that we cannot say for sure when exactly the new update will be launched because we are working hard to finish it. Most likely, this week will happen.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

Yes that is possible, each row or element can be hidden per device using the tagDiv composer (check the CSS tab)
https://www.screencast.com/t/SWf69YEENVav
https://www.screencast.com/t/JlVJ7kQUb
So select the device you want and in this case hide the row or hero element for it.

Thanks

That worked! Thank you! We had to add to both Mobile and Deskto custom css.

For those reading this thread, here is what worked for us:

“Please check all of the embed codes. As an alternative, add this css code in your theme panel- custom css box to make sure the position stays relatve:”

.instagram-media{
position:relative!important;
}

please i got the following error warning after installing the AMP plugin

op new issues found, ordered by number of affected pages:
The text (CDATA) inside tag ‘style amp-custom’ contains ‘CSS !important’, which is disallowed.

The tag ‘amp-anim’ requires including the ‘amp-anim’ extension JavaScript.

Basically, when you have the post sharing buttons active with Pinterest and also use the Pinterest embed code (in previous post) to highlight pins on your site, it turns your Pinterest social sharing button into the very small Pin button from Pinterest. Likely a CSS class naming conflict or something (guessing).

I don’t have a link to where it’s happening but could set something up in a staging environment and send you a private link.

Hello zirzy,

In order to achieve the best results after you will install the latest update you have to follow some rigorous steps like this -> you have to delete both of your themes, child theme, and main theme. All your customizations from your Newspaper 4 theme will do not work because all the files from this were changed in Newspaper 8 and as the main theme and also you lose all changes.

The Newspaper 8 is a whole new theme so an update from 4 to 8 may cause the same issues as switching to another theme (but we did try to maintain compatibility where ever possible).

Always make a full backup of your current installation – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups and then do a clean update, meaning that we recommend that you delete the old version of the theme before uploading the new one – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ update also the plugins that come bundled with the theme files from the /plugins folder.

The shortcodes have been changed so old ones will not work anymore. Please note that old files customization or custom CSS will not work with the new version and you will have to adjust or re-add them.

Bottom line is that Newspaper 8 is a whole new theme built from scratch.
Unfortunately, you will have to clear your agenda and spare a bit of time to adjust all your settings to the new version of the theme.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thank you for the message!

Thanks for the details shared.
In this process I am having doubt for the css coding moving on speed booster. Can you please give one example to move following CSS code “https://www.irctchelp.in/wp-content/plugins/td-newsletter/style.css?ver=4.9.4”. On the documentation not mentioned any CSS moving screen shot. So please share the same.

Hi,

That is how the default gallery looks, I believe on a default WordPress theme it has indeed some margin between the columns. I could give you a code to add some margin between the images
https://www.screencast.com/t/q2Iekraw
Enter it in Theme panel->Custom CSS

.gallery-columns-2 .gallery-item {
max-width: 45%;
margin-right: 10px;
margin-left: 10px;
}

If you are referring to the theme modal image feature
https://forum.tagdiv.com/modal-window/
That will open all the post images in a modal window, not only the gallery images.

Thanks

“The text inside tag ‘style amp-custom’ contains ‘CSS !important’, which is disallowed.”

I disabled featured Image on my post page. But on the AMP version It shows featured image with other post images.
Here it is – https://goo.gl/WuQTLt

(Top one is the featured image and at the bottom regular post image)

Please help

Hi,

It seems there is no margin bottom set for the ad boxes, there should be a default margin for them. Enter this code in Theme panel->Custom CSS section

.td-a-rec {
margin-bottom: 48px;
}

Remove then empty spaces you entered, the code should provide the same margin for all the ads.

Thanks

Hi,

There are online solutions that you could try to prevent that, like this for example
https://oscarmini.com/2014/02/3-methods-to-disable-right-click-on-a-webpage-css-javascript-and-html.html
Or try a content protection plugin , there are plugins like that.

Sorry for misunderstanding, indeed there seems to be an issue with the related articles section when global block header style 8 is selected. As a quick fix please enter this code in Theme panel->Custom CSS section

.td_block_template_8 .td-related-title a::after {
display: none;
}

Result – https://www.screencast.com/t/THhrlh1F
I will add this on our list and it will be fixed as soon as possible, sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi,

I have inspected the website, at the moment everything seems to work properly
1. The menu is present – https://www.screencast.com/t/sL8Pt9hvKC
https://www.screencast.com/t/En0ueYpFn0

2. That cannot be done, it will lead to a 404 page if you do so, that URL does not exist. The “#” is a link placeholder with properties used by the theme for the mobile menu and search icons.

3. I believe that is the footer, there are options to set a background color in the theme panel
https://www.screencast.com/t/sR0Dllwf
The footer can be disabled in the theme panel for desktop. It will not be displayed on mobile as well.

4. I could give you a code to remove the footer on mobile while displaying it on desktop, if that is what you want. Something like this code entered in Theme panel->Custom code->Advanced CSS in the phones section

.td-footer-wrapper {
display: none;
}

Please let me know if I misunderstood something or you have more questions.

Thanks

Is that really possible? Coz that space is the bottom margin for paragraphs

.td-post-content p {
    margin-bottom: 26px;
}

Unless you don’t want any space below your paragraphs (Which makes everything look like this http://prntscr.com/ijoff5, then you can set the margin to in the code above to zero, which is not recommended coz it will break the layout of all your paragraphs in your website).

Another option might be to use this code

iframe {
    margin-top: -25px;
}

(you can try to adjust the pixel number to the exact space you want while maintaining that negative symbol) but I am not sure if there are other theme elements that use iframe and they might be affected by this code. Maybe you can try to check around after pasting the code into your custom css.

CSS customizations are saved in the database if you saved them in the custom CSS section of the theme panel (assuming you don’t use a child theme). But if you made any custom modifications to theme files, they will be lost when you delete the theme before updating, unless you back them up and upload them afresh to replace the new ones (assuming nothing was modified in those files). But if you use a child theme, you can delete and upload the parent theme without any problems.

I recently updated the theme and enabled the AMP plugin. Yesterday, I got this message on Google Console: “Google systems have detected that some of your AMP pages do not meet our guidelines; therefore these pages are not eligible for AMP-related features in Google Search. The Accelerated Mobile Pages report lists some of these pages”.

See this screenshot: https://ibb.co/btgyLx

And this is AMP test and Google shows this error: https://ibb.co/m5Wtnc

In “Accelerated Mobile Pages > Invalid CSS stylesheet (Critical issue)” it says:

“Fix your stylesheet errors to conform to AMP standards. AMP pages with invalid CSS stylesheets may appear in Google search results without AMP-specific display features.”

This is my site: https://www.tufitech.com

It’s seems like you guys placed “!important” property in AMP CSS, which is apparently not allowed for AMP. What is going on? Please help!

Thank you!
