The black template changes the background for posts from css. There is no setting for this. Each demo has it’s own specific css. If you just want a black background but the post content on a white background, you can change the demo to the default one and set a black background color: https://www.screencast.com/t/3nkOEj3MQgh3

Notice that the video will be automatically resized if you will use an iframe or video playlist. Please check our demos and there you will see the results. An example can be seen here -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_video/ Also, if you want, you can edit your iframe and add through it what kind of video size you want.

I would like to let you know I am really happy with the theme and the extraordinary improvements you made in version 8.7 and 8.8. and thank you. Demo’s are perfect and super efficient to work with. For me no additional css code is needed. Everything is available to create exact the website one prefers. So many possibilities while you managed to keep things simple and efficient in meantime.

Is there a way to edit the default sidebar? I want to change the header title and the posts they show. They are currently “Hot News” and “Most Popular” from the demo template. Can you edit these blocks similar to how you edit the elements in tagdiv composer? or do I need to create a custom sidebar?

There are a couple of blocks that do not display thumbnails by default

For others they could be hidden with CSS as you tried, or the actual modules could be edited and remove the thumbnail from there

Most theme blocks are intended to display thumbnails. Not displaying one may result in the block not having a proper design.
That code you mention should work however for block 11, like this

The ticker works and does not affect the rest of the page, once the shortcode is entered in a column text for example. What exactly is happening for you?
This plugin is not mandatory to be used if you don’t want to. It was considered for demo purposes. You can edit the page and remove all the instances of the ticker and simply not use the plugin.

I did get the plugin to load but not on the homepage. The page was created by the newspaper theme and was one of the demo sites minus content. I could not get the demo to install with content after uploading via ftp it refused to install saying it lacked permission yet when I install it via wp it does not have the same issues.
The issue is NOT with the theme but with the plugin. I thought I had made that very clear, considering the title of the post is the plugin NOT the theme. I also think you failed to pay attention as I have stated that I have uninstalled WordPress and reinstalled it which means its cache no longer exists and I have also reset the server os so again no cache.

I am using the newspaper theme with the crypto news demo.
I want to add the cryptocurrency price ticker widget.

As soon as I activate the plugin and add it somewhere, the entire page gets stuck after loading the header and scattered parts of the site.
Two questions:
1. How do I fix this?
2. In the demo, there are some areas in the homepage that contains a banner “Please install the Cryptocurrency Price Ticker Widget”,
How do I remove those banners once I get the widget to work?

But I’m unable the adjust the footer, neither the logo as the Footer text.
I changed all the Global Medicine logos to my own logos but now change…
Also the Main Menu on Mobile is not showing the assigned menu.

I’m trying to updated an existing site from version 8.1 to 8.8.1 without success. Everything loads fine in v8.1. As soon as I use the new theme none of the posts have any content (td-post-content ist empty).
– I tried to reset everything via theme panel
– I disabled all plugins
– only disabled td-composer
– installed Demo content
Nothing helped.
Last thing I did was enabling wp debug which displays the following error:

I’ve uninstalled/re-installed WordPress a couple times as well as the theme. This error appears no matter if I create a page, edit a page (tried loading one of your demo’s) etc.. Below is the URL given when I click the TD Composer button:
