Hi. This is not a support question but rather a question about some features.
1. I have seen some (or many) users requesting for the theme to have a dynamic width for content (beyond the current 1164px). How hard or easy is it to achieve that (like would it require rewriting the whole theme)? It would be interesting to have something for the content/page width like this.
2. Is it possible to design/add a minimalist demo for the theme? Something like this maybe. It would be interesting to see how a minimalist demo would look for the theme.
Thanks for your answers in advance.
Hey guys, does anyone have the newspaper theme setup only for a one page e.g. blog page on their website? and having the remaining pages using another theme?
I’m having a play around with this, there is a plugin called “multiple themes” which i’ve managed to set this up, and does work, however newspaper needs to be the active theme, and unfortunately i’m getting error messages when I try to edit existing or newly created pages with TD Composer. I also can’t install a demo with content without multiple errors occurring.
Would love to know if anyone else has gotten this working, another option I found would be setting up a multisite network under the same WP installation.

Hello,
I am trying to uninstall the demo attached to my site http://www.cuspmagazine.com and add a different demo from your collection. When I go to the install demo page, I don’t see the uninstall option under the default theme and I can’t install the new theme I want. It only dim’s the screen, but it doesn’t give me the option to change. How do
Hello
I have an online site with the Newspaper theme installed, that I started some years ago with the “local news” demo but I made finally a lot of changes in three years.
Now I would like to change my website look, and I wold like to have another style like the “Recipes” demo.
What happens if I install the demo? It will overwrite my homepage immediately so users will see immediately the new site (with probably some issues like broken links, empty grids and others faluts to be corrected).
And what happens when I will unistall it? It will revert my website to the current status with my actual home, menues, pages, articles ?
What I would like is to have an help to know if it’s possible to create a sort of “test” (staging) enviroment to test the theme demo, to apply some changes, and then if it’s ok go to overwrite the online content with the test one.
Is this possible to do in this way in the theme or I have to manage a third party solution like a plugin or basically I will create another wordpress install importing the old site and then install the new demo, making all the changes, and finally go to overwrite the old site with the new one changing the directories/folders?
Thanks!
This seems to be a major bug. I just tried a totally clean and fresh install to test it out. I created a brand new WordPress install on Siteground. Installed the Yoast Plugin, that’s it. Installed Newspaper 8.6 with demo content. Then installed 8.7.3. Got the blank admin screen issue.
Hello,
There is no menu in the amp pages. Please inspect this template:
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_crypto/td-post-interpol-to-increase-measures-against-btc-laundering/amp/
This is the default amp implementation in our themes. If your theme shows any different, please provide a link to your site so we can inspect it.
Thank you!
Hello,
I have just finished completing my website using the newspaper theme, I thought I had deleted all references and demo content, only ceh when I go to look for my site on the results there is the home page of the site but the first part of the description is a demo text that is part of the demo content, the text is as follows: “The model is talking about booking her latest gig, modeling WordPress underwear in the latest brand Perfectly Fit campaign, which was shot by Lachian …” Where can I find this text to delete it permanently?
Greetings.
Hello,
Yes, you can install the demo with content and then uninstall it as only the dummy data gets removed. Your content will be safe. It is however advised to make a back-up just in case something goes wrong.
Thanks.
Hello,
As a mention, please do not use the content as your own even if you edit the content, if you uninstall the demo, the dummy content gets removed, If you want to keep the homepage of a particular demo, please create a copy of the homepage and use the copy, not the original demo content.
Thank you!
Hello meri,
If you do not want to display the description in that section you should not add this at the top of your smart list, sorry! Please check the smart list 1 from our demo preview here -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/smart-list-style-1/10/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
1. Well, this is the best approach because you cannot install 2 demos at once, or just parts of multiple demos.
2. Please check this playlist from newspaper 8, not 7:https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6CsDkMaejhr2ExZCO73U11SSVKB9r_NE
Please provide the link where you got the newspaper 7 list so we can replace it with the proper playlist.
Thank you!
Thank you. My site is already pretty established and has a lot of content. Will importing the demo content then deleting it be safe even though I already have my own content on the site?
Import the demo you want with content in Newspaper> Install demos. Then edit the page and its blocks with td composer and put your own content. Once done, just delete the demo content (posts, pages, categories and menu content). I am not sure if sidebars will import. If they don’t, you might have to create content for your own sidebars. (I don’t work here).
Hello good afternoon!
I’m a NewsPapper 8 user and I’m having trouble publishing my website just like the demo of the theme. My website is http://www.newsgo.com.br
Could you help me make it like the demo?
I do not see the “Less Images” homepage as an option after importing the default demo content. Where is this available?

Hi there.
I just installed wordpress and activated the newspaper theme.
Now I’m looking at some demo’s by tagdiv and for example I like parts of travel guides template, but also big parts of news magazine.
It might seem like a stupid question, but can I assume that I should best take the layout that I like the most (like the complete layout of news magazine template) and if I want the footer of “travel guides” then I can somehow mix and match that manually to reach exactly the same result ?
And question2: If I link from the admin panel to documentation and I look for the video tutorials, then it links me to a youtube playlist with all NEWSPAPER 7 video’s . The current version is 8. Are these version 7 video’s still usable or have some thing drastically changed and different in 8 ?
Hi Catalin,
thank you for the fast reply, unfortunately this is not working.
Can you tell me what we to change to have block headers like in this demo?

Thank you,
cheers

Hello dominikposch,
I saw that you are using the Travel Demo template which has some custom elements which come by default with the demo. Notice that the style for block titles from your example are the default, without any additional customizations. If you do not like that style, you should check the demo_style.css for travel demo and remove the style for block titles.

Hello nurhandi,
I have inspected your website and I saw that you have a margin-left which is not okay to be there and thatțs why your images are not center aligned. Regarding on full width, please notice that our demo preview display, in the same way, the post content images as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/j54jV3UNw8G3 This is the default theme behaviour.

Hello;
What plugin is used to display cryptocurrency prices on the demo?
Hello Federico,
I have checked your website o AMP online tool and it seems that it is not available for this -> https://search.google.com/test/amp?id=JBS0zukFriaOnJFdwQ_wTw Please enable the AMP plugin, clear all the caches and check the results.
Our AMP example can be seen here -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_crypto/td-post-the-role-of-trading-bots-in-the-cryptocurrency-market/amp/

Hello allenwei,
You should use the inspector browser to identify what kind of font settings are used in demo template. Check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
Thanks for the message!
Hello,
I have checked your website on google page speed and the results is below ->
https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?hl=ro&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.jiujitsutimes.com%2Fgarry-tonon-mom-was-afraid-of-contact-sports-now-she-wants-his-opponents-blood%2F&tab=desktop
Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized. Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services are not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit our requirements.
Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to minify the style.css file and we cannot recommend any plugins with this functionality because is not tested with our theme. For minifying this file, we are using CloudFlare for our demo and works fine. If you want to read other views from our users, please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tip-how-to-easily-minify-your-css-without-breaking-your-site/
One of our top members here on the forum wrote his own optimization tutorial here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/ and here -> https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
Basically, these are the theme requirements

Hello arafat,
Sorry but please notice that effect comes from your customization and not from our theme. Try to purge CDN files if you are using the Cloudflare system, disable the Speed Booster and check again the results. Also, if the problem is still there, you should make a new fresh install to another subdomain for testing and check the results. Also, if you will check our demo preview, you will never see this effect. Also, remove all of the untested plugins if you are using something like this.
Thanks for your understanding!
