Unfortunately that option will not work with our theme. Our modules and blocks use custom made excerpts that are controlled by the theme and you can set their length from the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/O6jTY85NK – https://forum.tagdiv.com/excerpts-introduction/
As an alternative you could use block 12: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-12/ which has a read more button at the bottom.

Block 13 wasn’t designed to work on full width (no sidebar), we have it on our list for the future updates, our initial thought was that the images are too large on 3 columns and the UX is not good.

Unfortunately the theme doesn’t have an option to have a different module for mobile device. The module you set for Latest Articles loop will be used also on mobile.

The theme is constantly tested with Google Structured Data Testing tool and everything seems fine also on your side(screenshot). You may have to wait some time for them to properly scan your post and display the ratings on searches. Google ultimately decides if the post is considered a review and if the rating appears in their searches.

It is true. For the big grids to fill with images faster you need to tinker a bit with the page speed.

Another thing you can try is to disable lazy load from the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/uI82jAjFgqA
Unfortunately, there is only so much you can do to reduce the delay time for the images. If you check our demo, you can see that it has a delay time also on the big grid: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
Another thing you can do is remove the grey background color if you want by using this custom css:

td-big-grid-post .td-module-thumb {
background-color: rgba(229, 229, 229, 0);

Place it in the theme pane;->custom CCS box
