I want to make my top menu bar and footer just like in demo. Stretched according to screen size. currently it is in middle of screen.
We are normally the first to praise TagDiv, however on this occasion we are extremely annoyed with the update of Newspaper, We have never had issues in the past.
The latest update of Newspaper is appalling and has completely destroyed all of my pages I had.
Sliders are now not fitting on the page correctly, all of my news content is in a list now rather than in the areas where they were located.
I have even installed the demo, which has installed exactly the same. nothing works how it used to or how it should.
this JS Composure installs but does nothing?
Why have you released such a major updated that fully effects the ability to use short codes and display content in a way that it did before my website is completely destroyed and we will now be moving away from TagDiv.
Nothing works as it should.
We have used the change log to install the update via FTP, and manually installed visual composure, We have completely removed and installed this from our server and re-installed which further failed.
We have even re-installed the pre-built in demo mode to test update worked which failed.
we have been trying to fix this issue for over 48 hours.
All of these have failed.

The Header file is working fine, just not loading the images.
Currently my images folder is in the same directory as my WP install… http://demo.demofinland.org/images/…still can’t get to it. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. Have tried absolute and relative paths.

Ok, now I got it. I dont know if I can tell the difference but I will try to.
open your demo page in two tabs
the first tab, make it default theme
the second tab, choose fashion style
scrool down the page in both tabs so that the menu can be sticky.
begin to scroll up slowly and pay attention how the two menu will behave.
When you are able to see headers, you can notice that the default menu does not go up(normal) whereas the fashion menu goes at the top of the browser until it reaches a spesific height.
So it’s not a matter of background as you said, but the menu is kind of broken in the fashion style.
I hope I was clear enough to express myself. Is there anything I can do to fix the menu?

Hi Radu, I agree and think WordPress SEO by Yoast is one of the better solutions for to optimize a website and that’s why I’m using it on all my sites. On the screenshots above I use near identical settings for WordPress SEO by Yoast but the outcome is different.
Plus, I don’t think that plugin causes the issues, because even on the Newspaper demo site the description is missing when clicking the Google+ button.
I’d be happy if this issue was looked in to.

@london789 the tagDiv Speed Booster is incompatible only with Rev Slider from our recommended/optional plugins list. https://forum.tagdiv.com/installation/
About the page speed you need to analyze your site using Page speed insights or gmatrix and resolve all the issues reported.
On our demo we use only the Speed Booster + W3 with page cache enable + a good server configuration.

Yes… but those are static ads (in the demo) and not coming from AdSense. Two totally different things.
Graphics hosted on your own site or ad platform which are graphics can resize with responsive layout just like a photo, as that is exactly what it is.
AdSense loads in an iframe or container built by AdSense in the spot where you place the code. You have no control of the boxes being loaded externally from Google, etc., which may contain graphics and text and even video elements.
SO, the demo works differently since those are different ad units based on static graphic files. If you host your own banners locally and load them in those spots, as in the demo, they would behave the same way.
You’re comparing apples to watermelons and not apples to apples.

I know, but in the demo of the theme it works in a different way. In the same windows, the ad resize automatically, whereas in my page If I make bigger the page my ad doesn’t change it.

I have a problem with the pagination of the categories.
I proceeded to create any custom post type.
I duplicated the category page using the slug of category connect to custon post type. Example: category-ricette.php.
Browsing the categories of these fields, the pagination does not work.
Here’s an example:

Another thing: how can I increase the number of items per page in categories?

About an author box at the top of the article can be done by customizing that section via code.
2. I will add LinkedIn share on our todo list for the following updates. Also the theme share can be disabled via Theme panel and you cna use a plugin that contain multiple share networks, like Shareaholic, or Addthis plugin.
3. Make sure you add a link with http://.... this is a corect link not only a www.
4. Yes, you can change the color via CSS, add this CSS in Theme panel -> Custom CSS and change with other color. About an option in Theme panel, we will think about that, thanks for the suggestion.

I am speaking of the log in option at the top right corner (on your demo). When trying to log in it says “please wait” and does nothing. There is nothing you can do to help?

The background is fine, you need to use a larger logo to make the header more bigger, we used there a logo at 600 x 200 px. Here is the logo that we used: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/bg_images/fashion-header.png
I don’t understand you question. The theme functionality is the same, no matter what style you use, fashion or cafe or anything else. If you mean to make a post as Featured, you need to add it in the Featured category.

Great. I saw that. still few problems :/
1.Background image doesn’t fit to the screen as in your demo
is it something to do with “STRETCH BACKGROUND” option? when it is enabled background is empty. nothing shows as the background.
2.Header alignment doesn’t work either

Hi,
The plugin works great if you use only our recommended and compatible plugins. The plugin could cause incompatibility if you use it with other plugins. We use it for our demo and works great.
Try to use it with all plugins disabled and then activate one by one and see which one cause the issue.

What’s up with that?
It’s been doing that since I first purchased the theme, which was 3.0 or 3.1, but I found ways around it and didn’t mention it here.
This is on three different domains ( 2 Demo sites installed for testing this ), same server, no two have the same plugins enabled and I am the sole super admin from WordPress installation in all cases. All are currently running Newspaper 3.8 and WP 3.9.
I can still manage sidebars from the categories layout options in the theme panel but that’s obviously just a work-around for this error.

Make sure you entered the full date and time format code that he shared into the Date custom box, as pictured.

Also, make sure you have reverted any code changes regarding this topic back to defaults so it will show up.
I tested it on my demo by adding in the time format string to the date custom string and it shows on the home page blocks, the sidebar blocks, the category archives and single.php with no other changes needed.

I’ve just created a fresh new install of “WP 3.9 / Newspaper 3.8 with Demo content” on this server.
The problem is the same with the Login Form:
- can Register
- but cannot Login (continus “Please wait…” message)
