Hello all,

I want to create a big grid flex just like the image I have attached, but instead of five columns on the second row, I want only 3.

How can we do that?

Hello
How can I manage to display posts from specific few categories in each module on homepage (for example in Big Grid Flex 1 or Posts Loop)? For example – there are categories A, B, C. In one module I would like to display posts from categories A and B, and in other module I would like to display posts from category C.

Hello Vlad,

I already did that but that is not what I am looking for. For you to figure out what I am requested I will give you a sort of example. Let say I’ve filtered the top 5 most visited post articles and for me to identify that these are the 5 most visited blog post articles, what I did was just tagged them with a tag slug name “most visited”. So those 5 blog post articles now will be displayed using “Flex Block 1” as shown like this:

1.) Post 1 (5 visitors)
2.) Post 2 (9 visitors)
3.) Post 3 (1 visitor)
4.) Post 4 (15 visitors)
5.) Post 5 (2 visitors)

That is good but what if I want these 5 articles sorted in descending order according to their # of visitors (see for example) so the final outcome will be:

1.) Post 4 (15 visitors)
2.) Post 2 (9 visitors)
3.) Post 1 (5 visitors)
4.) Post 5 (2 visitors)
5.) Post 3 (1 visitor)

++++++++++

If the above option is not viable, then what if I want only to display randomly the top 5 most visited post articles, this will happen everytime refreshing the page (other words the display should not be static).

Hope you get it now. Hoping for your positive response.

Thanks!

Hello

¿Are you going to include “image height (percent)” on Flex Block 2 in next upgrades?

¿Is it possible to use VH by css?

Thanks

Hello !

In the filter options you have this options: https://www.screencast.com/t/Zqb9egYFn01 and you can limit your articles number to 10 as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/l9sEOdsvMSK This will only work on flex blocks.

Thank you!

I would like to specify the font size and weight for the article title in a flex block 1. I do not want to specify these on each instance of the flex block as this will be laborious to change later on every instance.

I can set the font family in [theme settings >> Modules and Blocks – Article Title >> General Font] however this does not allow me to set size and weight as this element is specified to be of type ‘general_setting’ (td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/includes/td_config.php:29285).

If I do not wish to override this value on every instance then how should I achieve this? Options I can think of are:
1) edit td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/includes/td_config.php as follows
'modules_general' => array(
'text' => 'General font',
'type' => 'default',
)

But I don’t like this option as it will likely be problematic in the face of updates

2) I could create a new plugin that implements a bespoke implementation of a flex block that uses, say, module_1 for font settings.

3) something else that I haven’t thought of

What would you recommend? Thanks!

Hi Support,

I am using Flex Block 1 and then in the filter tab I’ve filtered the most visited blog post through tag slug and yes it’s working it displayed the top most visited post articles but sad to say it is not displayed either of the ff:

1.) When the page is refreshed then the top 10 listed articles should randomly be displayed
2.) Like to sort the list of top 10 articles according to their number of visits.

For you to figure out, I am using tagDiv blog as an example as shown in the screenshot link..

https://prnt.sc/vp7pzm

Hoping for your immediate response.

Thank you!

The reason why I’m using flex block is because I can enable the unique id feature to eliminate the duplicate posts for page and able to choose the category filter.

Hello

I want to use the Flex Block 2 and use as parameter 100vh in the image height. Unlike the other Flex Blocks, there is no “image height (percent)” parameter. I would appreciate it if you could tell me how to set the vh parameter.

Thanks

Hello !

For what you are looking to achieve it is recommended to use a Post loop element instead of a flex block.

Thank you !

Hi,
I’m trying to figure the best way to create a page that can select the category and able to use the normal numbered pagination altogether.

When I created a page using the Flex Block, I’m not able to have the normal numbered pagination. Can you please show me how I can have that option included in the block. If it need to edit the php file please let me know where I can edit the code.

Thank you

Hi,
This is a mega menu -> https://i.imgur.com/IzBLmuP.png if you like that layout, you can achieve it using tagDiv Composer and flex blocks.
Hope this will help you!

Hi,
Unfortunately for flex elements the excerpt option was no longer set in theme panel, sorry! This option can be get only manually for each flex element in part.
If you want to change the excerpt for all flex blocks, you can do it only from theme files wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/includes/td_config.php -> https://i.imgur.com/Bi5TKc1.png unfortunately those changes will be lost when you’ll update the theme.
Thank you for your understanding!

Greetings, I am using many Flexbox 1’s on my homepage and want to change the default excerpt size for all, without modifying each flexbox individually. I looked in theme settings > excerpts, but couldn’t locate the Flexbox1. Am I missing something? Thanks!

Hi!

I would like to set category tag background colors for each category on homepage under the recent post section (Using flex block 1).

I tried to set the category tag color through these steps:
→ Theme panel → categories → per category setting → category tag color on post page
Each category does has their own unique category tag background color, however, the tag color only applied to the single post page, not category page or recent post on homepage.

I also tried to set the category tag color through:
→ flex block 1 → style → category tag background
However, the same color applied to all categories. There’s no option to set different category tag color based on category.

I have also tried to use the following code:
.category-19 .td-post-category {
background: #3a86ff;
}
It works for the category page, however, the category tag color under the recent post on homepage still not changed.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,
You can create posts that will contain a pizza and how this is make, after that you can display the posts in blocks and grids sorting theme after categories.
I think that you need something similar with those demos:
-> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_recipes/
-> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_gourmet_pro/
If you want to achieve something similar,, then I can help. If is something different, please provide something to understand how you’ll like to be.
Thank you for your understanding!

My system is Overkill. My settings are 4x the recommended with 2 dedicated servers one for http and a separate DB server.
Anyway I deleted everything on the page and started over and it is working.
I did notice that the in the General tab on a bock editor, the excerpt length does not work on the flex block. I adjusted using the functions file to change the default excerpt length on the front page.

Calin

Hi,
Unfortunately, there is no option for that to make the same height all modules, those are adjusted after post title and excerpt dimension (length of words or letters) and these are the only options that can be use to adjust the flex height, now if you are using the excerpt on letters -> https://i.imgur.com/9Uv3ww6.png -> https://i.imgur.com/Ju4TMA3.jpg then the flex blocks height will be most of the time the same, if is set on words, then can appear difference because some words are longer then others.
Thank you for your understanding!

Hi,
If you want to have 3 posts side by side, then you can set the row in 3 columns using tagDiv Composer and in each column set a block filter in the way you like -> https://i.imgur.com/OY7sl06.png -> https://i.imgur.com/LQgrU6h.png
Hope this will help you!

Hello !

That can be done only on flex blocks as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/KsCIy6ZRu

Hello Support,

I am using your Newspaper pro demo, and upon checking the phone viewport the result in Big Grid Flex 2 element layout-block is not displayed in one column instead it appears the images in the horizontal scrollbar. See the screenshot as shared in the link below:

Yes, at the moment there are old posts loaded on the site. For new items the customer knows that he will have to upload optimized images, however we would like a setting as similar as possible to the demo block “flex box 1”, in this block the images (of any size) are cut perfectly.

I have sent the email with the access data to the site for other problem. Please look for the mail with the subject “megamenu problem” of November 16th is the last.

I await good news 🙂
Thanks
