If you want to set a post/article as featured, then yes, you need to set for the category “Featured” -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/ if you want to display in a block, grid only the Featured posts, then filter it using tagDiv Composer after that category -> https://i.imgur.com/ZY19nEb.png also if you have set more categories and you want you can sort the posts after Featured posts -> https://i.imgur.com/mbWCS5Q.png

I guess I am totally confused now. I will read about this but can you first tell me how do I set Articles/Posts to display as Featured Articles? What Category Filter do I need to use? Do I need to create a Featured Category and select Featured in the Category Filter? I just changed the “sort order” in the Flex Block element to Featured and the list changed. How/where these Posts selected to show as Featured Articles?

You can edit the mobile layout using tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/WdjlIo1.jpg select the flex block 1 and set on mobile view -> https://i.imgur.com/M1vO4kh.png then in layout you can set the numbers of modules per row -> https://i.imgur.com/Rnxn6m2.png
Unfortunately the number of posts is global for all view ports. If you want to have only one post on mobile, what you can do is to hide the current flex block on mobile and set another one with only one post, this need to be hide on rest of view ports and display only on mobile -> https://i.imgur.com/sM3qAkk.png, unfortunately this option will increase your page size.
Another option is to try the new option for mobile page -> https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/

1. You will have to first start looking for a plugin conflict. please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again. Also try and reinstall the tagDiv Composer.
2. My personal recommendation is to change all the blocks to flex blocks. They are way more customizable.

it is consist of 4 posting
pc view is perfect.
but mobile, Four posts are placed down.
I want to make the first posting composition screen to be 1 instead of 4 on mobile view.
I don’t want to use the mobile plugin and I want to keep this screen

I noticed several “Flex Block” has “Title tag (SEO)” option. Should I leave it as default (H3, H4) or change it to H1? Is this the title of the block or the title of the article?

Sorry but I can not manage to edit the Top Row in my Home Page (the Flex Block 2 containing the post “Inviting Beachfront Penthouse in CoBe) move the block up so that there is no space between the block and the Header Main Menu. I want it to look like the Home Page of your Home-Black Version</ where there is no space between the Block and Header.

I have a Flex Block 1 in my Newspaper theme that should be temporary invisible. So I go to the tab ‘css’ and set the ‘display’ value to ‘Hidden’ instead of ‘Show’. I must do that for every viewport (desktop, tablet and mobile).
Within a week, the same element should be made visible again. So further in time, I want to click the hidden element again so I can change the CSS ‘display’ value to ‘Show’ again. The only problem is: I can’t find the block in TagDiv Composer again. It’s really invisible. Not faded to indicate that it’s not visible on the frontend anymore, no: totally invisible. In fact, it looks like it’s deleted…
My question is: how can I make that element visible again? Is there a TagDiv setting that show the hidden elements in TagDiv composer?

I’ve just bought the newspaper theme last week and starting to working with it on a development site. I imported the Gourmet Pro Demo and I really like the flexibility of the theme a lot but now I come across a few issues. I
The pages I created (i.e. Contact Page, Woocommerce pages, About us page, …) don’t have the same layout as the rest of the site. Way smaller container width, other font, etc … I was looking for a way to define a general layout for pages with the Cloud Templates but I can’t find a way to do that? Is this possible?
I don’t want to “build” each page individually actually with the TagDiv builder. That would be a hassle. I would like to create a general layout for them so we can just inject the textual content for that page in the layout.
Secondly I would like to create a “single post” layout for a custom post type I created. I would like them to look a bit different thant the single post layout that has been imported by the Gourmet PRO demo. How can I do that?
P.S. I am a developer so I can write code myself 😉 If it’s not possible in the UI but it can be done by code that’s also fine for me!

There are 2 categories:
Cloud library templates
Standard templates.
Everything that is found in Cloud Library templates are fully editable using tagDiv Composer. Flex Blocks are fully editable using tagDIv Composer and. You cannot add author photo on blocks.

Newspaper theme will not affect on post content only on post template.
If your category pages are cloud libray templates you will need to edit the template using tagDiv Composer, right click on the element and press delete.

Unfortunately the filter per entire block/grid, it can not be set only for one module from that block/grid.

I just started using Newspaper version 10.3.7. I’m doing this on my existing website, https://klapptre.is/. I’m an experienced WordPress user so I know my way around a lot of stuff regarding themes and templates. Your template is good in many ways but nevertheless I have multiple questions and points (and might have more later).
Here it is:
Module Names in Theme Panel should be the same as in TagDiv Composer. It’s very confusing now, you are trying to change font sizes or colours and you have no idea where to go and it takes ages to find out – and sometimes you can’t find it.
Where do I remove comment count on category pages?
Same on search template?
Where do I resize Article Headers in Module 2 in Flex Block 4 – for example? Where do I do it with all the other blocks?
How do I change the default on pull quote and block quote in posts from centre align to left align and not capitals?
Why isn’t there a show author photo box in Flex Block 2 as there is in Flex Block 4?
How can I show all the widgets on the front page site wide?

The flex blocks are a new feature which has came this year. Unfortunately we recommend you to only work with flex blocks because the amount of customization exceeds the normal blocks.

If you use this module https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/single/page/Sections/1148 you can display in those flex blocks posts from your website, posts that can be filter by categories.

You can do that by editing the category template with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/QkUtuK0.png add Big grid flex 5 -> https://i.imgur.com/OAXdy70.jpg and in filter tab set the category – current category -> https://i.imgur.com/jow4DAK.jpg also you can use the right click to remove the other element that you have now.

1. If you are using a pro demo that was just installed, then you can disable the standard pack without problems. Pro demos contain only elements from tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud Library.
2. Unfortunately in tagDiv Cloud library the standard blocs do no longer has the same “name”, for example this one is is related to block 11 -> https://i.imgur.com/MMDDXxX.png and a similar block for 22 are those -> https://i.imgur.com/AcyRTDg.png also those flex blocks can be edited using tagDiv composer and has a lot of options.
3. On that list are the elements that can be use when tagDiv Standard pack is enable, if you disable the plugin these will no longer be available, but most of theme can be replace using tagdiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud Library, not all but most of them.
4. If you want to build a site with out standard pack the simple way is to disable the plugin from start and use the elements that remains, but if you want to change an old website with standard pack in cloud templates (pro) it will be some work to do to make it the same.
5. The objective is to can edit the entire website using the frontend editor, there will still be some settings that need to be done from theme panel, but in this way you’ll be able to do almost anything, just select the element and edit it how you want.
6. Unfortunately I do not have access to your screenshots -> https://i.imgur.com/1URXycq.png but I think that you are referring to these elements -> https://i.imgur.com/kyeNF2T.png unfortunately there is no settings for this to be set on the same dimension, these are adjusted after post title and excerpt and these are the only options that can be use to adjust these flex height, now if you are using the excerpt on letters -> https://i.imgur.com/9Uv3ww6.png -> https://i.imgur.com/Ju4TMA3.jpg then the flex blocks height will be most of the time the same, if is set on words, then can appear difference because some words are longer then others.

Flex Block helps me a lot, but I want to ad an extra section at the bottom of a module: I need to display the social icons of an author underneath each post inside a block. This way viewers can go directly to the social media of an author. They can for example click on the Instagram icon and a new window or tab should open with the Instagram page of the author. I will try to copy the specific code for the social icons on the author page to be displayed below each post on the front page and category pages. (Will be tricky!)
