Modules from the modules folder can be modified in a child theme

Create the same directory path to the modules in the child theme as in the main theme, then copy the desired module in the child theme. The flex modules can be modified in the child theme.

Only with modifications to the modules would it be possible for them to display additional information. They can only display what is defined in their coding, for example

The excerpt can be either automatic, picked from the post content and have a length according to the setting

Big grid 3 cannot be stretched. The predefined grids (1->12) will always look the same

There are full width grids which can be stretched (10 types)

Also there are flex grids which have a big amount of customization options

So full width grids and flex grids can be stretched according to the row stretch options. Predefined grids cannot.

Predefined blocks and grids (all except flex blocks and grids) will use predefined thumbnail sizes, cropped by center top. The results will be different according to module used and also affected by the image aspect ratio

With the flex blocks and flex grids you could control the images by some parameters. You could experiment with the flex blocks and grids which have options to manipulate the image

That is not possible with block 15, this block displays two modules when set in a 1/3 column, so maybe consider using a different block which shows one module in that layout.

These are all the theme predefined blocks (26 types)

The second image, the one with composer, there the settings apply only for that flex, and do not take the category from theme panel, that is just a filter to the direct flex block.

If the original size of image do not fit properly in the module/block then the api thumbnail will crop the image.
