Hi, I have two questions about the layout on mobile phones.
1. This page has 2 columns, one on the left and the other on the right and they look good on desktop view. https://snipboard.io/Oi40cm.jpg When I check this page on mobile phones, the 2 columns are vertically arranged, the left column on the top and the right column on the bottom. the problem is that Flex blocks types cannot be used between widgets when composing the sidebar, widgets include only [tagDiv] Block 1..25.

Thanks Anamaria, your response was very informative. I’m starting to understand how it’s supposed to work, but it’s still not working. Here you can see that I have the 300×0 thumb enabled, which is supposed to work for Flex Block 1:

Here you can see that I am using Flex Block 1 for the sidebar and have the image size set to Small – 300×0:

Do you know where Newspaper stores the thumb images? Perhaps I can regenerate them somehow in case they are just missing?

Each thumb that you have enabled, will create a copy of that images. II recommended using the Flex blocks, instead of blocks 1-25; those are from the tagDiv standard pack and can’t be customized as a Flex Block; this plugin loads all the styles even if it is not used;

Thanks for your response Anamaria! We’ve uploaded them at full size. I was under the impression that WP then resizes it into large, medium, thumbnail, etc. The element we’re using in our sidebar is the Flex Block 1, with the Article Image – Image Size set to Small.
i ve created a fresh install of theme with demo content
i need to have specific posts by id on this section only, so decided to use filter by id option

Post ID filter – Use the posts’ ID to filter your block by specific posts. You can get the post ID by accessing WP Admin > Posts section, hover the post title and check the link displayed on the browser left-bottom area. Use the URL to extract the IDs. To exclude posts from a block add a ‘-’ symbol in front of each ID.
in the input “Post ID filter:” i put the id of post ex: 143 but after that the block shown nothing

On the home page I use a Flex Block 1 element to show the first 10 posts.
I use Next Prev ajax buttons to continue to the next/prev posts.
It works fine on the desktop home page but wont work on the mobile home page.
What do I do wrong?

That is weird. I disabled all the plugins using Health Check plugin and only left Cloud Library, Composer, and Mobile Theme enabled. Tested again, but nothing changed. I currently don’t need to display the “time ago” option on single posts and for modules I am using flex builder(it works for this(curious!)). So the issue doesn’t really bother me much. But I don’t know why it doesn’t work for me.
Can it be due to some server misconfiguration on the backend? Like some missing apache module, php extension, etc?

normally, when you make changes in the theme files, they are saved in the child theme.
Also, the subtitle was not displayed on the Flex Block, you will have to make the changes again.
If you want to use the new flex blocks, then you can try to set the subtitle in a custom field.

Hi all-
I run a magazine site and have different article categories displayed on the homepage. I need a “load more” button to allow readers to go to more of the same category. I found the “load more” button settings in the style module of the flex block, but it is not displaying anything no matter what changes I make.
Please help!
Can you tell how I can change the font size of article titles shown in Flex Block 1?
Could that be a global setting somewhere in the template configuration?

Hi, I just updated to last Newspaper release and…all my personal modifications to block modules went missing!
The new flex blocks are really nice, but I cannot find the files to edit and add the subtitle code.

For the moment the theme option for the lazy load doesn’t work on iframes, or embeds.
It is applied only to the featured image elements used on the theme.

I understand, usually on the mobile version the loading is slower because most of the time a mobile device has a slower internet connection.
What I can recommend is that you use flex block elements to use the cache option on the – https://forum.tagdiv.com/use-flex-blocks-cache-option/ and if the problem still persists, you can try using the mobile page template – https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/ using a mobile page template you can adjust the content, set smaller images to be used etc.

Hi,
1.) Enable time ago is not working on Flex block 1 effectively. To get it working, I have to select Show modified date. But I want to use it with published date.
2.) On Single post template, Enable time ago on single post date doesn’t work at all — maybe because there’s no option for modified date.
3.) Lastly, there’s no option to append “ago” or any text to the module date shortcode in newly introduced module builder. I can choose the time ago option from the date format dropdown but it just shows 2 days, 5 months, etc wihtout adding ago. I can understand if it’s due to technical limitations or time constraints as the feature is rather new, but the two above have been there for quite some time.
Please look into it.
I also want to show a taxonomy on the featured image in Flex Loop results (with Doctor Pro Module), like this one https://snipboard.io/kZiubT.jpg Is it possible? The other two modules (module 1 and 2) have this feature but I can’t show the reviews for some reason.
I installed the 12.4 update and went to module builder and it was empty. When I clicked ‘import(+)’, there was only Blank Module available. Nothing to import. Please tell me how to import the current module (i.e., Doctoc Pro Module) and modify.
Another question is how to apply the new module after I create one. I created a blank module to test but didn’t see it when I edited Flex Loop. There were still the previous modules (Doctor Pro module, Module 1 and 2) and no place to import the new module.
Basically my goal is to make some changes to Doctor Pro Module: show the location taxonomy; change the price sign to a language sign and show language taxonomy. These taxonomies were created with a new CPT ‘vendors’ so I think that’s why they didn’t show up in the doctor pro module. https://snipboard.io/BfJjAo.jpg
