Hi,
So I believe you are referring to these – https://www.screencast.com/t/8ohvXT7adP
Those are supposed to be there. However not all the footer templates display the same content, choose a different template
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Or design a page and use that in the footer, instated of a template
– https://www.screencast.com/t/7NJCJyutBA
Thanks
i found out that the color only doesnt change on the BLOCK HEADER 4 all other block header do accept the color i give them…
https://prnt.sc/kozpfr
might this be hard coded somewhere for the footer? as Block Header 4 is used in some of the normal footer templates? just an idea..
thanks
Hello SPAREGmbH,
Here is talking about a predefined template for the Footer section. If you want to have more control over that section, you can try using the Footer page functionality or Footer template style 5 which allows you to add any element you want from Widgets section and change from there the colors. Check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
If you want to add a custom element to the footer, you can simply use a footer page. Basically you create your footer exactly as you want it in the tagdiv composer and the set it as a footer like so: https://www.screencast.com/t/jkBrNq4Xs
There are also footer templates you can import directly into the tagdiv composer by pressing the load template button and then selecting a pre-made footer template you can then edit and add your counter to. https://www.screencast.com/t/wz00tE0kS
Thank you!
Hello,
I just discovered the beauties of your cloud templates, there is one that fits my needs better than the default one but I cannot set it up as the demo. The one I choose is “404 template 11” and I would like to have it full screen, the image covering from left to right and no header and footer.
Inspecting the css so far I managed to hide the header adding this css code to the child-theme css stylesheet:
.error404 .td-header-wrap {
display: none;
}
Thanks.
Hello aresglez,
Please check more deeply this documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/ Also, ensure that your system status parameters are correctly increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ purge CDN files and check the results. Also, please notice that you can try using the Footer Page functionality from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/wnDKaeyGqQj
Thanks for your understanding!
The footer template imported is not appearing in that section. Just seen it in the pages section. It seems it took a while to appear after importing coz I checked even the pages section before posting the question. So I think some templates either appear in the cloud templates section or in the pages section.
Hi,
– Those issues could be caused by insufficient resources, the theme has some requirements. If there aren’t sufficient resources for example, there could be problems
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
It is very important that everything is set as mentioned in the guide, WP memory can be set higher if possible. Usually the hoisting provider can take care of the modifications where needed.
– The Revolution slider is a demanding plugin, the cause for it not appearing could be related. Once it is placed in a page and the page is saved and viewed, the slider should appear (it will not load in the page edit screen)
– Some footer templates come with predefined content, some are empty. Choose the one you want to use in the theme panel
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
You can also use the Cloud footer templates – http://prntscr.com/kkpat9
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
– The header will be the same in the whole website, not by page. It will be displayed as you configure it. The unique things about each page is it’s content and the page template
– https://www.screencast.com/t/XplVPginyw
– For previewing posts on difference view ports there would be no tool at the moment. Pages can be previewed in the composer, but posts don’t have such an option.
– AMP posts will be served by Google only, they are accessible through Google search. If the user does not visit the website from there, the mobile theme variant will be displayed if active. So they can be both active at the same time mobile theme and AMP.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi. Where are footer templates from the cloud library imported to? I imported a test one and I cannot find it. I want to delete it. Tried checking pages and cloud templates section but found nothing. Only seeing it from the footer page dropdown.
Where can I see/test the new 24 footers?
In my theme panel, I can still only see 14 footer templates.
You mention 24 new footer templates in Newspaper 9. Where exactly do you find those?
Hi,
1. I have inspected the website, for me the latest articles appear on desktop and mobile
– https://www.screencast.com/t/jGtdQgaR
2. That will be the case, you are using the mobile theme plugin. You can read more about the plugin and how it works here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The plugin is optional, so if you want the same page content that appears on desktop, to appear on mobile, deactivate the plugin.
3. The About us is part of the predefined footer content, in the footer template you are using. It will display text entered here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/bAW2bRkvXh
You can select other footer templates that do not display this section
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
There are templates with predefined content, this cannot be removed, but there are also empty templates, there you can enter any widgets you want.
Thanks
Hello khalil,
The latest news section at your website is part of Pagebuilder+Latest Articles+Pagination, area which cannot be edited from TD Composer. Also, the Editor Pick is part of your Footer section which also, cannot be edited by the page builder. We recommend using a default template as the page template and for the Footer section, you should use a Footer Page functionality, a page which can customize it with TD Composer.
Check our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-page-templates/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the message!
Hi guys, hope you’re all well.
We created a footer page using your most excellent cloud templates, and we’re perfectly happy with it. The problem is that it doesn’t seem to play happily with bbPress pages.
If we insert bbPress shortcodes into a page created with TD Composer, it works fine (see link, for our draft forum homepage):
http://compareallvans.co.uk/forum
However, when bbPress creates its own pages for individual topics and threads, the formatting goes a bit crazy and the footer page simply displays a lot of code:
http://compareallvans.co.uk/forums/forum/new-and-news/
Have tried deactivating everything but problem remains. Only happens with a cloud template footer page – if we use a normal widgeted footer, it works fine.
Any suggestions?
stuart
PS: If you could add bbPress templates to your future cloud template plans, that would be fabulous đ
Hi,
You can edit the page with the tagDiv composer, add/modify/remove elements as needed
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial-2/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-block-settings-tutorial/
Widgets can be modified in Appearance->Widgets. Maybe you are referring to the editor picks in the footer? There are footer templates with predefined content, also there are empty templates
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-footer-templates-2/
If you need help with something specific, mention what exactly that is and where it is located. A link to your website would also help if possible.
Thanks
Hi,
Those would be footer templates with predefined content. There are also empty footer templates you can select
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
So you can enter your own widgets in the footer columns.
Thanks
Hello,
If your footer content comes from predefined data, you can only change the footer template and then use the 3 footer widgets to add content to the footer and have access to the block settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Thank you!
Hi,
The default footer templates have a maximum of 3 columns. To achieve a 4 column layout you will have to create a page with the elements you want and also the layout you want. The tagDiv composer allows a 4 column split. Then set that page as footer page
– https://www.screencast.com/t/7zxKdeNoA8aS
Example of some demos that use footer pages
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_showcase/
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_law_firm/
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_dentist/
Thanks
Hello,
Please check this guide to learn about the footer predefined data:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Thank you!
Hello Catalin,
Honestly when you say “thank you for your understanding” I dont quite understand given that I payed for the product and you recommended me WPML ( which I payed for it too ).
So when you tell me that “we cannot say for sure if this will be or not solved” I’m not so happy to hear that. Widgets are base components and should work as well as the base widgets included in WordPress.Given that I paid for a product I dont want to spend my own time fixing it.
Look, News mag is good and love it, only I want to know how make it work with different translations. I almost have it all done, only the parts that involve the theme panel settings I don’t know how to make it work (If I had found a way to share the full media library between wordpress sites without too much tweaking I would not bothered using the WPML plugin. )
I didn’t understand the TD composer part you said ( point 2). I already created a SideBar for every main page for every language. That worked because there is a page for every language.
** But for example, for the general post settings or the general category, those that are in the theme panel, I only can assign one sidebar for all, and it didn’t take in consideration the language. That means that there isn’t one config per language
( theme panel > template settings > blog and posts templates > custom sidebar + position )
Also, there are another settings I can’t find how to translate, those are the same no matter which language is selected: (footer > footer info content > )
– Footer text
– Footer copyright text
Thanks for your help and understanding
Hello,
For page content elements, you can use the tagdiv composer ( https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/)
The latest articles section is controled from the post loop settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
The footer content is different as there are footer templates that provide predefined content. In order to change this content, you will have to use an empty footer template and place widgets in the footer section by using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Than you!
Hi,
In Appearance->Widgets you can add widgets to the footer sections
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
If you want to display an image in the footer add an image widget for example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/wC29uho2
Thanks
Thank you for that! Unfortunately, after setting the author template as the default from the cloud templates, the author page only displays the header and the footer of the page, no articles or other content, including the author profile.
Is there something else that I’m missing?
Hi,
A privacy page link can be displayed in the footer for example, visible on the whole website
– https://www.screencast.com/t/eC5KIrpF
If you want to display it at the end of the post content, you could edit a predefined post template or design your own
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
As of theme update 8.8 you can now design post templates, so adding something after the post content would be possible.
In the middle of the post content it is not possible, unless maybe you use the inline ad spot and try to enter the required code there. Or entering it directly in the post when creating it.
Thanks
Hi,
That would depend where you would like to do that. A general theme setting for width is not available. There are full width elements to be placed in pages
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/ (10 types of full width grids)
Rows in pages can be stretched – https://www.screencast.com/t/LjPxJ1iLIIz
Header and Footer elements – https://www.screencast.com/t/HgtsNIs1
Also now with the new Cloud library plugin together with the tagDiv composer, you can design or import post templates
– https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-8-8-update-what-s-new/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
But a general width setting for the whole website does not exist, there are more individual settings to be used for width.
Thanks
