I have set up a Revolution Slider with a “before-after” effect. The slider and the effect work perfectly in the backend and in the preview. I need this slider to be just below my header logo.

The slider shows ok at the top of the page, but the before-after cursor cannot be commanded. The mouse will not change and grab the arrows. However, when the very same slider is put lower in the body of the page, everything works fine.

p.s. Please note there is some custom CSS in the theme panel, as direct by your support, as a workaround for a different issue with the Ken Burns effect.

I use the Easy Digital Downloads plugin. I have added the following code snippet to my site to exclude the downloads post type from search:

function pw_edd_hide_from_search( $args ) {
$args['exclude_from_search'] = true;
return $args;
}
add_filter( 'edd_download_post_type_args', 'pw_edd_hide_from_search' );

But, when I use the Newspaper theme’s “Header Live Search” shortcode, the excluded results are displayed in the live search results box.
How can I hide them?

When we are on our mobile site, the spy glass for search goes to the footer when you click on it. Is there anyway to fix search on mobile without having to either use the mobile plug-in or rebuild all pages for mobile? I would hope there would be an easy fix since the header search bar works on desktop.

The Newspaper theme has a really great header design. Unfortunately, with Google changing its algorithm to include Core Web Vitals in May 2021, this will penalize sites with Content Layout Shift (CLS). Is there a way to keep the header static when a user scrolls through the page (both on desktop and mobile).

Hi, unusual situation.
I made changes to an post layout, via tagDiv composer. The post layout already existed, I just made a change in the margin.
I saved my changes and while saving (or shortly thereafter) my connection was lost.
When I updated the layout edit page, it was all gone. I mean the whole post layout. Only the header and footer are left.
I point out this problem because it could be a serious problem for those who use the tagDiv composer.

I understand that it is impossible to retrieve the page, but perhaps the saving system din tagDiv composer should be fixed.

PS. the “Undo” arrow is not selectable, to restore the previous version to my changes.

I’m using the Gossip template to create a sticky mobile header. Everything appears to work correctly, but when I switch my phone to landscape mode, I see the customizations I made, but also the remains of the Gossip template. I can’t figure out why this is the case.

Hi, I would like to try to decrease the page rendering time.
It would be ideal to convert newspaper.woff font icons to svg.

Earlier I pointed out that the woff file could be converted to woff2, losing about 50% of the size.

Now I would like to ask if you can evaluate the possibility of converting all the icons in the svg format, or maybe just some icons such as those of the hamburger menu and of the search, usually immediately displayed on mobile devices.

I only use 2 icons for the header, the arrows icons and the icons (in the posts) for sharing on social networks. Loading 100kb of woff fonts seems excessive to me (especially on mobile).

Currently it seems to me there is the possibility to use the svg format only for the logo. I’m using it, and it helps the page rendering speed.
