If the problem is in the header.php just download the theme files and replace this file.
But how did ads started appearing in your site if you didn’t place the code yourself?

Hi bobbymc
I don’t know if this will work for you, but I removed the code from header.php altogether.
Then in my adsense account under Ad Units I created ads with specific size etc.
Each ad unit gives you a code which I used in the Theme panel and created ads according to the Newspaper documentation.
After 1 or 2 days ads started showing on my site.
After days of searching I still haven’t found any specific answer from google or the net if this header code is essential but ads are showing so I stopped searching.
I made the foolish mistake of activating Google Auto Ads not knowing that they would start popping up on my header ruining the otherwise beautiful theme.
Fortunately they’ve stopped appearing after I disable it on the Adsense sight but I’m still worried others might be seeing them which would be bad for business.
When I “view page source” in Chrome I see the code on the page (https://brandinginasia.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/Screen-Shot-2018-09-08-at-1.54.15-AM.png) but when I try to find the script in the editor I can’t locate it – so I can remove it.
Any suggestions?
Secondly, I see “adsbygoogle” in so many places in the theme. Is this a problem I should be woried about? See image: https://brandinginasia.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/Screen-Shot-2018-09-08-at-2.16.13-AM.png
Thanks as always guys.
Hi Simion,
The customer simply wants a header like this: https://nrc.nl
So a narrow band with the logo, and below that a narrow band with the menu, separated by black lines.
There should be no space for an ad. Despite the code, the header stays rather high when you opt for header style 1. Is this also because of the height of the menu? Can this be adjusted with code too?
How can we achieve this?
I’ve emailed a screenshot.
Regards, Martin
Thanks but just to be sure want to tell you that this only happens if I click on the top header menu-Edit with TD Composer. I do not expereince this issue if I do it from the page or post.
Hi,
Each theme has its own elements and design and the theme used on that site it is not ours.
So no matter what demo you import, you will not have the same layout.
I can only suggest to check our live demo and import the demo you like more. Or if you have already content on your site, just try to create your homepage using tagdiv blocks – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
Also we have a similar header template for block title – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-header-11/
Thanks!
Hi,
Without the header ad header style 1 will look like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/wRSb9GTtP
With the margins removed from the logo the total height will reduce
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ureorrAk
So maybe this is what you wanted, the code can be entered in Theme panel->Custom CSS
.td-header-style-1 .td-header-sp-logo {
margin: 0;
}
Thanks
Hi,
There is a small margin bottom below the logo, 9px to be more exact
– https://www.screencast.com/t/gUus1ZdHMbx
Removing that margin bottom and increasing the top margin result:
– https://www.screencast.com/t/nlQy4DdY
Code used (works for header style 1)
.td-header-style-1 .td-header-sp-logo {
margin: 37px 28px 0px;
}
I could take a look if this doesn’t work, for a more accurate and faster solution. If possible post a link to the website.
Thanks
Hi,
@Seashore The header styles are predefined, they look like this
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/
Can’t have a template for every example out there. Simple modifications can be possible with CSS.
Provide a link to your website and I will take a look and try to center the menu if that is what you want.
Thanks
The lifestyle demo does indeed set some colors in it’s stylesheet
– https://www.screencast.com/t/XmWp56JdhCYI
This may prevent theme panel colors from applying. All the demos contain customization, more or less. You can modify the demo stylesheet if needed, then make a backup of it.
What colors are you referring to exactly? For example the header menu underline is made transparent in the demo here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/hzFjBDXs
This header customization is linked to a specific header style most of the time. As long as header style 1 is used the demo modifications will apply for the header.
Hi!
I uploaded all the logo’s in the recommended size. But for me the logo is taking way too much space in the header.
I prefer using Style 7, only that the logo is using the same height as the rest of the menu row (or at least around the same amount of height/space). So with this, I also get more space for menu buttons, before they fall of to the next row.
I checked lots of other topics around the same issue, but could not find a suitable fix for me.
So could you please help me out. To make myself more clear, you can check this image:
Thanks!
Hi,
What header style are you using? With CSS that could be possible. An alternative would be header file modifications.
The ad space in the header is reserved, not displaying an ad will not re-arrange all the other header elements.
The ads will display differently depending on style used
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/
Please mention the header style or provide a link to your website and details about how you want it to look.
Thanks
Hi,
The header styles mentioned above don’t have any limits for the image used
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/
Any size can be used. The website you mention uses a video on a loop in the header
– https://www.screencast.com/t/WOBzseXK
That will work in the theme ad spots, not as a logo.
The height will depend on the image you use as logo, it will adapt to it. The header could be modified with some CSS if required.
That is possible. There are even tools to choose the colors
– https://www.w3schools.com/colors/colors_picker.asp
Maybe choose a color similar to the block headers for example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/YJ78QpVD
You could also experiment with shadows, there are plenty of generators available
– https://html-css-js.com/css/generator/box-shadow/
– https://www.screencast.com/t/nibOPkNb
A small guide here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
Got it! Thanks

Hi,
I’d like the header to be narrow, only a little higher than the logo. I like header style 1 (to try to mimick the header as seen on https://nrc.nl), but without the add space. And how can I align the logo with the menu -the logo is somewhat offset now.
Regards,
Martin.
Hi,
I added this code in the custom css area to add the logo in the top bar, but nothing happens. I’d like to get this header result, like you see on this newspaper website: https://nrc.nl.
Any other solution for this?
Regards,
Martin.
Hi,
I don’t want to use a banner add on my navbar and just want my logo and menu items on the same navbar, when I disable the banner add however, there is a blank white space above the navbar where the banner was meant to be. Is there anyway I can remove this without a need for CSS to override it so that the space does not appear at all before it’s overwritten?
Also, how can I increase the height of the header? I need a 300px height header cover.
Hi,
The theme accent color can be set in the theme panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/LrNgQWUa
The color set there will be used in multiple places, including the header underlines you mention, various hovers etc.
In the case of links, if you set a color for them as you create them
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ZZpyimkpOVsH
Then that will be used instead of the accent color. If you want to change them all at once, in the post content for example, without modifying the accent color, you could use some CSS
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-change-link-color/
Some demos can override theme panel colors, by setting them in the demo stylesheet. if you have any problems with a color somewhere, provide a link to that page and details.
Thanks
Hi,
I believe you installed the wildlife demo, that one has a button like that
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_wildlife/
But you can remove it, it is simply for demo purposes. The theme provides at the moment three multipurpose header styles
– https://www.screencast.com/t/TctndJZetIH
With these styles you can set up to two buttons in the header. In this case one has been set by the demo. You can remove it in the multipurpose settings in the theme panel
– https://www.screencast.com/t/CLqTY4E3q
Please let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
1. You should not worry about validators. If there are actual functionality or design problems please mention them so we can investigate.
What exactly is messed up in the page? Could you provide a link to it so we can take a look? That will be most helpful. Or maybe screenshots and details about the problems.
2. Again a link will be most helpful. You mean it pushes the header or header menu down and it remains there?
3. Maybe that is a setting in the slider. Do you use a demo slider or created a new one? This topic contains a list of all the demo sliders which can be imported in the plugin
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/reproduce-a-specific-appearance/
When imported they will look as we designed them, the same settings should be imported.
Thanks
Hi,
I believe there are plans to improve and extend the header options in a coming update. This will allow greater possibilities for designing a header. I can’t say how long before this will happen unfortunately.
Thank you for the suggestions, they are noted.
I’ve tried to for an hour what I would think should be easy…
1. I want to make the background area of the header section pure black.
2. I want a full size header graphic which is 150 x 800 to show up but I just get a small logo size.
I wanted to attach a photo but don’t see how to do it here.
Your help is most appreciated!
I don’t understand why everything works great (the accent color is applied everywhere) when editing the site in WordPress ‘Appearance/Customize’. But on the live site, things like header underlines, tag backgrounds, hover colors, and selected menu items all have the default theme color.
