Hi Team,

We were reviewing the homepage of our site (https://www.electronicsforu.com/) and noticed that the <h1> tag is being applied to the site logo.

Could you please help me understand:

Why is the logo wrapped in an <h1> tag?

Is this being done by the theme or a plugin (e.g., header builder)?

What’s the best way to change this, so the <h1> tag is used for the main page heading instead of the logo?

From an SEO perspective, the <h1> should ideally be used for the primary heading of the page content, not the logo. Or is it normal?

Looking forward to your guidance on how to fix this.

Hi!
I’m planning to update the Newspaper theme on my site, but I have a lot of custom code implemented. What’s the best and safest way to update the theme without breaking or losing these customizations?

Also, I want to add a second language version of the site. Right now the site is in Russian, and I’d like to manually add a Kazakh version of the homepage and selected posts using Polylang.

Are there any best practices I should follow to make sure everything works smoothly with the theme and doesn’t break anything?

I couldn’t find detailed guidance online for my specific case, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I have Flex Block 1 elements for multiple categories on my homepage as previews for each section of our newspaper.

If I have Posts that are in both in the Multimedia and News categories, for example, I’d like to make sure that the Flex Block 1 shows all Multimedia posts but excludes any that are also tagged as News to avoid duplicates.

Is there a way to filter posts in flex blocks so that it shows all posts of the category but exclude posts of another specified category?

Thank you!

Hi,

Disabling author archive in Yoast SEO settings will disable author page. In this case, clicking on author name will redirect the user to the site homepage.

Thank you!

Hello,

I’m working on a news website using the Newspaper theme (tagDiv). My goal is to create a homepage layout that behaves like this:

At the top, I want a large featured news area (could be a slider or big grid).

Right below it, I want several small news items displayed as boxes or thumbnails.

When a visitor clicks on any of those small boxes, the big area above should update and display the content (image + title) of the clicked item — similar to an interactive slider or a tabbed news showcase.

I tried using some modules, but I couldn’t achieve this interaction. Could you please tell me:

Which Cloud Template or module combination would allow this?

Or do I need to use custom JavaScript / tagDiv Composer tricks?

Thank you!

Hi Guys,

We’re migrating servers and we’ve just migrated everything to our staging/temp domain but main homepage images have been set to ‘blank’. Also article images have been set to blank. Strangely, the article title is also ‘Sample Page Title’ and we’re not quite sure why?

Live domain: https://dorseteye.com/
Staging/test site: https://dorseteye-u47296.vm.elestio.app/

Example article:
https://dorseteye-u47296.vm.elestio.app/dorset-man-among-victims-of-air-india-flight-ai171/
https://dorseteye.com/dorset-man-among-victims-of-air-india-flight-ai171/

Cleared cache and updated everything. Have disabled WP-Rocket.

I was going to use a regenerate thumbnails plugin but we have allot of images so I wanted to ask here first.

Thanks

Thank you very much for your advice. I followed it, re-downloaded the theme from Themeforest, installed it, and everything is working fine except for one detail: I see the words ‘Tag Div Composer Draft’ on the homepage and I can’t figure out how to remove them. How can I do it? Thank you very much

Hi,
Use tagDiv Composer, edit the homepage and scroll down to the footer and select that copy right text and just replace it – https://i.imgur.com/UEP5R9j.png
Thank you!

Hi Ari,

1. You need to use tagDiv Composer edit the homepage and select the logo from header, then select the svg tab and remove the code from there – https://i.imgur.com/zkR1mV6.png this operation is need to be done on all header logos you are using (header, footer, sticky header, mobile header) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/add-logo-newspaper/
2. From blocks it can be removed globally using the theme panel settings from Theme panel > blocks settings > meta info on modules/blocks – https://i.imgur.com/daSq2MT.png and for removing it from articles use tagdiv Composer to edit the single post template, and use the right click on element you want to delete – https://i.imgur.com/rl6q5O2.pnghttps://i.imgur.com/GTJmGPV.png
3. Unfortunately the element for the location is not working like that to display for each user the location where he/she is accessing the website, sorry!

Thank you!

Hello,

Currently I have my homepage stories shown as randomized. How do I change the setting to the latest posts?

Hi Calin,

Thanks for the response. The website is https://regioonline.nl. It uses most cloud templates (but not everything), and has about 70 subpages. 62 of them have about the same layout as the homepage.

Query Monitor shows at Queries per component for td-composer

Plugin: td-composer 10 (SELECT) – 1 (SHOW) – 0 (UPDATE) – 3 (INSERT) – 0,0061 (TIME)

That seems not to be a lot. The plugin WP Media Folder however has 457 (SELECT) queries.

If you need more info or access please let me know

I need to create a section on my homepage that looks exactly like the “DON’T MISS” section in this picture, but I want to insert my own shortcode inside it.
How can I create a section that matches the site’s style but contains my custom code?
All the preformatted “Big Flex” or “Flex Block” sections already have fixed content and I can’t modify them.

Hi,
Ok, so the first step is made, the plugin that consume the most resources is tagDiv Composer, can you please check in Query Monitor for example on homepage what are the elements that consume more resources and are from the composer plugin? Can you provide a link to your website?
Thank you!

Hi,
Ok, it appears that the website is blocked for a part of countries, so I us a VPN to check it out.
Now, I see that on homepage you have a different header, so I believe that maybe one of the theme plugins is no longer installed? Please go to Newspaper plugins and make sure that you have installed and activate the tagDiv Composer, tagDiv Cloud Library and tagDiv Standard Pack (I believe that you do not have the standard pack that brings the old templates).
Thank you!

Hello tagDiv Team,

I’m using the Newspaper theme version 12.7.1 and am currently designing my site’s homepage with tagDiv Composer. In one of the main blocks on the homepage, I’m using Flex Block 1 to display recent catalogs in a grid format.

In the block settings, I have selected the option:

“Show additional text before the date.”

However, no field is displayed for entering custom text (for example, “Updated:”), and currently the date appears alone.

My intention is for the word “Updated:” to appear before the date in all Flex Block 1 modules automatically, without having to manually edit each post.

Is there a way to enable this text from the translation or global theme settings, without using a child theme?
Or should I modify a specific file to make this option work properly?

I would greatly appreciate your guidance. I’ve attached screenshots with the exact block configuration.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,
Jhonny

👋 Hello tagDiv team & community,
I’m currently building my personal digital magazine site using Newspaper Theme 12 and I’ve run into a strange layout issue that I can’t seem to resolve on my own. I’d really appreciate any help or insight you can offer!

🔍 The Issue:
The footer and content on post pages appears misaligned to the left side — but only on:

Category pages

Single post pages

It renders perfectly fine and centered on:

The homepage

Custom static pages (like “Privacy Policy” “Join Syaz+,” etc.)

🧪 What I’ve Tried:
Zeroed out margin/padding via tagDiv Composer

Checked all footer row/column settings (full width, centered content, etc.)

Applied custom CSS (example below), but this affects global layout and causes issues elsewhere

Inspected with dev tools — the td-container inside .td-footer-wrapper seems to shift left on posts/categories

You may view the issues when visiting my site on an actual mobile phone, weird thing is: the issues doesn’t show up on the tagDiv Composer’s mobile view.

🌐 My Website:
https://syaz.co

⚙️ Theme Version & Setup:
Theme: Newspaper 12

Composer: tagDiv Composer

Footer: Custom Footer Template from tagDiv Cloud Library

No caching/minification plugins running while debugging

💡 Desired Outcome:
I’d like the footer to remain centered consistently across all page types, including:

Category archives

Single blog posts

🛠️ Optional CSS I tried (not reliable):
body.category .td-footer-wrapper .td-container,
body.single-post .td-footer-wrapper .td-container {
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
text-align: center;
}

🙏 Any help is appreciated!
I’m hoping someone might’ve encountered this before — or if tagDiv devs could shed some light on what might be causing this layout behavior across different templates.

Thanks in advance,
Syazwan Razali
