The sidebar set there will be displayed in the homepage if you use the default WordPress blog page, as well as on posts.
That is the first setting the theme will look for a sidebar for the posts.
Next in order is the sidebar you set for the primary category of the post

All the posts will have a primary category, by default the first one alphabetically. Or you can set one manually. The sidebar set for the primary category will be inherited by the posts.
Next in line and the highest priority setting regarding sidebars is the per post sidebar

This setting will override the others and display the sidebar you set.
Maybe this is helpful for you to set the sidebar you want for your posts. Let me know if you have more questions.

Hello I am trying to replicate the first section on the smart app demo homepage, I imported the demo but when I tried to change this image. Image here—-> https://ibb.co/dKOcuy

Basically what I need is the settings to replace the original image with an image that displays in the same size. Because even now replacing the image with the same image results into a smaller image.

Hi,
If you use a latest sorting then the published posts should be visible in the blocks and grids as soon as you publish them. I believe caching plugins should refresh/update the homepage as soon as a post is published.

Tried to add a single picture to the home page but it is not a responsive outcome.

If I set the image size to 640x? then it is good for desktop – image quality just about ok.. – but can be read text on the pictures.
For TD-composer set image size for the mobile screens 340x? — then just about ok for mobile screens – but rubbish low-quality cant is guess whats on the picture… ( not desktop, nor mobile screen..)
Why is it not auto-responsive even with bigger image size?
Actually, for most good quality I would put there an image with size around 1280x?

Make sure the page you want as your homepage is “published” and not “draft”. Then check Settings > Reading again. If still not there, try clearing your site cache And browser cache.

Since doing the new update, I cant seem to remove the review stars from appearing on the homepage.
I dont want any stars appearing, I want the Author and Date appearing as it does for all other posts on the page.

Hi @simion. Is it possible for the team to introduce a few blocks (like say, have a flex block 4), with normal pagination (like in the templates for category pages for cloud library?) This would be a nice addition to the existing blocks. Possibly, I would like to deploy one for my homepage.
Iâve updated to Newspaper 8.8. My pages were created using Visual Composer – I am trying to recreate my Homepage with TagDiv composer. But Iâm having a problem adding the sidebar on the right.
When making the new Homepage:
I add the Big Grid Slide for the top of the page.
I add the Block 11 for articles
I then trying adding the Layout that has the wide lines and the narrow lines (2/3 + 1/3) but then the Big Grid Slide disappears and I get this error message âBig Grid Slide must be in a ROW / 3 COLUMNS.â When I switch the layout back to the wide lines (1/1) the Big Grid Slide reappears.
Iâve tried making the page in different ways but i just keep getting stuck. Can you help please?

Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such an option that allows you to disable only the Excerpts from the Homepage, sorry! My homepage links under the new update sends my traffic to homepage.com/news-smart-content-box/ instead of the category respective to the link. Visitors get an error page not found notification.

I stopped using WPBakery 3 years ago, myself; back when TDC and the VC ‘shim’ were in beta; so….. ‘hella yeah’ would be my reply đ
Note they are not 1:1 things; if you have been using WPB and move to TDC, not all shortcodes the same, or some extensions; so you might have to redo some things on homepage to use the TDC … in my case, the original ‘shim’ came about as I was one of the folks on our old web server getting CPU spikes going from “3” to “78” (!) with WPB. Won’t use it here ever again, personally.

Hi, I would like to disable the excerpt entirely, or at least for the homepage. This is mainly for my SEO purpose. However I find no option to disable the auto-excerpt.
Even if I set the Excerpt length to say, 2000, all the formatting and images will not be displayed.

I would like the color behind my logo and the main menu to be #222222.
I have inserted the following css in the custom code section, but it is not adjusting the color of the sticky menu which is still black. What code do I need to ensure that is #222222 too?

Also, on my homepage I would like to display a different image on the mobile version to the desktop version (I would like a large banner at the top of the page that when viewed on mobile would fill the whole screen). This is the image I am wanting to use for desktop: http://www.thesitdowncomedian.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/1920x1080v6.jpg but when viewed on mobile it is too small to read so I would like to insert a different image that fills the whole screen. What code (and where should I insert it) do I need to achieve this?

I made quite a few tests in then meantime, for me there is no problem in editing all the versions of the page by language, with the tagDiv composer. For example I set a page as homepage, then added a translation to it

I tested with theme requirements and WPML requirements met

Also I had no other plugins active except theme plugins. You could double check all the requirements, deactivate all plugins except theme plugins and WPML plugins.
If there is no positive result we could take a look at the problem. Send us admin login by email at contact@tagdiv.com also include a link to this topic in the email.
The other issue, with the cloud library, this is investigated by us and it will be fixed. Seems to happen for some users, the plugin will be updated along with the theme as soon as possible.
I don’t want to use a button. I want to play video in popup directly on homepage from the thumbnail. When anybody clicks on the thumbnail then the video should pop up or play directly on the same page without going to post page.

Does that happen for a new page or only for the homepage? If it only happens for the homepage then there could be a problem specific to it. Maybe you entered content in it that is not part of the tagDiv composer, or custom code of some kind. Let us know what you find.
