I do not know if this is the correct way to suggest new improvements to the them, but here I go:
– Better Search bar: In desktop, the search is too small and it could be better a full screen search (like in mobile) and like many websites do. Example: https://pitchfork.com/
– Hamburger Desktop menu: A lot of webs have this feature. You can show the post title as you scroll in the menu and show only website logo and a hamburger menu to open all links, or just show big logo centered. Example: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/01/theater/come-from-away-sankoff-hein-grammy-awards.html?hpw&rref=theater&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&module=well-region®ion=bottom-well&WT.nav=bottom-well

Because the homepage post element that ads a background image has the same effect. A background image or color will make the site boxed. Yes. on that page you dop not have a background color, but you have a background image.

We are using block 4 on the homepage of our new website. The current image size is 234×160, we would like to adjust that to 234×193. Would you point me in the direction on how to make that happen. I am aware that I will need to regenerate my thumbnails.

Braaaaaaaaaaaavo!!! Simon. That is exactly wha I needed and the options are awesome.
1 . To move the search to the left so I can insert another nav menu check
2. A way to the X to a spot that doesn’t conflict with extra menu. check
3. Got more than just one options but several Big check. and Looks great.
4. Timely response On Point!
Now another question is that is there a need for a 2nd NAV menu on the right in the industry or multisite such as this. My network is going to grow pretty large and want customers and user to be able to navigate and make it simple and helpful for all to scroll around with no conflict. Check example. Left NAV bar is categories in site 4 i.e gadgets, phones, tvs, smart home etc.. in towards the middle but off slightly is search icon. then on the far right is the extra nav menu of the whole multsite, site 1,2,3,4,5,6 so that user can navigate there quickly without the nav dropdown on left under submenus. Because it will look odd on homepage of site under the home tab with list of sites. Look good on regular mobile.
Will it be better for loading purposes to use the mobile plugin that way I would have two different menus one you pc and one for mobile with the sites listed. But I don’t like the layout of the mobile because I want it to resemble the site.
Or is that where the industry is going to be more compact.
Let me know and keep up the good work. You guys are awesome and I am sure all the your customers and developers who bought the theme can agree. Can’t go wrong with this.

My TD Composer is getting hung up loading when I try to edit my homepage. The error it’s is throwing is:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'next' of undefined

Sorry for misunderstanding, the latest articles section will be displayed if the Pagebuilder + latest articles + pagination is selected.
The page must be set as homepage in order for the design to apply. That is the case for block 15 customization, the design will apply only when the page is set as homepage.

Please try to set images for all of them, and check the homepage after doing this. The theme will create automatically thumbnails and display them on blocks/modules. So there should be thumbnails displayed.

That is because of the homepage post element on your page making the site boxed. If you want to have the site boxed at all times, there is a simple solution. Please access your theme panel and set a white background color here: https://www.screencast.com/t/GNH2FpKMfm
This will make the site boxed and prevent content from stretching to full width.

I’ve added the shortcodes to the homepage as advised, but I still need to select what the page type is on the right hand side. I have the choice:
Pagebuilder + empty page
Pagebuilder + overlay menu
Pagebuilder + empty page
Pagebuilder + page title
Pagebuilder + latest articles + pagination
Which is the correct one to be the same as the business demo?
dev.cbdmedicalnews.com (Dev site, password-protected; password is “tagDiv”). My homepage looks fine and the header ad’s width is correct (ad is 1428×180, double the standard 720×90 size; but the same undesirable behavior is exhibited when using the 128×90 ad). But when I go to any other page (category, or post), the header ad space extends fully edge to edge. No matter what I do, I cannot get this behavior to change. There is no customizations to the child theme – it’s the bare-bones default files from the Newspaper-child.zip (so there are no customizations). I’ve looked through all the places in the backend where custom CSS and other code could be added, but there is nothing there. We are running NP 8.6
At the same time, we have another site running NP 8.5.1 that appears to be fine (cbdwellnessguide.com), and the header stays body width on all pages like it should. Not sure if the version of NP has anything to do with it; but I’ve gone through the backend settings and compared them to see if I could find a discrepancy, and I don’t see why one site would be working and the other does not.

I”m just getting started with the NewsMag theme. I want to change the category of posts that show up in the top of the defaul demo. Where do I do that? The tagDV editor doesn’t seem to give me any options for modifying that section. Is there a video or tutorial that I can reference to learn to use this? Also, on some of the demo…the articles that are listed in the top section have a little title on them that says the category…how do I get those to show on the default demo? Thanks,

If you install a demo without content then only theme panel settings and custom design will be imported.

Hello @michele-jolie , have you tried using Mobile Plugin provided with the theme? Indeed your page is blank on mobile phones. Apart from that, i assume you are already using
Apart from that, some basics you should try for your website:
1. Try installing a demo from theme panel, in your case, you should try Cooking demo- https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_recipes/ . Just have a look. You can find other demos here- https://demo.tagdiv.com/select_demo/select_demo_newspaper .
2. Go for Free CDN by Cloudfare, that will boost speed of your website a lot and is pretty good.
3. Add SSL Certificate to your website, it will show users that your website is safe and again, is pretty neat.
4. Explore post types in theme, they are pretty good and worth exploring.

6. Basic plugins must get for WordPress- Akismet-anti spam, External Links, Jetpack, Regenerate thumbnails, WP Smush, Wp-Super Cache and Yoast ofcourse.
