I have a problem sticking a post on the home page.

I have an article, written last winter, included in the “mushrooms” category. Since the article is in season, therefore very current, (the winter mushrooms) I would like it to appear in the first place, or in any case somewhere on the home page, and better between the articles of the first and most important block of my site, without having to submit it to the rule of precedence of more recent posts.

To bring it to the first page I went to the “Visibility: Public” menu and through “Modify” I put the check on “Highlighted on the homepage” I save and public, but the article does not appear in any part of the front page grid, not even in the one grid dedicated to the “mushrooms” category. In the “mushrooms” category I have only random posts and not the post I forced to be on the home page.

I tried to put other articles on top of the page, but none of these articles goes to the home page. How can I solve this problem?

I solved by creating a widget that contains the main photograph of the article and putting a link to the article in the title but this is not correct and the effect is not the same as having the article in the grid of the most recent and prominent posts.

I am using block 1 for 1 section of the homepage. There is too much text appearing under the picture and I want to limit this to say 25 or 50 characters, then … so the reader has to click and continue on to the full article. Where do I need to adjust this? Currently there is too much pre-text appearing under the picture and taking up too much space. Thank you for your time.

I’ve created a page for authors.
Listed there about 35. When click on the author for see their profile, and his/her articles — it will go to the homepage instead on them public profilepage.

It is started on mobile version ( tagdiv-mobile-them ) But now the desktop verzion as well.

I switch off all plugins, cleared all caches, even restarted server.

I made authors page with tagdivs composer, another try I made with visual composer ( wp backery), and on mobile page a bi bunch of html code ( DIV+TABLE, TDS.. )
But non of them works… the profile links shows on my monitor bottom-left corner to the correct profile URL – but it will jump to homepage… WHY?

I was even look throughout database with phpmyadmin, if there is any user profile links missmatches.. but nothing wrong there..

And as I wrote above , if I switch off all the plugins – it is the same –

Would be great if mobile theme supports the same things created in the composer… just minimised.. Why have to deal with messy html things?

I read in the forum somewhere about userpro, I bought it – but the same results, so for me useless.

So basically I’ve been dealing with this since yesterday and cannot find a solution at all.

I can’t get my website to display a front page.

If I keep my home page as “mywebsite.com/home”, I type that into the url bar and it works perfectly. As soon as I try to set the page as Front page (and ‘show static page’), my website automatically reverts to some other page that I created in the past that doesn’t even exist anymore (breadcrumb shows “home > Blog” but that doesn’t even exist on my site??).

This pretty much only happens when I type “mywebsite.com” url into the url bar. Anything else (“mywebsite.com/home”; “mywebsite.com/news” etc) works fine.

Everything looks fine when I look at it through my WP panel. Only when I actually try and go to the website url can I see what’s going on.

This started happening after I installed this theme; first, the website “split” into 2: one ‘http’ version (showing the proper homepage) and one ‘https’ version, exhibiting this problem.

I honestly have no idea what’s going on; I’ve spent many hours researching online but can’t find anything about this anywhere.

Plese help guys!

Thank you for providing the great theme.
I am very happy with everything about it… EXCEPT “Pagination for blocks”.

Actually, I posted the request a few months ago (https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/homepage-pagination-2/) and still waiting for it…

I could use plugins to customize it but all plugins (that I know of) require to edit functions.php file which is quite difficult for me.

I am not sure how many other users need it but please consider to add some more pagination options in the next update.

All I want is to make the pagination look like this…

Hi, I recently bought Newspaper8 and I am liking it alot so far, I want to know how can I create a link in the top menu so it rollsover to a specific part of the homepage? It would be like a link to a specific block in the middle of the homepage.
I am using the video News template if it helps you.

Also I dont know if I should open a new topic to another question, but i will stick it in this topic aswell. I am using Youtube AutoImport Plugin that creates automatically a post with the video embeded, but it does not promote itself as a featured video, is it possible to do it automatically?

I just recently installed the theme, set up the “News Magazine” demo, and changed a couple of color settings.

After a while, I opened a new incognito windows and went on my website. Basically, the homepage is stuck showing the crappy old “twenty fourteen” theme page that I had randomly put together last night.

This only happens if I set the homepage as “show static page”. If I set it to “show latest posts”, I’m able to view the proper page with the Newspaper theme on it. This hapens even if I select the ‘default Coming Soon page’ on WP settings: the same crappy page keeps showing up.

This is driving me nuts as I’ve deleted each and every possible page that could have been created last night with that old theme, and replaced it with a fresh, new one that I only edited using this very theme, but no matter what I do, if I set the homepage as “show static page”, this crappy thing shows up whenever I try to access the website from outside of the WP control panel.

Please help.

So by browsing previous questions, I understand that I have to copy css from the business demo stylesheet. So my question is where do I paste this and which places do I have to reference the class (td-business) from?

By changing our homepage http://www.sportguide.ch with Newspaper Theme some pages come up with dissappeared Links. On several ski pages we have several Links to another pages, but now on the frontend they dont work and in the backend if you click on the images it show theirs no link anymore as it was before. For example: http://www.sportguide.ch/k2-skimodelle-2017-2018/, Now I have to install all Links again. Do you have any suggestions and solutions?
