Hi,

That color will be displayed only on category and post pages. On the homepage the category tags will have a default color. You could change them in general as you mention, or maybe by block and module type. Use the browser inspector to identify the classes and experiment with custom code
https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
Block can have custom classes set, you can use that as well to affect the tags more specifically.

Thanks

Hi,

There will have to be a header, to display the website logo and navigation menu. The header cannot be disabled.
The logo can be changed in the theme panel
https://forum.tagdiv.com/logo-favicon/
The demo you have installed uses header style 11, this header style does not have a limit for the logo size. You can use any image size as logo.
You will have to create your own menu, based on your own categories for posts. Here is more information about creating the menu, and also the mega-menu option
https://forum.tagdiv.com/main-menu/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/mega-menu/
The revolution slider can be configured to display posts from the categories you want
https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-revolution-sliders-on-demos/
So after setting the header and revolution slider as needed, you can go ahead and choose which block type, grid or full grid you want on the homepage. You can view them all as I mentioned in the live demo (Features menu).
First please check this tagDiv composer tutorial
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Blocks have many configuration settings, this is a guide where each is explained
https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Modules that form blocks and grids will display the post title, additional post meta, and excerpt. The meta information can be disabled if you wish
https://www.screencast.com/t/DF872Ac2sR
Excerpt length can be controlled as well – https://forum.tagdiv.com/excerpts-introduction/
When the module is clicked you will be directed to the post page, that is the intended functionality.
The baby blog demo consists of the revolution slider on top, then a latest articles section with a sidebar. The latest articles section is automatically added when the required page template is selected. More about it here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
Posts will have to be created and published. Edit published posts and modify them if you wish. The tagDiv composer cannot be used to edit posts, it is a page editor.

Please correct me if I misunderstood something, and let us know if you need further help.

Thanks

Hi,

I have inspected the website and the images are displaying properly at the moment

I see no problem in the homepage, posts or category pages.

Hi Simion,

Thank you so much for this – I forgot to mention sorry I’m using the baby blog demo which I’m loving – it’s clinical like I wanted.

What I’m struggling to work out how to do (or find which of the elements it actually is) is have it set up how i’m trying to. For instance I’d like my home page for the moment to literally be no header, my logo, the rev slider, then two blocks for the content etc, the instagram below it, then the footer.

I was hoping that when you’re actually looking at the home page, it stays neat and almost at a glance so the two blocks will have their respective images on them with only one short paragraph underneath so the page doesn’t start looking busy or have two much content to scroll down. Once you then click the image/paragraph you’re then ‘taken’ to the content instead of it being on the homepage if that all makes sense?

It’s currently set up using big grid 4 I think so I’d managed to get the two images on there when I placed them from the elements menu, but once I started editing it, when I preview it it’s all on the actual home page rather than behind the image in the block as I’d hoped. Have I selected the wrong element?

I’m sorry for such basic questions! I have to say I’m also struggling to work out where’s the best place to edit the actual posts. It seems that you select the elements and layout from the TagDiv composer and then go into my wordpress admin page to actually edit the content – is this correct please? If in the TD composer page the blocks look how i want them to. If i go into the WP admin page and then save and preview after the text and images are altered it looks entirely different and is all on the home page as i mentioned above?

Hi,

Please check the theme system status and make modifications to the parameters mentioned in this guide if necessary
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You could ask your hosting provider to make them for you, they might have a recommended method in this matter. Insufficient resources can cause issues like this.
After everything is set properly, create a new page or edit the homepage and check if the composer is working properly.

Thanks

Hello SiteDev,

Please check the following topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/travel-homepage-banner-image/

Hi,

The theme blocks and grids are not designed to display full post content in the homepage. The full post content can be viewed in the post page. Here you can see how all the available blocks and grids look
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/
You can create pages using any of these elements. A specific element that would allow you to place a full post on pages does not exist, at the moment.

Thanks

Hi,

Mainly support means helping with theme available options, not theme customization. We do not have a dedicated customization department at the moment.
Maybe I misunderstood the problems you are having using the theme. From your first issue I understood that you want to place a grid on the homepage. You can place any of the available grids, there is no problem achieving that. Edit the page with the composer and insert the grid you want, where you want it (on top of the block 15 you mention).
The second issue you present describes displaying the author avatar on the module thumbnail. There is no function in the theme to do this.
You could adapt the solution for this topic, and edit the respective module (module 16)
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/author-bio-help/#post-45418
There is a solution in this topic for implementing views in modules, you can try it for block 21 (module 16)

Hi,

1. The church demo uses header style 7 – https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/
In that guide you can see how all the header styles display the header ad.

2. Demos contain custom design, meaning each has a specific stylesheet. If you make modifications to the homepage for example, this design may not apply anymore since it was created for particular elements and conditions.
The website will always be boxed if there is a background color or image set
https://forum.tagdiv.com/background-introduction/

3. Each header style can display a header banner. Please check the guide to see how all the headers look. Alternatively you could test them all by changing them in the theme panel. See how they all look and choose the one you think it’s best.
There are also options in the theme panel to stretch the header elements

Im using this theme as a news blog.
I noticed that when i visit the homepage, i need to refresh the page before i get new news feed.

Hello SiteDev,

After you have installed the Travel demo, for example, you should check the homepage in backend and copy/paste the code to another page if you want to have the same elements on page from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Q5qABJql3g

Thanks for your understanding!

I am only using one slide on my homepage so I would like the previous and next arrows to be removed from the Slide element/module. Can you please tell me how to do that? Thank you for your help with this.

Hi,

The top grid will display posts from the featured category, followed by the latest articles section displaying posts from all the categories. If you want to make modifications to this functionality, you will have to edit the theme files. These are some similar topics

We updated WordPress and featured images stopped showing on the homepage. They’re still showing within articles and on category pages, just not on the homepage. We are using the most up to date version of Newspaper 7.

recomhub.com

I went through the forum and saw people advising users to turn off plugins and check to see which one could be causing the issue. I did that but couldn’t get the images to load back (even after resetting the cache).

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
Is there any way, when you are using a mobile theme, to display only posts from one catgory? Not the newest one from all?
Of maybe just remove some categories from display?

thx

Hi guys,

I just installed the theme and it’s beautiful. However, I can’t figure out how to duplicate the homepage layout of the Travel demo — I imported the template (without the content) and also watched all of the instructional videos, but the process seems to have changed since updating to the divTag Composer.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,

That could be caused by insufficient resources. Please check the theme system status and make modifications to the parameters mentioned in this guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You could ask your hosting provider to make them for you if needed. There is no limit to how many sidebars you can create, and how many widgets you place in them.
On the homepage I seem you use a widget sidebar element
https://www.screencast.com/t/K3G8XkaFp
It contains a social counter, a few blocks and an ad.

Thanks

Yes, thanks. However, I don’t think I worded my question well…I have already successfully installed the Revolution Slider in the style of the ‘baby-blog’ demo.

I also know how to build a brand-new homepage and insert it that way. I guess what I’m asking is if there is anyway to drop the slider into the current homepage WITHOUT having to build a new homepage with tagDiv composer?

The templated homepage does not appear on the list of pages, so I’m unsure how to drop in the slider element to that page, and I would really prefer not to build a new homepage with tagDiv if at all possible. If that’s the only way to go though, will go that route.

Thanks again!

Emily
