Your homepage was not affected by the sidebar in the widgets are aof wordpress because on pages you can create qa custom sidebar directly in page edit separate from the standard wordpress widgets. You can split a row in a 2/3 + 1/3 column layout and add or remove elements directly on the page. Here is an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2wGizMz4X0
The split row does not count as a sidebar in the wordpress sidebars section

Hello, I’d like to change font of a td “column text” in my homepage , is there a way by using the “theme panel” ?

Since the latest update, the tabs on my homepage (halfway down the page) now fill with colour when selected or hovered over.
Furthermore, the tabs are all underlined, but the underlining continues to the edge of the element instead of stopping where the wording stops, which didn’t happen before the latest update.
Let me know how I can fix this.

Hi. Using the WordPress widget editor I successfully changed the widgets on the sidebar of my landing page. However, when I navigate to the homepage via the menu it went to a page with the old widgets. (goodsophist.com vs goodsophist.com/home/) I could not change widget column on /home/ via the WordPress widget editor, and could not find the widgets I wanted to add to the column on Visual Composer. I considered deleting each widget from the column but was not sure how I would get what I want back into it.
My workaround was to change the home menu button by adding a custom link back to the landing page rather than /home/. But this feels like a sub-optimal solution. Suggestions?
How can I exclude categories so that I don’t have duplicate posts on homepage especially when a post can have two categories and both categories appear on the homepage. I will like to control which one appears. Thanks

When I insert a featured image into the post, often times when I go to the homepage the feature image is zoomed or cropped strange,
this is annoying at it makes our website look unprofessional
I’d like it so that all the post’s feature images on the homepage are the same size (square shaped) rather than rectangular, and that way I can design images specifically to fit the feature image slot, and I’ll know that they’ll display fully, without cutting a portion off… please help, even sending the display dimensions for the feature image would be useful.

I understand what you mean about the docs and videos, but they are all created with the assumption people who use wordpress theme,s know what wordpress is and what can be done through the wordpress settings. If you lack the basic knowledge I would suggest starting with a few basic wordpress tutorials to learn how pages are made, how posts are created and how they belong in categories, and how to build and set a homepage. For the homepage for instance, wordpress provides 2 options. Either a list of your latest posts, or a page you create and select for it. I assume you have the list and do not know where to dfind the settings for it. OPur theme uses templates for all the wordpress specific pages such as the one you use. These templates are found in the theme panel-> template settings: https://www.screencast.com/t/mh1qwGmDX9
Under the wordpress templates, you will find the theme way of setting the default predefined templates used by wordpress. The theme ad’s it;s style to these pages but since they are predefined by wp, they cannot be edited in the page builder. The same goes with the categories for posts.

Please ensure that you do not use the TD Composer to edit the homepage which was made with Visual Composer because this can be the reason in this case. Try to make a new clean page and customize it from scratch via TD-Composer.

Unfortunately, our theme does not have any such an option that allows you to add these effect to your background of your homepage, sorry! You should try finding a plugin with this functionality and see how it will work for you or if you want to add it and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide this type of services at the moment, sorry!
I have added this possible feature to our list of improvements but we cannot say for sure if it will get done in the next update because we have a big list of fixes, improvements, and suggestions to implement. Itâs hard to filter them and select which one gets implemented now and which one gets postponed. The developers decide if it gets done or not though.

@louwvanriet, I have inspected your homepage and I saw that in the bottom of the page you have displayed the header ad. Do you have manually add it there? Also, I have checked your source page and I saw that you are using a lot of unknown plugins which can interact with the theme core files and cause a lot of unknown issues. You should remove all of them, leaving just our required theme plugins, clear all the caches and check the results.

I even downgraded the Yoast SEO version and also tried the free version, the problem remains same. With Yoast SEO enabled, I get this error on my existing homepage
Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!
Once disabled, things get to normal.
The problem needs to be investigated at tagdiv’s end.

Please keep in mind that our TD Composer does not destroy your homepage layout if in the past you have used the Visual Composer. First of all, please keep in mind that it is not recommended to be used both page builders simultaneously because might appear some conflicts, sorry! Notice that the TD Composer will recognize the Visual Composer shortcodes and the page which was created with VC should be right displayed on the front page if you will enable the TD Composer. Also, we do not recommend to edit this page with TD Composer if it was made with Visual Composer. You should make a similar page (recreate it by TD Composer from scratch) if you want to achieve best theme results. Also, if you do not like to use TD Composer, you can disable it and continue to use only the Visual Composer but please notice that in the future, we will release new features exclusively on our page builder.

Unfortunately, the Newsmag theme does not have any such an option that allows you to edit your homepage with front end editor, sorry! Please keep in mind that on the future we will plan to add the TD Composer which is our page builder and which allows you to create your website, using a FRONT END editor, a thing which now is available on Newspaper theme.

How do you set up the top feature news bloc in the World News look? I’ve tried many of the layout blocks in the visual composer and can’t find the one that replicates that look.
How do we add rows and blocks below the “Most Popular” block in visual composer?
We have the home page set up so it’s using the layout options under “Homepage Latest Articles”. Under “Post Loops Settings”, we are using option M11. How do we replicate the “Video News” and “Latest Articles” blocks at the bottom of the home page like in World News? Thanks!
For editing content, is nothing, just blank space, you can’t write in it nothing.. I can’t deactivate visual composer, beacuse all pages are made with it.. and if i turn it off, the whole look of webpage will be awful..
