Hello !
IF you create image ads you can create them with any software you feel comfortable. In order to integrate them in Newspaper theme I would suggest you to do the following:
Open the template using the tagDiv Composer and select the Ad Box element: https://www.screencast.com/t/9YzL0MezGDi
Place the adbox element wherever you wish on your template and add the image you want in here: https://www.screencast.com/t/PgbsPF13geM
As for the sizes you can look into Theme Panel ads so you can have an ideea about what sizes are recommended for diferent layouts: square etc.. : https://www.screencast.com/t/Fzep8Z6nI
I hope this was helpful !
Thank you !
Hi Guys,
Except the general Ads tutorial on here I have struggled to find some definitive info/tutorial on Banner Ads ‘None Adsense’.
What are the full range of the different banner sizes templates I need the create ?
Do I need create different sizes for responsive devices i.e tablet and mobile ?
Where should I keep these images i.e Media within wordpress or on my server and how the code you provide works ?its very confusing.
Is there a tutorial ? ‘video preferable ‘ that can example in much more detail.
Kind Regards
Mark
Hello Vlad,
yes i did find and followed that tutorial, but this is not my question.
– Question is about the default WP thumbnails settings ?? do we need those images sizes, is it supposed to be set like that by default ?
– or Do the settings of Newspaper images thumnails is taking over the WP media setting options ?
and another thing that i don’t understand is, it’s two times i’m running Regenerate thumbnails, and tired with force regenerate thumbnails as well, but when i go inside the “uploads” folder on the FTP, I don’t see any new dates on files on the server, nor new names or thumnails version.
also, seems that the plugins “regenerate thumbnails” VS “Force regenerate thumbnails” are not working the same way? do you confirm ?
Many thanks
Robin
is possible to take a look via this link https://www.typemeon.com/?amp
How Can I be sure my images are vertically centered on tablets and Mobiles ? Screen sizes are differents..
Hello,
When we preview a draft document the see the following problems:
– missing the side bar widgets
(the space for the sidebar is there but the side bar does not show up, nor is the sidebar <div> present in the HTML code when inspected).
– images do not show (but their code is present in the HTML)
– shortcodes fail to process/render
– Browser window sizes below 750px all images are center justified regardless of settings
-
All of the theme requirements are met per system status panel in theme settings.
All plugins deactivated except TagDiv plugins and problems still persists.
We do not use the flex blocks, so that work around will not work for us.
Suggestions?
Hi, I am using the Mega Menu with this header but I cannot get the images to auto crop correctly. I have tried various different sizes to no avail. The best I can do now is to use a 1200x 1200 image and squish my images into the middle.
Under the menu item “Sieges”
Also there is a bread crumb there that I need to get rid of.
Hello Jamie !
After reading the replies above and inspecting your website a bit I’ve seen that you have 3 images that return 404 error and those take up to 4.0 seconds of useless loading. You should delete them and re-upload them.
Also for images I will recommend a 800×600 image size or try with some google photos albums embedded into your page. You can setup a cloudflare which is free: https://www.cloudflare.com/
And the main problem still remains, you have waaay too much content on your first page. Average page sizes are 1-5mb and yours is 40mb. The video playback eats all of your resources: https://www.screencast.com/t/hGXv4IRqqdYa
I hope this was helpful !
Thank you !
Hi
Using block 16 the tumbnails do not maintain the same size. In one case the ‘featured video’ YouTube link is used, in the other case a custom image is used in ‘featured image’ with size 1280×720.
Can you help me understand how thumbnails work in block 16? How could I keep an equal size in both cases?
Best regards
Joseph
Hi Vlad,
Thanks for highlighting this. I think I’ve removed it already.
However, while the first module appears right away when I load the website on mobile, the module below it takes quite a long time to load. Whenever I scroll up or down, the site might go blank and it takes a long time for the modules to appear. Is this all because of the image sizes?
Thanks,
Hayes
Hello !
You will have to find that photo and remove it because it causes a 404 error, which means that it doesn’t load. Try looking for it in your media library and if you can’t find it in there check your cpanel, you should find it in your wordpress files.
Yes, that is a correct method if you want to achieve great speed. Also we have noticed that you have 3 fonts and your photos are way to big which hold your website back. We would recommend using compressed images, and rescale them. A good way would be to rescale your images in an app like photoshop to a smaller size, when using photoshop for example that resizes and compresses your images which should provide greater results.
I hope this was helpful !
Thank you !
Please, can someone help, what is best pixel size for “Featured Post Image” in theme “Newspaper”?
@co50 I think Calin was trying to tell you where the dpi settings were, if you would like to adjust the threshold to display retina images down to 100dpi.
Also a part of retina is set in this file -> http://prntscr.com/pt251i -> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/common/wp_booster/td_util.php and this file -> http://prntscr.com/pt25ns -> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/js/tagdiv_theme.js if you change the tagdiv_theme.js you’ll need to mimify the code en replace the one from tagdiv_theme.min.js
That seems to be the main cause of your issue and I would personally not consider it a “bug” – its just how they have their theme configured to keep images / page sizes optimized for faster load times.
Hi there,
I’m having a problem where the images that I uploaded for the article thumbnails. Display differently on these 3 pages: Home, Categories, and Tag. I was hoping to get the same appearance of the thumbnail image from the home page and even though the image was uploaded High Quality, it display it as a blurry image on the category page and sometimes inside the tagged page. We noticed that the theme is auto-adjusting the image which we don’t like. Once again, we want to have the same thumbnail appearance on the home page…..to all category page and tag pages.
Is there a way you can help me?

When you say big sizes, any big size?
5184 pixels by 3456
1200 pixels by 900
Width greater than height?
Because when I take as an image 643 pixels by 1024 it’s okay
but 241 pixels by 340 no
I would just like to understand the logic of the image dimensions I must choose in the future.
Thank you.
Hello,
My website URL is – sustainabilitynext.in
The images are fairly smaller in PC, but if I view it on Mobile, it is very big in size.
Is there any way to adjust the size of images to look smaller in mobile?
Hi,
I don’t know if this is something you’ve done before, but it would be great if we could choose from the current theme thumbnails in the drop-down menu when placing media.
I’m trying to get my authors to use standard sizes to avoid resizing images in the browser and it’s hard to do that when all we see are the 3 standard WP options.
Is that possible?
Thanks,
Kim
I changed but it looks very bad. New image have same sizes and it s good quality, but looks like this:

Hi,
Maybe your featured images don’t have the adequate size. In this topic I found there are some recommendations in terms of size, which Facebook recommends
– https://louisem.com/3838/facebook-link-thumbnail-image-sizes
Test with bigger images if possible.
Use the debugger to see how the shared post looks
– https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-facebook-incorrect-thumbnail-issue-in-wordpress/
Thank you!
Hello !
That can be changed using the header manager as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/wjPbiMyC
Also for the size of the image I recommend checking the sizes of the actual image.
Thank you !
Hello !
Unfortunately yes, even tough WP bakery is a tested plugin I personally wouldn’t recommend using it. Since tagDiv Composer was created as our own page builder the developers are working on developing this plugin.
1. In the tagDiv Composer you can add ROWs. Each row has a layout setting which can be edited: https://www.screencast.com/t/0aq1TR5sPSFf And there is no limit in the amount of rows you add. Each row can have a different layout and different sizes.
2. In order for the Newspaper theme to work flawlessly we recommend meeting all of our themes system requirements which can be found here: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-requirements/. Also we do offer a tutorial for increasing the page speed and many users have reported big improvements: https://tagdiv.com/how-to-increase-page-loading-speed/ ; Also if the users choose to use plugins that get in conflict with the tagDiv Composer that is something that we can do nothing about it. Plugin conflicts can happen on many other plugin / theme setups.
3. You can stretch the row’s content to the width you want but if you are using a background color or image that will reduce your page width to a boxed layout.
As a personal note I would recommend to always make a backup before every modification and also using a test server where you will be able to test every modification / plugin you want. That will give you the ability to test all the features you want without compromising the main website.
I hope you will find this helpful and we are sorry for the inconveniences !
Thank you !
Hello,
The background image of my mobile/search menu is still blurry. I tried different images and sizes, even the original ones from the demo. They are all blurry. I dont use the mobile plugin. How to fix this? See here https://disneyplusser.nl
The image of the mobile phone you see now is a 2 MB PNG file (3840×2160). How can it still be blurry?
Thanks!
Hello !
You will have to upload the images in the sizes specific to the blocks. Some blocks have square formats so you will have to edit your images to be the right sizes. Also please make sure you upload the pictures in full size as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/zDtp4DlEHuLe
Thank you !
Hi.
What is the maximum size for the thumb placeholder? I am using a 1920×1080 image and it is not shown in the templates (blocks and grids). On the contrary, an image of 298×240 is shown, but it is already very small. I don’t want to waste time trying many sizes until I find the right one.
Best regards.
Joseph
(I’m using Google translate)
This is not successful:
if ( function_exists( ‘add_theme_support’ ) ) {
add_theme_support( ‘post-thumbnails’ );
set_post_thumbnail_size( 681, 0, true ); // default Post Thumbnail dimensions (cropped)
// additional image sizes
// delete the next line if you do not need additional image sizes
add_image_size( ‘category-thumb’, 681, 9999 ); //300 pixels wide (and unlimited height)
}
Hi Simion,
no, I don’t want resize the image inside the post.
I mean the following:
After changing the theme to yours all my old thumbnails for the post are too small. I’ve changed the sizes to 681px with the “regenerate thumbnails” plugin. However, the old widths are displayed in the theme at the top of the post.
How can I force the theme to show all thumbnails above the post in width 681px?
Thank you,
Luke
