Thank you for creating this theme, however, I encountered some problems while trying to set it up… I will need your help around it. My site address is https://aleromart.com/
1) How can I reduce the the width size of my site content so that the clickable Advert background can have more visibility?
2) I activated “Anyone Can Register” on the settings page and also activated “Sign in/Join” on the Theme Panel as seen in the document but new people that registers don’t get password email notification and their email appears as a subscriber in my dashboard. How will I make them get emails please?
3) I installed woocommerce theme because I saw that this theme is compatible with it, is there a customized cart logo for this purpose that can appear in my header area? And how can I put this there?
4) I installed BBpress and BuddyPress for community on my site, please I need your assistance in setting this up to have a fully functional community site on this site.
I anticipate your answers soonest please.
Thanks and Regards
Normally you’d develop a copy of your site with new theme in a sub-domain or alt dev setup like MAMP on your hard drive and import database from server (lots of articles on web for this).
Install theme via FTP if your hosting setup has funky permissions.
Some people “switch” to new site layout by setting aside a weekend and doing changes when things are less likely to freak people out. Note all your posts won’t break choosing new theme, indexes work, etc.; so often you can switch on new theme, then work on your homepage first, then sort out the rest.
I think there is also a theme switch plugin where you can work on new layout, test, then switch back to old theme. Have not tried that.
make sure you are only uploading the main theme zip and not ‘all files’ zip.
If your hosting setup doesn’t have correct permissions, you need to install via FTP.
Usually best option is to un-do whatever changes you made which caused site to stop working.
it cannot “just suddenly stop working” unless something changed.
Usually, reinstalling theme is good choice, turn off plugins; disable auto-updates on anything that broke site.
Resave permalinks, clear transients with WP-Optimize; clear any caching used, etc.
Hi
I am using a newspaper 7 demo installation. I want to change the category names. for example the category “sport” seems to be on the slider on the front page. I want to change the category name “sport” but keep the news articles that were published to that category. So for example I have a news article about Turkey’s referendum that was published under the sport category. I want that article to automatically show in the new name that I choose for the category rather than “sport”.
Is this possible? and what is the best way to do all this.
Thanks
Install via FTP or fix your Curl setup.
I’m trying to install the NewsPaper theme on a test server. The test server is on a self-signed SSL certificate. When I install Visual Composer through the NewsPaper plug-in panel, I get an error:
Download failed. cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: self signed certificate
How can I install this required plug-in with a self-signed certificate?
Thanks!
Hello,
Website: http://www.stylowkidlanastolatek.pl, template: Newspaper
Problem: Only the title of the news item is displayed in the pod page of the post. In admin panel only one entry – complete database.
Actions on my part: None. Install phpBB3 on a completely different subdirectory and database.
All plugins current. Any ideas?
It was resolved

Hi everyone. I have two separate questions…
1) Install Error message – I just bought the Newspaper theme and followed all instructions to extract and install the newspaper.zip file to my wordpress dashboard, but keep getting the same error that reads: “Are you sure you want to do that? Please try again.” Followed suggestions for clearing cache and cookies and still not working.
The second question leads into this above, as the other suggestion was to disable plugins currently working.
2) My site is rather large and has been up and running for a little over 2 years. Is it true that I am not able to design the new site with the newspaper theme offline?? Can’t find the answer to this question directly. I just found someone else stating that in order to fully customize this theme, I have to activate it. So, does that mean my original site will be completely gone while I design and then implement the new one??
Thanks so much for any help on this!
To add to this, I am also having this same exact issue. I contacted Hostgator and they assured me they have no server side caching. The issue for me is not isolated simply to the homepage but rather across the whole site. When I make a change, I have to manually ctrl+f5 to see the changes on each page. Clicking on a new menu item and then back will not load the changes.
This seems to be a template issue as I tested this by installing a new instance of WP and used default themes and did not encounter this issue. I am also running multiple sub-domains with no issues.
Please help.

I created a subfolder that I named ‘2’ in my public html where I installed and my new wordpress website. I went to Setting/General and changed the web address removing the ‘/2’ and saved. Then I went to the Cpanel to move the WordPress website to the root directory then I can’t get into the admin anymore and the homepage display with errors. Please find the errors included below:

Cant install the theme without demo content, I just want the settings. Is the issue resolved?
Thanks
Peter
completely confused now. i went to the trouble of installing a fresh WordPress install, nothing on it. Thinking that the issue might reside i was putting the them onto an existing site, but nope, its doing the same thing. All of the columns are going 100% and not adhering to the 2/3+1/3 selection , or any other for that matter
https://active2017.phyefnp3-liquidwebsites.com/
and in addition the blocks arent even working right either , the first row on the above link is supposed to have 3 posts on the side , not the bottom…..
this seems to be alot more trouble than its worth, not starting off good ; unless i am missing something (which is totally possible)
Just installed the theme. Converting an site over, on a test site
added a couple of big grids to the home page, using VC rows , a full row and a 2/3 + 1/3 row
all of the elements stack up , seems like they are full width???
Any clues as to why?
https://activeacadiana-staging.phyefnp3-liquidwebsites.com/
i even created a page with a template that they have and it still resulted in the same thing, all the DIV see like they are going 100% width and stacking on top each other
Sorry,
It is in the “All file & documentation” and not in the “Installable WordPress file only”
Hello,
I´m sorry, but I did not understand.
I’ve just installed my site from Newspaper Fashion Blog Demo and just changed the image located in Adbox1. Nothing more. I uploaded the new image with the same size, and used the same code inserted in the original demo template. But the site shows the new image (in adbox1) smaller. Why?
I´m starting with WordPress and I couldn’t find settings that you sent me in the screenshot reply. I cleaned all caches from my browser, but the trouble persists.
Can you explain to a begginer in WordPress?
Great i just contact the host providers to help me check on their end. And what to try installing it with my FTP FileZilla Client and see.
I will get back to you but any things advice.
More specific?
You need to upload the theme zip, not the ‘all files’ zip.
Also, best way to install anything with WP is FTP as it will always work; while the WP installers are dependent on your server, permissions, bandwidth, random updates at server core, etc.
Having problem installing the theme with wordpress through appearance and theme.
