Unfortunately, your plugin is not tested with our theme and we cannot ensure that this plugin will work properly and we cannot provide support for untested plugins, sorry. My advice is to try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer, clear cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. This kind of feature works fine with our Theme but without any plugins that might cause a lot of conflicts with our theme.

As for the visual composer plugin, make sure you delete any old version of the plugin from your plugins directory: wordpress/wp-content/plugins

I send Child theme file to server by FTP and activated.

I Just installed the latest version – 6.6.4 of newspaper theme. The plugin installer has a warning as below:

We are having a difficult time with our mandatory PCI compliance scans as several of the “vulnerabilities” it detected reference the login popup: “Web Application Transmits Login Credentials Without Encryption”
We have an SSL certificate properly installed on the site but it doesn’t seem to recognize the javascript login window and credentials are being passed using clear-text protocol.

I installed Greg’s Show Total Conversations plugin to show the comments number but it isn’t working? It only worked one time, when I went away from that page and I clicked the back button on browser, the comment number showed up for one second and disappeared. How to fix it?

Unfortunately this error could come from a big number of problems. It is a general error and we cannot pin point it to a specific thing. I believe it happens due to a server configuration which is not responding, it could be due to a delay or it could also be a temporary issue so you can try this a few times and if you still get this error please contact your host provider and let him know about this, ask them to unblock our demo in order to retrieve the theme data. It could also happen due to your wp install or other plugins might also cause this. Also make sure that your permission for the upload folder are set correct. You can check this by trying to upload an image in media library. If the process succeeds then the permission are ok. If not you can use the c-panel to change permissions (set them to 777) or if you do not have access to the cpanel, please contact your hosting provider.

I don’t know if I can call it really a Custome Modifcation. Your answer is quite easily done to close the request.
I do not have touching any code or line in the Newspaper theme, and on the WordPress, only I place this htaccess file, so it’s not possible to log on the admin of the WordPress without puting this username and password. It is a server protection side. I made it on all Site I build and I have never had this kind of issue.
If you log on with this username, your theme works great, but if not, impossible to make a search or anything like that.
The problem and question is why the theme are asking info in the Wp-admin folder ?
I have migrate my site earlier with 3000 video post, he takes me one month to do it, and I’m in progresss to finish and I begun to be sorry of my choice. This behavior is preventing user to search a video and can see a video post only if they had the direct link of it by searching on google and not in the Website as before. This is a huge issue for us. When I switch back a little bit with the previous theme, the issue is not there. But I connot use this old theme because there is an irreversible issue with wordpress 4.
Could you please at least, made a little test by your own on a dedicated server put on the Wp admin a password folder protection. Install Newspaper. put some post. Log out. Access to the frontpage and try a research to see how he behave ?
I don’t want to use a plug in protection for the website to avoid using ressource for nothing

First of all, please ensure that you do not have some conflicting plugins. Please try to disable all of them, except Visual Composer and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the plugins in conflict. Also, please check your Cpanel if you have installed the GD library and check your system status to be all the parameters green, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/OYfqZ5sPd, it is necessary to be green for a better results. I would like to ask you how to change the color in preinstalled WP Menu widget. Before last theme update (to 6.6.4) I’ve simply changed it by edit CSS code into:

}
After update it doesn’t work anymore. So what I’m suppossed to do to change hover color of menu items just in that exact widget?

I’m using EWWWW Image Opt now – should I remove the part of the code that controls this in your php code? Or doesn’t it matter that both are employed? I removed the code and installed plugin but want to put the speed tips code back in too 🙂

I have tested your website and everything seems to work as expected, your big grid works fine, as you can see -> http://screencast.com/t/w8pYhmEUiyv8 This kind of issue do not come from our theme…it comes from conflicting plugins. You have to disable all of them, except Visual Composer and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme to rule out the plugins in conflict. Also, you should clear all your caches and test it again and see how it works.
On the future, you can test on our demo preview and compare with your website and if the problem is the same it means that is a problem with our theme otherwise the problem come from your setup.

Thanks for your feedback but you probably didn’t read my last comment? It IS working with MEGA MENUs but not with those (from a page). The screenshot shown by you has a MEGA MENU (from a category).
I also -of course- have the newest versions of each installed as you could also deduct from my writing above.
Your theme is breaking it as soon as you use a MEGA MENU (from a page). If you do this, the plugin’s output is somehow displayed in the MEGA MENU and not in the post.
To better show you where the problem is I set up to dev installations

I have installed the recommended SEO by Yoast plugin. I have noticed that there is a warning in setting. It says:
“Warning: printf(): Too few arguments in…./pages/metas.php on line 75”
This warning appears on home page setting, title and meta tags. I don´t know exactly if I have to change something here to solve this or it is simply normal.

I want to achieve the following functionality on my website for Ads which i’ll be displaying.
1. I want to display different Ads on Home Page Header, Category Page Header and Post Detail Page Header. The post detail page Header would depend upon the primary category being set for that post.
2. I want to display different Ads in the sidebar for Home Page, Category Pages and Post Detail Page Sidebar. The post detail page Ad would depend upon the primary category being set for that post.
3. I want to display bottom Ads (Just above the footer) on the Category Pages and the Ads needs to be distinguished based on the category. How can this be achieved ?
4. I want to display bottom Ads just below the Post description and the Ad would depend upon the primary category being set for that post.
5. How to add more custom ad blocks into the theme panel which could be utilized else where.
Please let me know the how can this be achieved.

Please check one more thing. Make sure you have widgets placed in the sidebar you are trying to display. Try to create a new sidebar from the widgets area and set it to the post. If it still will not work, then try another thing. Please install the td_books plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/custom-post-type-support/. This will install a CTP named books. Try to create a new book and set a sidebar to it. If the sidebar works on a book post, then you will know that the plugin you use is not compatible with our sidebar. In this case you will have to use another event plugin.

It seems something might have gone wrong when updating. Please make a fresh install via ftp by following this tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ Your settings will not be affected as they are stored in the database. Simply download the latest version of the theme and install it directly.

i have installed NewspaperVersion: 4.6 which is working fine but when i updated the version to NewspaperVersion: 6.6.3 manually (i.e copy and paste in the themes folder) then its not working properly it does not displaying headers properly and other contents also.

I used the plugin with the basic Newsmag configuration:
-theme version : 2.3.5
-Visual Composer version 4.9
-MyEffecto version 2.7
I also used the plugin with a mega menu and seams to work fine: http://screencast.com/t/wG5kAddHgleh You can try to make a new local install on your computer, with the latest version of WordPress, the current version of the theme available on themeforest, V 2.3.5, Visual Composer and MyEffecto plugins and test again.
