Hi,
The social icons are not showing on the top bar. They did once at the beginning of installing the theme but after I edited a couple of things in the Theme Panel they have disappeared. What may have caused that?
My site is not yet online so I can’t send a URL that works.

I would suggest disabling Jetpack.
Use this page to scrape new information for the posts till the issue is not resolved: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
If after deactivating Jetpack issue is not resolved, install P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler) and find out which plugin is taking the most time. Disable that plugin and check again.
This issue occurs when FB is not able to get information about the page in first 10 seconds. It will not update the information and new scrape has to be performed.
I’m struggling with the same issue. My site information is picked up only after first FB share click.

I want to add these onto the following pages :
a. Home Page
b. All Category Listing Pages
Now to add this I want the last Modified times for a dynamic page i.e. for the category page i want the time when the last post was added to that category or the category was modified and for the Home Page when was the last article or any change was being made on the whole website.
Please let me know how can this be achieved.

All of a sudden, as I paste a “POST LINK” to my 10KeyThings Facebook page, it is not showing Post Title, Post Featured Image, Post Description. It is showing only the Website name.
Latest plugins I have installed are:
Auto Optimize, EWWW optimizer, and Jetpack today after the problem.
Other plugins I am using: All in One SEO, CloudFlare
I have even installed the latest theme 6.6.4 today to get this problem sorted. I have tried removing all the plugins too. Deactivating all the latest plugins too. But the problem is still standing.
Could anybody please address this concern asap.

Previous themes I’ve used for my newspaper had the option to automatically set the first image in a post as the featured image. Newspaper doesn’t seem to support this. I’ve installed a plug-in that should provide this functionality, but it still doesn’t work — unless I manually select a featured image, I get the placeholder image as the thumbnail in blocks and category pages.
But oddly, I also get *two* images in my RSS feed — the featured image, and a thumbnail of it. This is a problem because MailChimp parses the RSS and send it as an email summary to readers.
Any suggestions?

Please try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come with our theme and test it again. It seems to be conflicting plugins. Please let us know how it goes after this advice.

I have checked your screencast and I saw what’s the problem. It seems to be an issue might be caused by conflicting plugins. Please try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme. Also, please check your custom modification if you have some changes for this kind of block wich could cause this layout damage.

The new version of WP is compatible with the new version of our theme: 6.6.4 but i do not think this will fix your issue. Please try your website with a default wp theme like twentysixteen. If the issue is still there we will know it is caused by WP and it will need to be reinstalled. Also please leave just the visual composer plugin active. Disable all other ones to rule out plugin conflicts.

I have checked your website and I saw that you have a problem with your sidebar. It seems to be an error that might be caused by the conflicting plugins. Try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme. This issue could be caused by the widgets tile. You need to use just standard letters on the titles. Any other symbol such as !, @, #, $, or – , _ or language specific characters, will cause the sidebar and the widget area to remove widgets and sidebars.
Try to deactivate all plugins again, leave just Visual Composer, empty all caches and test again.You also can try to make a new local install on your computer, with the latest version of WordPress, the current version of the theme available on themeforest, V 2.3.4, and Visual Composer plugin, then check if the problem is still there.

As I am about to make a switch, I see a new update today. Downloaded also. Good, but which one should I install? I mean install the first one that I just purchased and downloaded and then update it or straightaway install the new update? Of course, common sense tells me install the updated one but when it comes to WordPress themes quite often common sense doesn’t bring a desired result :-). Pl advise.
Hi, since I installed the theme in my site some images inside the post switch each other. At the moment I see this problem only browsing by iPad. As you can see here in this page: http://www.gadgetsvirali.com/gadgets-invenzioni-innovative-per-migliorare-la-vita-quotidiana/ you can see below the content there is a light-blue box with a robot as image. If I browse by iPad I see a different image: http://snag.gy/VYklq.jpg as you can see it also happens in the Facebook like box it show up a pizza image 🙂

All the issues are still occurring. I installed the latest newspaper update too.
Really not sure what to do. The GD library is already installed. Should i update the latest wordpress (4.4.1) or it’s not compatible with it yet? Will that fix it?
I am sorry but I really do not know how to do it:
1.How can I find what is the latest Newspaper theme version installed in the server?
2.Can I just install the latest update or I do need to upgrade, for example, to 6.6.2, then 6.6.3 and then 6.6.4?
I stopped installing the latest versions as my site was not having any problems.

Every time I install a new version of the theme, I have to re-add code to my header and before the closing body tag.
Is there a space somewhere in the theme to insert this code so that I don’t have to add it every time there is a theme update? I do not see a spot in the theme panel unless I am missing it.

We saw a bunch of plugin that have this functionality. We installed 2 of them and the second one worked for us. Maybe you can find another one that does the job well. Unfortunately this is the only option as the theme does not have this functionality. Hope you find a plugin that works out!

Please try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. Another thing you can do is check if you have GD Library Installed. You can see it in your Cpanel. If not, contact your hosting provider. Also, please check your System Status to see if any parameters need to be adjusted: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/

It’s been a problem for months on our site, so I wouldn’t say we’re just waiting a temporary fix 🙂
